What a nice name and simple for computer stores? -

I am planning to open a computer store, and confused about the name. The plan is to sell computer accessories, laptops, hardware and computer services received.

How about Going Out of Business or Everything Must Go because there is a very good chance that s what s going to happen very shortly. The margins on what you re planning to offer are extremely low and the competition is huge. Currently, everything you re planning to offer is readily available on-line so you re competing against a global market of very cheap manufacturers selling directly. I m not saying that there s a guarantee that you won t make it but I would be very cautious about opening a brick and mortar store. Have you considered doing it on-line with heavy local advertising? That way you can save more on your capital investment, put more into advertising and have less financial risk if it doesn t go well or starts out slower than you thought. Just a thought....good luck.

What did you say? Sell computer accessories?? Man, why would you sell computer accessories these days?!

What to do if you sent off a money order with an amount lower than the total cost of a product. I went to a st? -

I went to the grocery store to get a money order for $174.00 which I thought was the total cost of this product i was buying. i realize later on it was an extra 10.00 for S H which I must have overlooked. So the total cost is $184.00. I already sent the money order off and I m a bit worried i will not receive the product. What should I do?

it is not a big deal, because just for $10, moreover, you overlooked it, and you were not intended to do it...

Can you really be successful selling Mary-Kay? -

If anyone has done it before or has some advice?

Mary Kay is a Multi-level marketing companies (MLMs). Statistics show that 99% of women lose money in all MLMs. I used to sell Mary Kay myself and I regret the decision.1. A Mary Kay Lady will tell you that you only need $100 for a starter kit. This is true, however in the days following signing your agreement you will be strongly encouraged, manipulated, guilt tripped in any way possible to buy a large inventory package. This is where women get themselves in trouble, and wind up putting thousands on a credit card. You don t have to buy the inventory but the shipping cost for lots of small shipment will severely cut into your profit. Beware--recruiters will do whatever it takes to get you to buy that package. They make a commission!2. It takes a lot of time to make any money. Don t expect to get rich. It sounds great because you make 50% of whatever you sell right? Say you sold a $100 order to a customer at a home party. You would get $50. That means in order to make $20,000 a year you would have to find 400 people to buy $100 of product. From personal experience this is very difficult. Most people aren t willing to buy $100, and you begin to run out of people to sell to. The way Mary Kay would recommend getting over this is talking to strangers in grocery stores, malls, and anywhere you go. The market is saturated with people desperately trying to sell these products. Besides...20,000 is hardly enough to quit your job over.3. Since Mary Kay does its business through parties. You would have to go to hundreds of woman s home in a year! Mary Kay promises you will get to spend more time with your family and spend time at home. This does not happen because you will be at people s homes, Mary Kay meetings every week, or prowling the mall looking for people to sell to/recruit.4. You only can make a good amount of money by convincing others to sell Mary Kay too. Actually you can only make money if they buy inventory so you can make commission. This means you have to convince all your friends, family and coworkers to sign up and put thousands on their credit cards for inventory they probably won t sell very much of.I m sure a lot of people will disagree with what I ve just said. Some pf them will claim their life is fantastic because of the Mary Kay way. But if you need more proof go to http://www.pinktruth.com/ There you will find lots of women burned by the Mary Kay industry. These women include professionals, and people who worked hard at selling but still got the short end of the stick. If you are considering signing up think hard about it. There are only a small percentage of people in Mary Kay that make a lot of money. Almost everyone will tell you that they are making a ton. This is usually not true. Mary Kay ladies are famous for the phrase Fake it till you make it. Best of Luck

Almost 99% of all new reps lose money in their career. They always blame themselves. They think that they could have succeeded if they had just worked a little harder . It is a tough job. You are not only competing against local department and drug stores. There are also 100,000 other reps who are already selling. Most businesses want more buyers for their products. MK wants more sellers. That is not a business model that is meant to make you succeed. It does make the company succeed because new reps always buy lots of products. They wanted a job but they became a customer.

Yes you can be successful selling Mary Kay, but it is not easy. I consider myself successful; however, I am not rich. I lost my job 7 months ago, after having been with the company for 5 years. I started my Mary Kay career 3 months and a stack of We re sorry but... letters. Luckily, my husband has a decent paying job but the loss of income was devastating. I have made enough in sales each month to offset his income and keep our bills caught up. I truly believe that if i put in more than 10 hours per week (including phone calls and office work) I could make much more. Right now though, I am enjoying being an active part of my children s educations, and a room mother. There are women in my unit that make more than 3k profit each month, and my director makes 6 figures per year. There are more failed stories of Mary Kay than there are success stories. I recommend, if you are interested in becoming a consultant, going to www.MaryKay.com and inputting your zip code to find a local consultant. Go with her to a meeting and meet some of the women who are actually working their business. Don t base your decision on those that were not able to make it work. It is not the right choice for everyone. Get information from websites and people that decided it wasn t for them, and information from those who it is working for, and make the choice that is right for you.Good luck what ever you decide to do. =)btw, I didn t order a large inventory to start with. That is another personal decision, but it was strongly recommended to me. I built my inventory by taking less profit and ordering one or two extra products each time. It is slow going, but it is working...for me.

Yes, you can look for evidence and find it to support either theory it all depends on you if you love and use the products you can do well. Mary Kay Ash took he life saving to star this Company 46 years ago even though she was told she would not succeed she made the decision she would. what is your decision lay out the pros and cons make a factual decision not emotion or based on someone Else s stories and always follow your heart desire is the key

Does anyone know if Target buys products at a store level...? -

...or must it go through the home office and buyers? Also, if anyone has any tips on how to get a product into stores, rather than jus selling online, I would really appreciate it!

You must go through home office s buyers. That s how Method line of natural cleaners got launched, though they first sell through local hardware stores and such. ---Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II daysAlways remember you re unique, just like everyone else.

Im planning to start a export business from india ,? -

i dint get any clear idea of what to export and where to export .. i don t know how much i should invest.. can anyone give me ideas like ( even if its going to be a small business, which im looking for ! ) what are the things which i can export... to which country i could.. what license should i take.. how can i get the people from other countries... and stuffs.. www.trade-india.com was the website i found out but how should i go about with this web link.. please help.. thanks in advance

To add to Sridhar s: The DGFT s offices have mandated quarterly filing ofaccounts, that unnecessarily adds to you your work burden and the goons can demand hefty bribe s that will such dry your meager profits. One approach is to get started on a commodity for which you are able to secure an Order and carefully do the pricing and go through the trade and payment processes document them and then go about creating a website to enable quick interface of your Clients at least with yourself.

