Whats the best way I could make extra income online if I have web development skills? -

I ve worked for 5yrs + in a web design development company. Now I ve quit and want a change. However, I d also like to put my skills to use by perhaps setting up an online site of some sort to generate extra income.Should I look at importing/selling? building link directories? any tips on good areas to look at? I m not afraid of work and have skills but don t know much when it comes to this side of things.. (have always developed or designed on behalf of clients)

I would say freelance sites, although these can be impossibly competitive due to cheap overseas labor. Craigslist is another good place to find work. Any sort of SEO and linkbuilding services are in high demand, especially if you can provide above average quality. You might want to look into the freelancer sites. There are people out there looking for programmers, designers and such. Just do a search on google for freelance web design or something similar.Good luck!
