Does anyone know the legalities of buying products from sites like dhgate.com and reselling them? -

I am looking to start a business by buying products in bulk and selling them online and around my home town. I have ordered things and they seem to be legit (from dhgate) i just don t want to get in trouble legally for selling them. Thoughts?

You need to make sure the items are legal to sell. They have to be from a country that is friendly with yours and the import duties have to be paid if they are manufactured outside of your native country. Talk to a lawyer who specializes in import/export law. You need to make sure you collect all appropriate taxes. Talk to the Small Business Administration to learn how to apply for a state sales tax permit.
