PO Box question- how big a box do I need? -

I run a business from home which sometimes requires me to mail packages directly to clients. I am somewhat uncomfortable including my home address as the return address, and I was considering purchasing a PO box to use as my return address. The price goes up dramatically if you need a bigger PO box. If I purchase the smallest box and a package I ship gets returned, would the post office be able to receive it? I don t plan to have anything shipped to my PO box, but it would have to be able to receive returned mail and packages. Do I have to get a large box?

Sounds like a lot and that amount you should have drawn up a written agreement for a time in which it should have been paid back. You can always take him to court, but with no hard proof I don;t know where that will get you, remember a verbal agreement is only worth the paper it was written on.

I suggest making a trip to go and see him. Maybe he can make payments to you instead of paying the whole lump sum? Try setting up an arrangement. If it s worth it to you, you can sue him for the money but you have to have proof that you lent it to him.

Mgmt or Hos. TM. A warning though, Bus. Mgmt tends to focus on HR...meaning it won t teach you the monetary skills that u ll need (fortunately these are usually req d for any business major).Hos. TM may propel you towards a seasonal industry as ppl prefer to travel in the summer months, but making sure the customer is happy is a big part of business, and if u want to open a hotel or a business that focuses on the customer, I would definitely consider this.It would be a good idea to hedge ur education tho. I also intend on opening my own business shortly after graduation. I am an accounting major, and am currently getting my masters degree (1 additional year on top of undergrad). I personally feel that accounting or finance are your best options. Accounting would be my number one suggestion because it gives you an understanding of the big picture. I interned this past summer with Northwestern Mutual selling life insurance to get some sales experience. I feel like if I am able to keep the books and i know how to sell a product, all I really need to do is get some capital and figure out my niche. How can i get ready to own a coffee shop? -

i am just a freshman in college and i am wanting to own a coffee shop someday :)I need to know where to start, what i need to research, classes to take, stuff like that.im thinking about getting a job in a coffee shop so i can get the feel of things and learn new things.thanks! :)

I have 4 years of coffee shop experience, here s how I think it should be done:Break down the costs: Building, 2 espresso machines (verisimo for example), a dishwasher (Hobart makes good ones), 2 brewers, 2 fridges, 1 freezer, 4 carafes for keeping coffee, and the POS system (3000.00) are all the big purchases. Next get the finances organized. (If you re broke like me, that means loans...but no worries, a well organized cafe can pay these off relatively fast)Then start scouting for a good location. This is HUGE. Cafes that hide fail. It needs to be very visible, and hopefully near a school or shopping complex. Organizing store appearances, recipes, and the ordering the small stuff like cups etc are what comes next, and at this point the order isn t a big deal.

Your best bet. Find someone that ;s in the business and ask them to mentor you. People love teaching other people and find it flattering when asked the right way. Other than that you just need to get a good grasp of the world around you. The numbers and the mechanics of owning a coffee shop are easy. The other stuff takes a lot of work, such as employee relations, customer service, marketing to your target audience, and lots of other things. Good luck and never give up. The only guarantee for you is that you ll be tested and run into rough spots. Push through it....it s worth it!!

I love your spirit of entrepreneurship. Here s some pointers.Major in business. Take courses in management, marketing and accounting. Learn salesmanship. Owning a business is all about providing value to your customers. Go to your local library and check out books on selling.A retail/restaurant business is one of the most challenging types so you will need to be ultra prepared in order to succeed. How to get online dealer license to buy auction cars? -

Any real websites, were I can actually get my dealer license; to buy on auctions. I am not looking forward, opening a car dealer or lot, but more as a hobby!! Would greatly appreciate your answers!

Every State is different , in Pa. If you sell 5 or more cars a year you get Dealers Tags Licensing. Never heard of on online Dealers License never heard that as a requirement to buy cars from online auction sites. However , there are DEALERS only Auctions. In our Area MANHIEM Auction is both a public and jusyt dealer on some sales.

I need to get more avon orders, any ideas? -

i think i will just about have enough orders :) but i would like more, because i really do need the money for christmas! do you have any ideas on how to get more orders?? like places to go and hand out avon books etc BTW ITS AGAINST THE RULES TO KNOCK ON PEOPLES DOORS AND ASK!

I want to start a website but I have no idea where to begin? -

I have been trying to gather information on starting a website for my business, but I am still totally lost. I want to create a website to sell items that I make. How do I go about doing this? And what does it cost?Do I have to get my website name first? And then what after that? I am not very good with computers so I need very basic instructions on what to do and how to go about it.Thank you.

I wanted to create my own website to promote products. I tried to build one using how to build a websites . They were easy to use but they didn��t really do what I needed and like you said the control panel was way confusing.I found this place on Facebook. They guaranteed I could build a website after I used them. It was actually pretty cool. They were able to log right onto my computer and show me everything I needed. It took about 2 hours. When I was done I could build just about any kind of website I wanted.(I have found website building is very addictive)I keep making page after page and can customize it anyway I want.It was only $75.00 and they were very professional. I think they were just starting out. The guy that helped me was really nice. He explained everything he was doing while I watched from my computer screen. Then I took over and he watched and talked me through all the steps.

I m not sure what items you make, but if it s anything craft related at all, try etsy.com It is a very reputable website for people to sell and buy crafts they make. With the info you ve given us, I wouldn t suggest a a website just to sell things. You ll be 9,976th in search results, and unless you sell things that are truly unique, people won t find your site. Also, I know I d feel more comfortable buying from a seller on eBay, Etsy, etc. before buying from a private site.

Depending on what kind of computer you use there are many different way to get a website started. If you use a Mac, then iWeb is the best and easiest way to get started. If you use a PC then there are many different drag and drop website programs that you can use. Having a Domain Name isn t necessary to have at first but thinking of one that you are sure that you can live with for a while is a good idea. You will however, need to have one when you decide to publish your site.I hope this helps

Since your not very computer savvy you should just seek out a web designer they can be a bit pricey but since your running a business and you will need there help a lot they may work with u on the price. Your business name will most likely be the name of your website. If your looking for a price range i would look towards the 1500 range for professional work.
