Technically yes you own it - the same as you own the dishwasher you have bought from Dixon that they haven t delivered yet.The seller is able to cancel an auction after it s been paid for due to not having the item anymore but if this has happened to you, contact Ebay and report the seller as technically they are not allowed to do this. Good luck.KD
Unless something has changed with ebays rules: the seller is obligated to deliver the item they sold once payment has been made. If they do not, you can report them to ebay and they could be banned from ebay altogether. It s like any other financial transaction. After you make the payment the item belongs to you.
In theory you own it and are just awaiting delivery to your home. In fact, it is not unknown for ebayers who have not achieved the price they want to conveniently damage or lose the item and you get your money returned (which is the last thing you want if you are looking forward to getting a nice near new laptop at a super bargain price!)
