yes, your option is either to accept the job or refuse it. it is legal to offer u at a lower wage, as sometimes existing employees have been asked for pay cut as exemplified by former GM workers, or no pay day off as exemplified in california govt employees.
I would call your local labor board, and inquire as to what your options are in this matter. I don t think they can do that! If you were laid off for more than 2 weeks, maybe - you would have lost seniority. But how do you know that they won t do this again in the future.
Yes. It is legal and I believe you have to take the job or you can t collect. You might be able to file additional unemployment to make up for your pay cut though.
