Is using a till easy? i start work soon and it would be the first time that i work on a till? -

please give me advice on operating a till

You will receive training (of some-sort) and one of the existing staff (should) be assigned to help you and answer questions for the first day or so.The best advise I can give is PAY ATTENTION and ask questions if something is not clear. If you are unsure of something, it is better to ask NOW and be corrected than to get it wrong LATER ... When you are shown something new, ask them to watch whilst YOU do it ... and go through it a couple of times until you get the hang of it ..NOTE I believe a lot of places make YOU responsible for any shortfall in the till .. any mistake with money (wrong change) will come out of YOUR pocket.
