If my magazine was to run a writing competition for poetry and short stories, what legislation applies? -
We would charge a small entry fee of 3 - 5 and there would be a cash prize (50 - 100) and publication in the magazine. I have looked at the Gambling Act 2005 and it seems that because it is a skilled competition (i.e. not just a phone in type thing) we would not need a licence, but is there anything else we would need? Many thanks! (PS we are in the UK)