All the best. You will need lots of patience for the vicious circle to get completed. Choose the line you are familiar with to start and then you can expand. There are lots of paper works involved besides running around marketing and banking and customs

Can i employ somone between 14-18 year old for my cleaning business? -

Yes, you can! However, they need to get a work permit if they are 14-17, before they can legally work for you. You don t have to worry about that part - they should do that through their school. 14 year old s are allowed less working time during the school year, so I would probably go for someone older. It is perfectly legal, though, and a work permit would dictate how much the kid is allowed to work per week. I hope that helped!

Most states have laws for workers under age of 18. Often, their work must be signed by their parent(s) or guardian. And they cannot use any of the more toxic chemicals. It s probably more trouble than it s worth.

How to set up a small lab in home.? -

Same question three times? Thanks for the six points.

How do you start a daycare? -

I want to start a daycare in the San Fernando Valley CA. I am not sure were to start. Is there a license you need to get first? any tips or suggestions please

if you want a professional day care. which is the best way to do it because the state will send you more kids and is very well paid this way. you will need to take some child development classes and psychology. go to a counselor and tell them your plans they will guide you through it. after you have taken some classes you can start working on getting your state license. good luck

you will need to get in touch with the regulatory body there and get correct information. Most times they require that you have enough adults that will take care of the children, this will depend on how many children you have enrolled.

Limit to watch 6 kids or get certified to watch more.

I sold an item on eBay, I specifically said no returns, I got a strike and he sent it back? -

I no longer have the money. not even in my bank account. Now what? I m just going to close my account ey?

There is no no return policy on eBay. If they say an item is significantly not as described they can always return it, and you can t stop them unless you prove they re lying. They just don t take it back instantly though. they usually go through paypal who lets you know it s coming. Once it arrives, you can look it over and contact paypal if it arrived damaged. (It sounds like you didn t respond to paypal emails. (Your spam filter might have caught them.)I ve been buying on selling on eBay for many years, and have been on both sides of Paypal s system. My best advice is don t sell trash , but there are some people who complain and want $ back even if it s perfect. good for buyers, not sellers.

Would you please recommend a hosted VoIP solution for my small business? -

I m ready for hosted VoIP at my office. I don t have money to waste and I m shopping for the best price and features for my dollar. I m looking for less than $40 per month per user for the deluxe/full features plan. I m looking at several companies. Ideally, there s no (or few) minimum user requirements and no requirement for using this same company s high-speed internet access, unless it s better priced than my business cable internet. It must be a hosted solution. Are there any issues or items or fine print ( wish I would have known before ) that we should consider before getting hosted VoIP? Any sites that rank national providers, features and pricing? Would you please recommend a hosted VoIP provider/solution for my small business? I could use the help in making the best decision.

You can visit this site it has lots of great information on free voip callshttp://voipsms.blogspot.com

u may be ready for it, but VOIP is not every going to be feasible cause of the law of physics.those who offer it say our clients do not mind the echo.

Check dslreports.com for VoIP service provider comments and comparisons.Make sure you know the bottom line price (there are often surcharges and fees that can tack on 10-20% to the advertised price).Make sure that YOU own your phone number(s) and that you can port them to another provider. If you chose a reputable provider (ask for references and to try the service before you sign) and use modern equipment, you should have no issue with echo, noise, etc.Make sure that the provider has a service level agreement that specifies what they ll do in the event of service disruption (e.g., automatically forward your calls to a landline for free, etc..

I am thinking about joining SurveySay.com are there any risks? -

If I join this website, are there any risks that I should be aware of, is there anyone who has any form of experience with paid online surveys and what if I do not want to take the surveys anymore?

I ve never heard of that particular site but there are always risks IF you join a scam. The best Get-Paid-To site is Points2Shop. Here is a youtube video showing you proof of payment (meaning this site really pays its users):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMFNY6-U27gIf you want more information about legitimate paid surveys, you can check out that youtube channel or visit stackchange.com ... it s best to read reviews about survey panels so you know what you are getting yourself into.

oh good question:well, anyway theres this site called ********, i absolutely loooooove it :D its a survey/offer site thing, where you fill out surveys and such. blah blah. and you can make a LOT of money a month.i have made over 10 bucks already and ive been using this for like... idk, a week :) im a teen and this is the way that i earn money. lol. :Phttp://www.*************/1550973thats the link :)i also have this other site that lets you earn money, except you can only join by email.. so if you want to, msg me :) its called lockerz.good luck!gosh, i wrote a lot. i should be doing my essay. lol.EDIT: ahhh, wtf. it blocked out the website name...? omg.. ugh. apparently im spamming? uh no.. well if you want the site, msg me. sorry :(

How can I get a job at age 14-15? -

Hi. I live in Long beach, California and I would like to know if I could get a job. I need a job because I want to help out my parents with stuff like bills. Does anyone have any suggestions?

at the age of 15 you can get a work release thing from your councilor, and as long as you dont work over 30 hours a week its legeal, then all you have to do is find a job that will hire 14-15 year olds, probly a shitty job but a job is a job

a local contractor might need someone to sweep up, or do a little demolition work. I like to hire high school and college kids for that kind of stuff cause they work cheap. And they are usually more reliable than the crackheads willing to work for that price.

Do you want like a real job or do you want to work online? If you want like to work at mcdonalds or something you need a workers permit.. if you want to work online you only have to be 13.. so no worrker permit is required but I do suggest you be very careful which site you chose.. There are alot of scams out there.. I do this site.. just copy and paste in your url..http://wowcashcrateisawesome.blogspot.com/2009/11/finally-way-to-make-money-from-home_24.html

u can see many quotes saying that u can earn upto 20000$-30000$ per month BUT ican challenge you that u can earn 1000$-2500$ for a week by spending one hour time/day .the earnings may increase with increase in ur time in this .....affiliate marketing is a great way to earn the extra money you need to help you make ends meet and live more comfortably.definitely u will earn more than the other ways......................http://www.easyonlinejobs.0fees.net

oh good question:well, anyway theres this site called ********, i absolutely loooooove it :D its a survey/offer site thing, where you fill out surveys and such. blah blah. and you can make a LOT of money a month.i have made over 10 bucks already and ive been using this for like... idk, a week :) im a teen and this is the way that i earn money. lol. :Phttp://www.*************/1550973thats the link :)i also have this other site that lets you earn money, except you can only join by email.. so if you want to, msg me :) its called lockerz.good luck!gosh, i wrote a lot. i should be doing my essay. lol.EDIT: ahhh, wtf. it blocked out the website name...? omg.. ugh. apparently im spamming? uh no.. well if you want the site, msg me. sorry :(

I need to ask how to mail this? -

How do I mail a small item 65 grams, four by four inches, throught the postal service?

just get the box that usps is offering. the flat rate box.

