As an dba can i deduct on my taxes my car and gas i use my car for business 75% -

Enter more detail here (Optional)

Not sure what a dba is but if you itemize deductions, you can claim certain mileage allowance (if it exceeds a threshold) or you can try keeping detailed records of all car-related expenses and them claim a fraction of those costs as business expense. But unless you have lots of itemized deductions you might not benefit from going the full itemized deduction route.

When you figure your yearly mileage, you take the percentage average from your daily mileage log that is related to business. The mileage from home to your place of business is considered a personal expense, so don t count it. Be careful of trips that include stopping for a gallon of milk as well as meeting a client for lunch. Uncle Sam loves to inspect your daily log, and your business calendar.

What do I need to do to make at least $100 a month from Amway? -

A friend (of course) told me about this amway thing and i signed up...it all seems a little too good to be true to make money and perhaps a MLM scheme...BUT i have not completely lost faith in it. what do I need to do to make 100 or 200 bucks a month? how many people do I need under me? how much pv do I need to order for myself? thanks!

don t get involved. you just end up losing money in the end unless your the the TOP upline of the supposed team you are under. They are the ones who pressure you into going to meetings and trainings that involve out of pocket travel expenses and other events you have to pay out of pocket attendance fees. They also entice weak minded people by showing you a fake bonus paycheck and claim that expenses are tax deductible. There is also a lot of learning and training material that you have to buy from amway, but in reality the learning tools are the real way they profit (the upline of your upline). I read parts of a very good book when I was introduced to this mysterious business . I dropped out immediately but my friend who tried to recruit me stayed 3 years until they came to their senses. The author was in amway a long time ago (80s and 90s) but the culture of amway and the series of events that transpire are pretty accurate and were similar to what my friend ultimately experienced. I feel sorry for your friend. don t get fired up!

Just for your information, it is not perhaps a MLM but Amway is a MLM. Your friend who recruited you should have told you the compensation plan. If he or she doesn t, then he or she is not doing a good job. That is the requirement of being a leader in any MLM or to be nicer, network marketing company. PLEASE!PLEASE!PLEASE!DO NOT ORDER FOR YOURSELF...You will be wasting money. If you find the products good, use them as a consumer but DO NOT stock up products.I have friends who did this way and lost a lot of money. They will tell that by buying products to keep makes you committed and motivated to recruit more people so you can get rid of the products for yourself. But please do not do this. I learn this from investing and that is the risk/reward ratio. If the reward that you are gaining is not as good as your risk, then that ratio is against you and you should not do it. So do your sums, if you require to pay $500-$1000 to make $100-$200 every month. That means your risk is bigger than your reward. And if I just take $500 per month for example..You have to invest $500 to get $200 (ideal example). This means that you are paying $300 extra every month to the company for nothing. Think about this. All the best..

Nobody s buying Amway anymore, the economy got rid of most of everyone s surplus cash for luxury items. The Amway thing is like a pyramid, the person who recruits you gets a cut of what you sell, you end up with very little. Might as well get out of it while you can and return the materials.

What is quot;Conditions Applyquot;?Why is it in small fonts in the ADs?How customers suffer by this tricky words? -

Many Ads are very attractive to the extent that customers are duped without their knowledge. Why this warning Conditions Apply is almost illegible?Government also does not care about this practice which ultimately leads to customers grievances.

they suffer only because they don t pay attention and hear only what they want to hear. You noticed the disclaimer, right?

The words are there. It s up to you to read them.

How can you tell whose a scammer on Gumtree.com? -

Ok i have never come across this on Gumtree but they sound like scammers to me because they both using the same kind of story:Customer 1 said:HI, thanks for the mail and i just want you to know that i am buying this item for my SON who is currently in abroad but i wish i could make it face to face and see the present condition of the item but am not n the state now if you don t mind making the payment through paypal, so kindly send me your paypal email ID so that i can make the payment as soon as possible and i will send you 60 USD for the shipping cost via USPS priority Mail Deliver. Thanks get back to me as soon as possibleCustomer 2 said:Dear seller,Thanks for the reply, and am happy to read from you.am interested inbuying your item for myson who will be taking his flight to West Africa Nigeria tomorrow nightso i will like to the total cost of the item plus shipment via FedExor Normal Post services to Nigeria.i will prefer to make the payment via Paypal.so let me have your details in order for me to proceed with the payment:Mrs B.PhilipsSo what im thinking is if i do give my email address of paypal how could they hack me or scam me? They need the password to do it shall i give it?

THEY DO NOT NEED YOU PASSWORD TO MAKE A PAYMENT TO YOUNEVER, EVER, tell anyone your PayPal password ...Anyone who asks for your PayPal password is a criminal SCAMMER .. don t even bother to reply (if they emailed you at the email address you registered for PayPal, then they already have everything they need to make payment to you).Anyone who gets hold of your PayPal password can empty ALL of your accounts that are linked to PayPal (that includes maxing out your Credit Card and your Bank Overdraft) ... and anyone who gives their Paypal password to some random eMail spammer will get no sympathy (and no repayment) from PayPal ..As to the above == well, in theory, both could be legitimate buyers, however I would suggest they are both crooks == they are getting ready to con you into sending your stuff abroad to an address that is NOT the same as the Paypal buyers address (most likely they have phished the PayPal account details off some other poor mug who has no idea that they are about to buy your goods). You MUST NEVER, EVER, send anything to an address that is NOT registered as the buyers PayPal address = if (when) the buyer claims it never arrived, PayPal s computer system will automatically reverse the payment without question if you sent it to the wrong address, your appeal will be automatically refused (see link 1 below, about a US con-merchant, most likely using a phished German PayPal account, who conned the seller into sending stuff to him in USA) Now that people have gotten wise to scams using Western Union / MoneyGram, the more clever crooks are starting to use PayPal s system of always stick the (honest) customer for any scam (link 2 below)

HUGE SCAM: Ignore it.

Of course this is a Nigerian scam. You don t EVER give anyone your Paypal address or password. What they do is create a fake Paypal notification which they email to you referencing your account address and saying the money is in your account and telling you to send the item or send them the shipping reference. You believe this is a real Paypal email and try to log into the site from that email, but you are just giving your login name and password to a scam site. http://blog.gumtree.com/paypal-scam-alerhttp://www.419legal.org/reporting-fraud/This is such a common scam on Gumtree - they don t even mention what they are buying. They say this item and send this same email to everyone who posts anything for sale. Don t believe me - put up another ad for a used iPhone or Laptop and you ll get exactly the same messages. To protect yourself from scams, only deal in face-to-face transactions where the buyer gives you cash when they pick up the item

Charity Business how to start? -

charity Business how to start

first you need a business plan in a charity you may need to access funding if you are client - service user based its hard to advise you without knowing what kind of business you are going into but if you are service based you will need market research to see if enough work is available,a start up loan from the bank may be needed to access premises and fitting out of the work place once again it is hard to advice without more information on basis of your charity, i would recommend you talk to a financial advisor at your bank good luck and best wishes in your venture.

It s quite common now for people to set up a charity. I dislike the idea, unless it is for something that does not already have a charity in force. If a charity already exists for your chosen cause, then setting up another simply takes money away from the original by adding another set of admin fees. Unless you have a good grasp of finances etc then you will lose a lot of money in overheads.

Your question is a little unclear as a charity is not a business. However, a charity can run a business arm. Please can you expand on your question and state which country you are in?

Visit the Charity Commissioner s site for all the things you need to think about before setting up a charity. There s a lot of information there.Good luck!

You need to register the charity with the Charity Commission. See www.charity-commission.gov.uk.
