I live in Bangladesh.I want to start export business to singapur. How can i start it? -

Hi! I;m from Bangladesh and I do export to China.Singapore is a bit tough market for export of commodity items. However, for any export from Bangladesh you have to have the following:1. Trade Licence from Dhaka City Corporation or other CC or Municipality where you live.2. Bank Account (Current A/C).3. Export Licence from the office of Chief Controller of Imports Exports.4. Income Tax Certificate (with TIN clearly mentioned).5. EXP Number (given by your Bank on behalf of government s Bangladesh Bank). 6. Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate (PSI). In some cases SGS inspection and its certificate7. Country of Origin Certificate from DCC I or CCC I.8. After you have got a Buyer (Importer) in Singapore for your item to be exported from Bangladesh, you have to issue them Proforma Invoice (Quotation).9. The Buyer will send you Sales Contract for you to seal and sign10 . The Importer will approach their Bank in Singapore to issue Letter of Credit (L/C) in favor of your firm/company s name address, that would be advised through any of the correspondent Bank (if your local bank is not known to them or doesn t have presence in Singapore) that will come to your Bank either by SWIFT or by Telex (obsolete now).11. After you have the original copy of the L/C (you may also have 100% Advance payment made by the Buyers through TT, which is only possible if your Buyer knows you from past deals) you prepare the cargo as per the Terms Conditions of the Sales Contract and/or the L/C.12. Get the cargo PSI/SGS and complete the formalities as mentioned above.13. Print Commercial Invoice (Number of copies as per L/C).14. Print Packing List (Number of copies as per L/C).15. Contact any C F Agent who will handle stuffing of your cargo in any of about 12 private container yards, if the cargo will go by Sea. If the cargo is for shipment by AIR then use ZIA Dhaka.16. Have stuffing pictures (in color) with Seal Number Container Number clearly shown.Get the Bill of Ladings (B/L) and then send all the shipping documents stuffing pictures to the L/C issuing bank through your L/C negotiating Bank. PS. In case of 100% Advance payment made by TT to you, you just courier/DHL all the above docs/pics directly in the name address of teh Buyer in Singapore. There may be some minor or major issue surface when you actually make first shipment. But those can always be taken care off, if you talk enough with your local bank and with people who have already been exporting to Singapore.Best of luck!