Least expensive method would be First Class. You re slightly over two ounces, so with lightweight packaging, you re still under 3 ounces. If you have special considerations, like Return Receipt, check with a postal clerk. It s probably best to mail it at a postal counter anyway.PackagesWeight Not Over Price1 ounce $1.222 ounces $1.393 ounces $1.564 ounces $1.735 ounces $1.906 ounces $2.077 ounces $2.248 ounces $2.419 ounces $2.5810 ounces $2.7511 ounces $2.9212 ounces $3.0913 ounces $3.26

Wrap it up in a box or put it in a padded envelope, address it, bring it to the Post Office and tell them you want to mail it. They ll tell you how much it will cost. You pay them. They ll send it.

put it in a small cardboard box, complete with bubble wrap. address it and send it. my advice pretty much is anything you can t fit into any envelope, put it in a box.

just use a bigger box. the post office has a flat rate boxes that is like $4 it will be big, but you can just use newspaper or something to fill in the gaps.

depends on what it is? if its a cannabis wrap it in a zip lock bag and grounded coffee. but if not get the box from the postal service and its a one price box and you can ship anywhere!!

If it s not too fragile and flat, buy a small to mid-size padded envelope. Otherwise, get the smallest flat-rate USPS box.

get one of those yellow envelopes with the bubble wrap, or without.

go to the post office they have boxes and bags there they can tell you the best way to send it

How can I maximize my profit from a home based relaxing massage business for women? -

There are two ways to go1. Set this up as a legitimate business (license, insurance, etc.) and you can write off many of your house hold expenses from your taxes. if you don t need the tax write off, you might think about option 22. Have an all-cash business and work off the books. There is the risk of the IRS finding out, which will result in additional penalties when you end up paying taxes. The think to keep in mind is whether or not it is legal to operate a business from your home. Things like this are usually covered under city ordinances and very greatly from one city to another. If it is against the law and your neighbors don t like the additional traffic that your business is generating there is a good chance someone will report you.If it is legal, your best bet is to do everything on the up up. Most massage therapist travel to their clients and bring their table with them vs having the client in their home.

unfortunatly your question is NOT specific enough, it is almost like how do i become rich? anyways, here at the things that might be important to you.In order to atract the most people to your business you have to make sure that the business is advertised properly. Decide who you want to have as a customer (as you said woman, but what age, how rich, how close to your house etc) then consider their needs.-- id you want to charge premium prices for the massaged then make sure that you offer the right service (pick them up at home or come to their homes)if you want to adress the broad public (depending on where you live) then you will have to charge little money and atract many people.be sure to advertise your business in magazines, and at clubs (golf club, tennis club, etc)tell your neighbors and extend the offer from simple massages to facial mask, to saunas, yoga classes, ... there are very few limits to what you can do.

Happy Endings. But seriously... Offer product. Sell something that they can take home. Candles, lotions, skin products... something that will add to your business. Make house calls. Advertise somewhere other than the newspaper or phone book.Radio is good... TV is better.Word of mouth is best.So give good customer service... so again...happy endings... :)

You can make money if you tried right method. I tried many method, but could not make money. I found the best method that works just amazing for anyone. I create easy money using this method. You should have look right information that works. I recommend you. You can get more information here bit,ly/ijdfnbod57 (Please change , to . in the link)

Wow I could probably write 50 pages but here are my 2 cents. I am assuming here that you get enough customers into your store and you just want to maximise either the average sale or the profits or both:1. Cross SellingStock your stores with products which are complimentary to the service you provide. One of my clients is making more money from the sale of USANA products she stocks in her beauty parlor than the service she provides.2. Up-SellingWhen customers come to you do you advice them on what others services they could benefit from while they are there.3. BundlingBundle services and offer a very good value so that customers spend more.4. Loyalty programCustomers get a discount or free service after n visits. 5. Referral bonusDiscount or a free service for every customer who refers n other customer6.Birthday offersGive special service to customers on their birthday. 7.Joint Venture.Find a complimenting business and create a joint venture to maximise revenue and profits. If you need more specific advice drop me a note at saviopb@gmail.com

happy endings......it sounds funny... but very lucrative... .......too many creeps.. so i wouldnt do craiglist or anything...go to some places.. like tanning salons or hair salons and hang a flyer.. if your good.. word-of-mouth will spread.. good luck.....never offer happy endings.. but if they ask...... never know.. good luck

By not cornering yourself in only serving women. If you want to maximize your profits, don t specialize exclusively.

I work with a relative who has his own business. How can we make sure that we get our money for services? -

Ok here s the situation, we have a couple of clients who write us bad checks, and they end up bouncing in our account. We are a small business. Are any ways to make sure that we get the money from the bounced check that is due to us? Or is someone we can contact regarding the matter because some clients never end up paying, of course they ignore our calls.. Please help

The Attorney General acts on your behalf when you get a bad check. It is a crime. Take all your proof. Sometimes one call from her gets you all your money. You can set up your business so that you only accept cash. You can offer a 5% discount for the inconvenience.

Call them up again and leave a message or letter telling them if they don t make good for the check it s going to collections on specific date. That s all you can do. Some customers end up like this. Just mark it off as bad debts.

