In general, NO. Contract jobs are just that: you get paid X dollars for the contract job. When job is done, you re out. You are considered to be self-employed, and get a 1099, and you have to pay your own taxes. If you are paid a W2, but was told you re a contractor, then there s a problem. However, holiday pay is completely optional, and even sick leave may be optional, except in certain jurisdictions, such as San Francisco, CA, where sick leave accrual is required by city ordinance. ---Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II daysLaziness: resting BEFORE you are tired.
