Steps to becoming a successful entrepeneur? -

I m interested in buying a Mcdonald s franchise and have done some research. thus far i ve discovered that the co. requires all it s owners/operators to have extensive experience in successfully running and operating a biz (which i dont have). I m still in school working towards my biz management degree. I thought that i should atleast start w/ a small biz franchise (or a cheaper one) to get the experience. but what are some other hot deals? I currently work for a bank and am working my way up to the supervisor position.

This is a very big question, not answerable in this forum. I can tell you that education (not necessarily formal) and experience are what will lead you to success. You may read about the 23 yr old wonder who made $14m, but those stories are far and few between. Those are sensational and easily make news headlines. Hard work and persistance will pay off. A McD franchise is well over $1m to open now and without years of multi chain fast food restaurant management experience and large net worth, it won t happen. There are other options, but with a franchise you are basically paying to become part of a proven system for success and they charge a premium for that. It is a shorter path, but more costly upfront.

Mc Donalds franchise is a HUGE investment. depending on what the demand is in your market there are cheaper franchises. I know postnet is fairly inexpensive.