your situation is common to business owners, and you must allow in your accounting system for bad debt and the cost for attempting to solve bad debt, and allow yourself several months time before trying to spend any check a person had provided to you (because you too might overdraft your account and there s a cost for overdrafts too which should be listed in your accounting system). As you know, selling products and services are two totally different things and are each handled differently. When there s a product it s a physical thing and it can be returned, charged off, returned to the producer, etc. But with a service the only recourse you have is a contract (and a witness, which is a less strong defense because it ends up bring a he said she said type situation that needs a judge to solve and that will cost you court costs and fees.Basically there are two types of contracts, and that s a written contract between two people that spells out everything that will be done and how the matter will be handled if it is not paid and if it goes into collections. The second way is somewhat like the first but it s done on the estimate and says the same thing. All contracts require a signature of approval by the client/customer.Their signature is saying they agree. If you have a brick and mortar store then people are less likely to fear a contract and they sign willingly (and their purchase is either on a credit card or you have a camera in the store, or they have to show you an ID on which you write their drivers license on their check....this is all your proof of purchase). If you have a small business from home and don t have your business license displayed or your business is in a home where it s not allowed to be by county law or some such where a request for payment from someone could be counter-sued in court and you d be in trouble, then people/customers are less likely to pay or to think you re in a serious business or are seriously in business. When you start a business you need to hire a CPA and an attorney and that needs to be a part of your business costs (and business plan from the start) and when you have those on retainer they will help you when you need things paid for. You then must bill your customers 3 times before you take them to collections, then collections can ask for money 3 times and then it goes to court if no money has come forth. The court document asks that the customer either respond by mail and court form or appear in person with their response. Usually if they want to save their credit they will appear in court and try to make a payment plan or at least give the judge a good excuse (which doesn t go over well). If no plan is made the judge will award you and either you can ask for a garnishment of wages or a judgment (lien put against their property/assets). All of this is a cost of doing business . Although there is a judgment does not mean that person would pay you (after all you ve gone through to get this far). However there is one more step a business owner could take and that is to force the judgment. That takes another filed document in court which gives the sheriff (after the business owner and lawyer have determined what assets that person has) the ability to take the asset, or at the very least to put a lien against that asset which assures that when they sell that item (car, house, boat) that you will get the money they owe you. Here in my state we can also insist that something be cold in order to pay us. As far as I know that s not done often (too much work) but when there s a lien like on a house when that house is sold then the money off the top is given to creditors like relative s business.I ve explained this so that you can provide your relative the information. Otherwise if you show you know more than they do for your own good then they might not ask you to help them out anymore. If the amount owed is not worth the attorneys fees, time away from the business to be in court, cost of filing fees in court, or the biz owner knows the people are down and out and really can t pay, then what s simply done is a charge off on the accounting records. They claim that as a loss on their IRS taxes when they file prior to April 15 of that year.

If you were to create a business what would type would it be? -

No detail, just bored xD. What would you sell? Need some ideas, brainstorming a list for a project.

Yes, you just create a business. I guess creating a business simply the way it is

it would be a restaurant.i don t care about money but cooking is ur passtime so it would be awesome to have a restaurant.(acutaly, my husband already owns one)

I would open up a gun shop with a shooting range So people can try out their rifles, sort of like a test drive before they buy. That would also be in my slogan. Come test drive your new rifle.

Would a small business that produces and sells Dune buggies and Sandrails be successful? -

I am thinking about building Dune Buggies and Sand rails and selling them. I am also planning on hiring a few other people to work with me when and if I start making money. Do you think I will get good business?

I believe any business will be successful. The key is locating the correct market. Try using Google insights to see where searches for dune buggies and Sand rails are originating from. Once you locate the area(s) that have the most searches for those terms, start researching if there are any SUCCESSFUL dune buggy and sand rail businesses in those areas.edit: I searched for you and it seems that the Australia is a great market, along with North and South Dakota

Wow they do sound like fun, I would also look at hiring out Dune buggies as a way to keep the income coming.I guess the biggest issue you would have is location, Australia has some great places to have fun in the sand, but you need to ensure that they are not protected areas, Would you also consider selling the buggies in Kit form so that others can build them themselves again, you can then benefit from selling replacement parts etc.If you really want to find out what sort of demand there is for your business and how much people would pay for, then there is a company called Idea-Testers in Australia that I have heard of that can do the research for youWish you the very best of luck

It depends on 3 things - location, location, location.

Business UK! Selling products online...? -

I want to start up a business that imports products from china and sells them online. I have already found a supplier and I am going to sell around 6 items on the site (max of 10). Instead of having a lot of products im decided to stick to a small amount of affordable everyday items to be sold to a mass market. I will have an online shop and open an ebay shop too.Could I do this business as a sole trader? What laws effect this business? Are there any laws or anything i should know about from importing goods from china to sell?

Hello CliffYou can run your business as a sole trader, which makes you personally liable for everything that happens in your company. It may be worth thinking about setting up a limited company. It doesn t cost a lot - under 100 - and gives you more protection. As Grandad Jim says, you need to notify HMRC within 3 months of setting up.Think carefully about the terms and conditions of your supplier in China. What s the minimum quantity they supply - usually it s a container load? How and when do you have to pay them - this affects your cashflow? What happens if there s any faulty merchandise? What s the order lead time? If you re running low on stocks, how quickly can you restock?Business Link is definitely worth talking to. They have a lot of free information on imports and exports and usually have an advisor who specialises in it. The UK Trade and Investment people are helpful, too.Good luck!Rosemary

well, if your laws are similar to the U.S., you ll need to:Register your business locally, so that the government knows who you are and where you are, even if you are working from home.Register your business with all levels of government for tax purposes.Prepare yourself for any possible zoning rules. If you are receiving shipments from a big truck every other day, your neighbors WILL eventually complain. You will have to pay duties and various other import taxes on the goods , for every shipment. In the U.S., this tarriff is quite low from china. Not sure why though. Everyone kisses china s a.s.s.Finally, you ll have to keep quite detailed records of inventory, sales, purchases, expenses,... the usual accounting stuff, and your taxes will be due every 90 days, not just yearly as it is with income taxes with a wage.Again, this is how it is in U.S., but i m sure it s similar there.

I import goods from Ireland. Firstly you have to register with Inland Revenue for tax and NI purposes. Where will you be storing your goods? You do need to think about that, I had a lockup backing on to rail lines and I lost some stock to rats. If you are using your home to run your business from, you may have to talk to the planning dep t.at your local council. You can get help from Business Link (www.businesslink.gov.uk) I have found them very helpfulHope this helps - good luck.

Net trade is legal , you wholesale products from China website in very low prices ,and resale to others peoples.many people do this business.

As the market condition is well known to us pls.help me in this regard

Here s an off-site typing opportunity for your consideration. If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a certified graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. What are some good business to start or get into when moving to a small town / rural town? -

yeah... lolI doubt like, freelance designing would do well in a small / rural town? Am I wrong?

Probably not, but jobs like that are often possible remotely. Is there some specific service you have the ability to provide? Also, how small are you talking about? 500 people or 5,000 people, etc..?Based on what you sent me...The population there is around 27K. That s large enough to support just about any business type, even freelance if you are able to market yourself efficiently. Based on your skills you could partner with similar but not competing businesses and provide referrals for each-other. There s probably a number of businesses that may be looking for someone with your skills as well. Anyway, the city is definitely large enough that there are many options...

