The bidding on an item that I had listed ended on eBay and the buyer is outside US which I am not happy about.? -

What are my options now?I don t want to send the product out of USA for any reason.I have not specified in my text that the shipping is within US only. But I had the option for shipping open to US buyers only. Isn t that sufficient for me to ignore the first buyer and pass on the product to second chance? The buyer has 100% feedback but only 28 feedbacks! What are my options. I don t want to end up with a negative feedback. Please help

Sorry........you needed to clearly state your position........you didn t......now ship or get some negative feed back........

Why dont you sell world wide?you have to pack the item securely anyway! As an ebay seller myself I started selling in my own country then offer my items worldwide and havent looked back. Its easy to work out postage costs, just go to a shopping company website and enter the weight and destination.

Hi,If you had the block buyers outside of USA enabled then you wouldn t have had this problem. The buyer is able to leave you a negative feedback bad DSR numbers so there aren t many options.

If you checked certain boxes in the Ebay listing preferences it would not have been listed on non US Ebay sites, even if the buyer asked it to search for International listings. If, in the box headed by Other Info it said United States beside Ships To, then you may have a case. What is says beside shipping in the main listing is less important as that usually lists the shipping costs and most people only list shipping for their own country, regardless of where they ship. So it depends whether your ships to box said North America, US, International or a combination of some other countries. I m pretty sure that what you select for that box controls what Ebay sites your listing shows up on. Now, if someone from a foreign country went to the Ebay.com site (instead of ebay.co.uk or ebay.ca or whatever) to access US listings not available on other sites and didn t check where you were willing to ship to (in the Other Information/ Ships To box) then you may have a case saying that you specified that you ship to US. If you are passionate about this you will likely have to spell this out in your listing. I often go up on the US site, being from Canada, to get things not available here. Even if sellers list US under their ships to heading, almost all will ship to me when I assure them I will pay by Paypal and have 100% feedback. Over the last 5 years or so I think I ve run into fewer than 5 sellers who won t. If they spell it out in their listing and say absolutely no shipping outside of US so please don t ask, I don t bother with that listing. I used to sell a lot on Ebay when I was home with my kids and always listed internationally. I figured the more people bidding the more likely I might get a good bidding war going. I shipped in person from the post office so it was no different than shipping nationally. It takes about 20 seconds to fill out the green customs slip stating what you have in the package. The US slip looks just like ours although the US post office insists that you sign yours for some reason. I think that came in after the Anthrax scare although I m fairly certain that people happy to poison others through the post would find forgery a fairly doable offence. If you are certain your listing was restricted to the Ebay US site only you should have a case. (you would have had to restrict the item while listing it. The default is that it will show up everywhere which is why many people also spell out in the listing where they will ship.) If the person pays via Paypal and has 100% feedback I wouldn t worry. They paid honestly for 28 things, they are unlikely to stiff you. If they pay via Paypal, you have the money before you ship anyway. Iwould worry more about a neg feedback as a 100% rating is worth something as a seller. You should get a shipping price that includes tracking and insurance, however, so you will be well covered with proof that you mailed the parcel. Good luck.
