Accounting software for quot;home usequot;? -

I m renting my apartment and would like a small software package (or customized excel sheets) that would help me maintain a simple set of accounts, up to the final accounts stage. Should be free as well, ideally :)I m used to working with Sage, but it seems far-fetched for a small set of accounts. Any ideas?

why do you want to get so sophisticated?just use a spread sheet if this is only one rental