I want to know where I can get a license to begin my own business in housekeeping, Does somebody know? -

I do not have a job right now ,but I think there are better chances to get money if I establish mi own business. Can somebody help me find information about it? I thanks you in advance.

you go to the library and read a book about starting your own business

You ve altready asked this. My answer didn t change.

I want to be a consultant...? -

like partylite or pampered chef or avon but what others are out there?

Mary Kay, Fantasia, Mela(something), ACN, Amway... there are dozens. These MLMs are money-losers for most consultants. In the vast majority of cases, participants would be better off keeping their enrollment fee and sticking it in an interest-bearing bank account. But if you won t miss a couple hundred dollars if it doesn t work out, might as well give it a go.

I think you need to really weigh your options like I did just months ago in your same shoes. I will share with you the pros and cons I found from each direct marketing company. Send me an email and we can disucss offline in great detail.

Why ?

What are the business needs and the impact of factors external to the end user of the new product or system? -

That s an exam type question drawn up by non business examinersAsk the same question of almost any businessman he will ask What in the hell are you talking about Afraid the academic world the real world are miles apart

Does anyone know any lagit websites where i can work and make money from home? -

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

It s LEGIT, and no they re aren t any real ones.

Small business ideas please? -

My mother and I are going through some financial issues... and we want to start up some sort of buisness on the side... do you have any ideas of what we can do thats easy to start and brings in some sort of a profit?

i have two ideas i don t know how serious you will take these but here goes.when i need extra money i go down to the store and buy some big bags of the individual chips, a big jar of pickles, cheap sodas, something to start some flips with.and all you need is word of mouth and one child and you have a little home store. the child will always come if you live around a lot of them and they see other kids with some thing. one summer i racked in about $500 dollars for my daughter s school clothes.the second is if you or you mother has the patience and the time to .in the state of florida.they have a program.that help you open up a at home child care program.there are a lot of mothers now looking for a place to have there kids while they work.the state pays you around a $100 dollars per child.per week

Regulations on selling goods in england without english translation? -

can anyone help me!! im currently selling goods with only german wording on the packet, what are the laws on this?

I don t think there are any specific rules on this. But there are rules on things like listing ingredients, providing warranties, giving safety warnings, size and washing instructions etc. These are usually provided on or in the box and clearly, for the UK market they will need to be in English.Obviously the rules that apply depend on the type of product so it is impossible to give accurate advice here. You also need to be aware of other rules that may apply to certain imported products, not just related to language. Germany is part of the EU common market, so there will not be many restrictions. But there are some rules. EG it is illegal to sell electrical goods without a properly fitted UK specification plug.

Im doing MBA.. but along with that i want to start my own business.. what can i do for this? -

Maybe you had better wait and complete the MBA. Getting a business on its feet will probably take up all your time. The fact that you re asking such a question here on YA raises a question as to your readiness to start a business.

So, you re doing an MBA, probably with a view to going into consultancy or becoming a senior manager, and you re asking us how to start a business. How are you finding the course?

As you are going to start a new business, you will have to spend more time on that to establish. Hence my suggestion is to complete MBA and start a new business.

If you want to start your own business, why are you wasting time ands money getting an MBA? do you even have any real work experience? that is a lot more important than getting an MBA

for that my suggestion ishttp://biznuss.net/index.htmli hope it will be beneficial for youkeep using answers.yahoo.com

Hiring based on lookS? -

do you think hiring based on looks is unfair to hard workers ? especially those unemployed person because of recession?

Yes, it s unfair. But that s the way it has been and always will be. There s no objective way to discipline a company because they hire people with better looks over skilled workers. One personal example in my life was that I had 10 years of experience at my job and was really good at it - the department did need a new worker and the manager hired a blonde bimbo and she got my shift and I got put back down to a worse shift. She didn t know what the ***** she was doing (sorry about the language). Her and the manager had an affair (they were both married). Freakin ridiculous - but you can t really do anything about it.

How can I make extra money on the side? -

I m seventeen years old, and I can t find a job at all. I ve been looking all over but no one seems to be hiring. I m still trying to get hired, but I need to make extra money on the side. What can I do?

Perform household services. You can earn some money informally by letting friends, family, church members and others in your community know that you re available to clean their houses or apartments, or to take in ironing. If you find you have a knack and stamina for cleaning quickly and thoroughly, you can turn this into a regular, reliable way to earn extra money every month.

When you apply for a job don t concentrate on your need for money. Your job is to convince the employer that hiring you will benefit his company. To prove it, offer to work for a week and if they are not pleased with your work they don t have to pay you. Also, do some cold calling or drop in at local companies. If you can get in the door before they even run an ad your chances are multiplied. If you answer an ad, you compete with dozens of others.

There are many ways to make extra money, but how you make extra money is dependent on your current sources of income. Since your day job usually pays the bills, how can you make extra money? Heres some ideas to help kick start your brain into thinking about how to increase the earning side of the equation. These arent considered passive income (filling out opinion surveys for cash rewards does take time), but they can help generate some take-home pay to help reduce your debt and potentially get you some breathing room.

There are a lot of ways to make money on the side, you just need to be creative. Here are a few:-clean out your closet and sell old clothes-get a census job (the 2010 census will start hiring soon, they pay around $11 an hour. check out their website for more information).-find odd jobs on craigslist. There are plenty of people in your neighborhood that need help moving/cleaning. -make a blog/website and use google adsense to get paid. the internet is a great way to make money, and best of all, the possibilities are limitless.Check out this guide for more ways to make extra money and to help you start thinking out of the box:http://www.ehow.com/how_5556055_make-extHope that helps!

Buyer threatening feedback/report for quot;fakequot; item on eBay? -

Grr.. This has me really upset. I sell some fragrances. I have nearly 400 feedbacks. ALL are positive and not ONE is even neutral. I am a very honest seller obviously. Anyway, I had some Dolce and Gabbana on sale (boxed etc.) and she receives it and cries Fake fake fake! . She is threatening me (for no reason) and saying she wants a FULL refund and is going to open a fraud case against me and EVERYTHING.This really upsets me because there is no need for that. I am an honest seller and have NEVER had ONE complaint on ALL 200 D G perfumes that I sold. It s one thing if she wants a free product..but another to threaten me for a refund. What can I do? eBay doesn t seem to protect/care about sellers. And I am worried if she opens a file that they will freeze my account. I m not sure how that works to be honest. It sounds like she doesn t even want to send the item back. I have no idea what to do. This woman is not only threatening to completely ruin my positive feedback. She is saying she will open a fraud case against me! She is a liar and this is stressful to me because I don t even make money off selling those (maybe like $2 a bottle) and it s not worth the pain. But I just find it really upsetting. Someone like her could ruin the small steady income I use to barely scratch by in nursing school. I take it very seriously.I was thinking about reporting her and sending the header of her email to eBay...but what would that do? Then they will just start thinking I am a bad seller, etc. I m not sure.Someone help. What can I do to protect myself while resolving this? I told her I would refund her...but I would like the item to be returned. I have a feeling, from the tone of her previous email, that she will not be doing this.

