Can a business sell a service contract for 8 hours prepaid and have that expire in one year In Washington? -

I have a business in WA and one customer says that in our state a service contract where customers prepay for services cannot expire. After doing some research I cannot find any such provision but I am not a lawyer. If you can answer, please cite something... Thanks
