Resellers don t pay at tax time - its not an income tax. Normal pay times are quarterly - the state needs a constant flow of cash! You get a form from the franchise tax board and state the amount of sales tax that you collected from your sales, and forward to the state. The resellers permit allows businesses to purchase stock and materials for resale and not pay sales tax at time of purchase (wholesale). You will get booklet explaining the details when you apply for the permit.