I say it really isn t worth having a heart attack over. You can offer her a refund, or you can report her first to eBay. I think eBay might side with you, since you ve tons of good feedback.Side note: I know what you mean. I used to work as a freelancer on reverse auction sites. The buyers became very corrupt at the start of this year. I d do the work precisely as they wanted it, then they run off and try and get free service. One time they sided with one scumbag, and all the money that I earned goes back into his pocket, and a couple of other times I got paid, but they allowed him to leave unfair, false reviews. They wouldn t do anything about it.I had built a solid reputation on that site for a year, and just a couple of bad reviews did the trick to completely ruin my reputation. (The way their rating system is programmed doesn t help either.) So, instead of having 10 stars, it s now down to 3, just for a couple of idiots. I just decided to screw that site. They won t be getting any more commissions out of me!

I m a seller. I ve never gotten - feedback. But I figure that if you do enough sales, someone is going to get pi$$ed off.Offer her a refund if she returns the product. If she leaves - feedback you can leave a response. Beyond that, it s not worth pursuing or getting upset about.

The simple answer that I give in a situation like this is to make sure you have a return policy in your auction description. The few times I ve had a buyer return an item, I send a polite email to them, making sure they understand my refund policy, and ONLY after they ve returned it to me, will I give a refund. I also advise them to pay a little extra to get delivery confirmation, to prove it was returned to me. (I always get delivery confirmation when I ship an item to a buyer.)Don t refund until she returns it. You may get a negative, but you just can t give in to the threats.Good luck!

Is Trustedeal.com a good place to wholesale things? -

I want to import some products from China and found this website by chance. The price is really good. But are they reliable? Have anyone had experience with them? I d like to know.

No, but I like alibaba.com

I haven t heard the site yet. However I have known an online wholesaler in China, Myeglobal. It is a reliable site and its price is competitive too. Maybe you can try it.

What is a good and legal work at home site? -

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people

What is the copyright policy behind using product stock photos in an online retail store? -

I own a retail store and would like to expand online. Should I have to take pictures of the individual products or am I within the legal rights to use the manufacturer stock photos for each respective product? I would rather not have to take each individual photograph. Thanks

You can t scan a hardcopy photo and use it.Most companies provide online stores with approved product pictures for online stores. Contact your vendors/distributors and ask them for the pictures.

You have to read the licensing agreements.Legally you cannot use a photo you find on the web with out the photographer s permission. My favorite stock photo website is http://www.photo-wizard.net Here is where you can find some other inexpensive stock photo directories: http://www.small-business-software.net/sAnother site list can be found here: http://www.webmaster-elements.com/webmasGoodluck

Typically most sites are scams but you CAN make money online rather easily. It s not typically a job but a pay for performance kind of thing. #1 thing done online to make money is affiliate marketing. Basically you review and sell products and then you make a cut of the profit. Sometimes up to 75%. It adds up pretty quickly. Find something your passionate about and figure out a way that you can monetize it. To work online you need to be pretty self motivated.

How do I calculate how much overdraft I need for a start-up business? -

I have calculated all of my other finance needs, but am not sure how to calculate what my overdraft needs will be. I have done a month by month break even analysis and a projected profit loss.Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Check your structure type : http://www.acemanagementgroup.com/downloads.htmYou can get sba financing with decent credit.http://www.borregospringsbank.com/sba_express.asphttp://www.superiorfg.com/main/Default2.aspxAs long as you turn in all your paperwork it takes about 2-3 to get money directly deposited into your bank account. There is a fee but it is only paid if you get funded. No money no fee!

I believe you mean overhead and that is the all the costs of doing business whether you are making money or not....it s your operating expenses (rent, equipment, payroll, supplies, utilities, etc.). How much overhead costs are depends on the type of business you are conducting. I have a home based business and my overhead is quite low, if I moved my business to an outside office, it would be more because I d have separate bills to pay.Overdraft is usually a protection provided by your bank in case you overdraw your account. Some use your savings account, some open a line of credit for the overage, you d need to find out from your bank how they handle overdraft protection/insurance.

Starting an equine store. I NEED A SHOP NAME?? advice/suggestions/ideas/etc? -

Alright, i have decided to open an equine shop. I am going to be starting small, and then expanding when it picks up. I will be opening it near Jacksonville MD, which is close to Towson. There is already one small equine shop in the area where i am hoping to open it, but they dont offer anything western, and they dont have a very good selection. It is a heavily horse populated area. I do, however, need a name for the shop!! any ideas? i want something catchy, but nothing too...plain, you know? One equine shop in PA near where i used to live was called Puddle Duck Creek.....and i DONT want something like that.? it doesn t really have anything to do with horses... what are you suggestions? also, any other ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!!

I m not going to make suggestions, but give you a few things to think about when you choose a name. Don t rush the process and pick a bad name! 1. What do you want your business name to say about your business? Don t restrict it so much that you can t expand or diversify in the future. Once I talked to a woman who named her shop Linda s Candles. It was four years later and less than one-fourth of her store had candles in it! Ok how do i get trademark(TM) for a clothing company in Boston MA? please help? -

i have all these great ideas but don t know how to take a advantage of them...i love designing and i found some one to make my close but i don t know how to get a trademark...for my company name...law student any one help...

To protect a business name within your industry, you would apply for a trademark.Trademarks can be names of products or services, logos, slogans, packaging and even sounds and smells. In essence, a trademark can be almost anything that is used to identify a particular product or service. Registering a trademark grants the owner exclusive rights to the mark within the specified industry. It s necessary to have comprehensive research on the mark done prior to filing to ensure that there is no possibility of infringing upon another party. This entails searches of the pending registered Federal and State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files. Then, if clear, you can decide if you would like to file for a Federal or a State trademark. To register a trademark, that s done either through your Secretary of State for a State trademark or the US Patent Trademark Office for a Federal trademark. If you are only conducting business in one state, then a State trademark is most appropriate. If you conduct (OR are planning to conduct) business in at least 2 states OR between the US any other country, you can file for a Federal trademark.Hope that helps! I wish you much success happiness in all your ventures!

You re welcome! Please let me know if I can answer any other trademark questions. Best of luck to you! Report Abuse

The US Patent and Trademark Office website has the information and forms you need. http://www.uspto.gov

How much should I pay myself? -

I m currently starting a business and I m confused as to how to pay myself. I m going to be set up as a sole trader. I m going to be printing and selling T-shirts. This is how much I m gonna charge:Cost + 20%T-shirt: 1.50Ink: 1Artwork: 5.00Labout: 5.00I m so confused, I m not even sure if I m doing that right? Am I? or is that completely wrong? How much do I pay myself? I know the basics of running a business from what I ve read on the business link website but this is really confusing. Help me.

You should pay yourself what you think your labor is worth. That s how it works, it s simple.

Work out how much you need to live on over a year. Add up all your business overheads - there will be more than just domain names and hosting. Add them to the figure you need to live on. If you now take the cost of producing the T-shirts and double that, how many T-shirts would you need to sell at that figure to cover all your costs? If it s an impossible quantity, you either need to put up the price of the garments (will the market stand it) or lower your production costs so that you don t need to produce as many. For example:Living costs - 15k per annumBusiness overheads - 5k per annumTotal 20kT-shirt production costs 5, sell at 10, means you need to sell 2,000 T-shirts a year or about 50 a week to allow for slow weeks and holidays.

How much does it cost you to buy and print and sell a T-shirt? Double it, that is your RRP. You take 25% and pay 25% back into the business.Cost of T-Shirt/Printing/Selling = 5.00Retail at 10.002.50 pay to you2.50 back into the business. I wouldn t even take a pay until after the first year. If you are from the UK you can get working tax credits to help you live. Good Luck!!

well it depends really in how much you have sold and whether you have to pay for other costs such as rent etc and whether you ve still got enough to invest on materials for your next quantity.

pay yourself?you pay by people paying you. you make the profit. the profit is your payment. its your earnings.

Why would someone wanting to start a business wish to become a subway* franchisee? -

*subway (the sandwich shop)

I can t see why anyone at this point in the game would want to. The individual owners are making the smallest profit margins than ever due to the $5 foot long. I read in Newsweek that leaves a profit of 1.38 a sandwich, which is not a lot. If you sell 100 sandwiches in a day, you ve only made $138 profit for the day.On top of that, most small to medium size cities already have at least one, if not two or more. The internal competition coupled with external competition and pricing makes it a very risky venture.

A little birdy told me that her store sells roughly 60 sandwiches an hour during the busy hours of the day and anywhere from 20-45 sandwiches all other hours that day.. if your in a crappy location i might believe just 100 sandwiches in a day but around here its way more.. WAAAAY more.. Report Abuse

I have a ticket to work from home from social security how do i find a web site to help me get a job at home? -

i am in need of some one to help me and please i don t want any smart *** answers thank you for your time.

I am working from home with a 24 yr. old, debt free wellness company (which has earned a couple of awards from the BBB) and I love it!! It s a great opportunity to make extra money, get healthier products in your home, and help others reach their own goals. It s very satisfying and rewarding, AND a great investment because you are making RESIDUAL income! I KNOW with all my heart that I will be a lifetime team member! Partnering with this company does NOT involve selling products, purchasing inventory/samples, or going door-to-door---nothing like that! When you get started, you get a free web site, free training, and amazing ongoing support! This month there s an awesome promotion and it only costs $1 to get started!!!! It is not a get rich quick scheme...you have to take some time to build your business but you can make a pretty significant income over time! I love the fact that this is legit business, with very ethical and moral business practices, that thrives on helping people reach their goals! If you d like to learn more, jot me a quick email and/or send your phone #, and I ll get back to you ASAP! :-)

Jason, get yourself into network marketing. Once you start you won t ever want a job again. You don t need your own product, website or marketing tools...all that is supplied for you. I have been earning a living at home for many years doing this.

Check this business out. Blastoff is FREEYou can join early here! http://my.blastoffnetwork.com/computertu Watch the video and you will see how powerful this is.I hope this helps.

Try using http://www.MoneyCashCapital.com a really good source of income while you re at home .No b.s no scam or anything stupid like that jason , you should really give the site a go , not saying you re going to be a millionaire but it is a nice stream of money.

Take a look at the PowerBar Club. It will require some work but it can be done at home and using just your computer.Information video:http://offto.net/infopowerbarclub/

www.athomeopps.com is the website I would suggest. They list legit companies that will hire you to work from home.

Are there any real jobs that i can do at home? -

im looking for a real job that i can do at home that will pay me real money. Im 5 months pregnant and i got to school three days a week. Im trying to find me a place to live by the time my baby gets here

Yes, they can be hard to find though. I searched for months after I had my baby. I couldn t stand the though of taking him to daycare everyday and was luck enough to eventually find this website, www.athomeopps.com. They list companies that hire from home. These are all legit, never will they ask you for money or a credit card number. You won t waste your time for crappy pay. I would suggest customer service. There are many places that will pay you hourly, as well as offer benefits and paid training. There are other opportunities too if customer service isn t your thing. Good luck!

People often say that they want Freedom and the ability to make my own hours . Have you thought about the Internet? Working from home, at the hours that suit you, not your employer/boss, could not be better.Rather than go into detail here, have a look at these 2 websites. Both explain in great detail the opportunities available. You ll see these are not get rich quick schemes ...believe me, they don t exist, only in the minds of the people that promote them! But you can earn real money . http://www.Any-Income.com http://www.ActiveAutoIncome.com Have a look and see what you think.

For the 141st time this week, there are no real at home jobs.

Pulling a profit selling Mary Kay? -

Is it possible to really make a decent income selling Mary Kay? I just joined, and am looking to just make some spending cash.

If you want to make a little spending cash it will take a while. You need to build up a clientele that consistently order products from you and do large party orders consistently. The thing is with Mary kay, they tell you that you make 50% profit with everything you sell. What they don t tell you is you have to purchase your own section two items (towels, utensils for your parties, etc...) And when you have product that is discontinued, they encourage you to sell it at a discount. In order to make a larger amount of money you need to recruit people under you who are consistent in their orders. The problem here is your extra income is dependent on their orders.Personally, it s not worth it unless you have a regular job that pays the bills and you have no family to get in your way.

If you started in MK, you ABSOLUTELY need to bring money even if nobody buys make-up or joins your downline. Thus the necessity of an online system and the importance of Internet marketing training.I have a free video report, it s worth $197, it s free, of course, it ll outline how top MK salespeople REALLY earn their massive income. They won t share their secrets, I will.Click or copy/paste - http://marykay.mlmdonetherightway.com

Great name for consignment shop? -

I like Second Hand Consignment - but already takenPerhaps even A-Z Consignments as I will sell things from Clothing, household, furniture, hunting gear, etc. But I like something that is catchy - any ideas - please don t send me links to search - as I have tried that. Thank you. POINTS to best name

Get some friends/prospective customers together and sit around for a bit brainstorming names. Don t discuss the pros and cons, just let the ideas come out and jot them down. You will get more ideas than you ever expected, and some of them will be good. I have always liked the types of names like Aunt Libby s Attic or The Consignment Depot , or Consignment Junction or other things like that. Is there anything unique about where you live? If you are in a railroad town, then the depot and junction names are not bad. If you are at the seashore, then something like So and So s (or the name of the town) Salvage and Consignment would not be bad. Mountains? Consignment Chalet (okay, I am not digging that one...) You get the idea. Farm town? Consignment Barn . Detroit? Clothes and Stuff, Cheap . New York? Big Apple Clothing Recyclers and Consignment Center . San Francisco? Weird Uncle Betty s Steam Trunk or Uncle Betty s Used Clothing and Shoe Emporium . Okay, enough of that.

Wat r some important things 2 do 4 a babysitting buisness? -

im starting a babysitting buisness with my BEST friend and i wanted 2 know if im missing something important i should do???

You must get a license from a government! So that they can make sure that you are not some sick organization. You will get an inspector coming round to the place you will use annually. But make sure you have enough money into investing into this business before hand and take in all the things that will hold you back some way or another before you even think about it. BTW you spelt business wrong lol!

What companies would order some custom software development? -

Like what is the minimum revenue of the company that would order it? Or what is the minimum number of employees the company ordering it will have? I understand that 1-person or even 5-person company would not order custom software to be written - so what are the minimum requirements to qualify those companies that would order?

There are no hard and fast criteria, Its will depend on exactly what the custom software is required for, what the cost saving will be by having it, and whether it is cost and time effective to have it produced.Small companies, less than 50 may be 100 staff, probably do not have the revenue to buy in completely custom built software but may be able to afford to have a macro based customisation on top of an existing product i.e. Microsoft Excel/Word via Visual Basic macro s as opposed to a completely new spreadsheet or word processor. On the other hand if the developer sees a market for the product over and above a single company they may be willing to develop for a small company on the cheap and retain the right to sell it on their own.

Is it legal not to tell eBay Im a business? LEGAL HELP PLEASE? -

I think it s perfectly legal, ebay just wants to screw more money out of people. Here is why. Here is a quote from the ebay website The Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (April 2008) makes it an offence in the UK for a business to falsely represent itself as a private individual. So if you are misleading potential buyers into thinking that you are a private individual when you are in fact a business seller (ie: by not registering as a business seller with eBay), you will be breaking the law. source: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/business.htmlthat s fine but can t I just state in my listings that I am a buisness why do I have to have ebay do it for me?It sounds to me that as long as I declare I m a buissness then it s legal, there is no law that says I have to tell ebay that I m a business.Am I right?Or is it illigal for me not to tell ebay that I m a business and have them rob me more?Thank you.

I believe they are correct on the law.= but so what ???It won t be eBay that comes after you ... HMRC (the Taxman) has a computer that spiders the eBay auction site looking for high feedback individuals with lots of sales of the same items .. hits are brought to the attention of the Enforcement Officers .. I m sure eBay is well truly fed up with HMRC demanding records of individuals accounts and auctions going back 7 years ... (so they can discover if you are trading under multiple ID s)At a guess, eBay simplistic you are a business counter has noticed your sales have risen above some threshold and so their computer is spitting out a form email ..

Technically you are right - your responsibility is to ensure your customers are not misled and you have no legal duty to tell eBay.But eBay are entitled to make use of their service dependant on any conditions they choose. Whats more, I can see no disadvantage of registering as a business with eBay. And because buyers can filter the item listings on whether you are a business or not, it may be that if you don t register people will think you are a private individual even if you do try to make it clear in your listing.

it s up to you...but if you are a business you should be registered for VAT i think..so you will be breaking the law if you admit it then don t declare it.

just advertise your stuff as everyone else does

Now that your little rant is over, here s a couple of things that you have stated that makes no sense: can t I just state in my listings that I am a buisness? ....Ebay is operated by people, which means if you state in your listing you are a business, they will read it. It seems to defeat the purpose. As a business owner, Ebay or any other fees are expenses of doing business. Something else you my not have considered: Your customers. Wouldn t you as a business owner want to build credibility with your customers and separate yourself from the hucksters by having your business listed? People would rather buy from a real business than some Joe Snook who may steal their identity or credit card. You want people to shop at your business, but you re quibbling over something that you re going to deduct as an expense anyway. The problem isn t Ebay, it s your long term thinking that s a bit off center.

How hours is a salary Execuative Director of a small 3 employee nonprofit orginazation work, required to work? -

This small non profit orginaziton has a executive director and two part time employees. Two of her friends on the board are insisting the director get a $500.00 Christmas bonous because she is sometimes required to work over 40 hours per week. This orginization survives by fund raisers, donations and seldom grants and is usually very low on funds..

I served as ED of a nonprofit for a year. I took no salary, only a $200 month stipend for gas and tolls. If one wants to serve as ED, money should not be an issue - in other words, you serve for little or nothing.I would not think much of an ED who demands for money. Their heart is not in the right place.

The sad fact is that most non-profit boards are packed with friends of the ED.If the ED is shameless enough to accept a bonus based merely on the fact sheworks more than 40 hours per week occasionally (which should not be unusualor unexpected of an ED), there s little you can do about it.If you are a funder or volunteer, you can make your displeasure known and transferyour efforts to a more deserving organization.

Opening a small accessories shop on Etsy? -

I was thinking about opening a accessorie shop on etsy.com. does anyone have any suggestions or opinions. Please Thank You

I have an Etsy shop and I think it s great. It s cheaper then paying for a spot at a craft show and it s a lot of fun. Like with any business venture, you have to put some work into it though. But as long as you promote your shop and update often, you can sell well. There are a lot of sellers who have sold thousands of items on Etsy.

No but I would not open an accessories shop online. You should try and promote you accessories at events and swap markets before you place them online. Now I have never heard of the site ETSY.COM but if you know allot of traffic flow through I would give it a try.

My wife bought some whole sale products to sale. How much should she mark them up? -

she is unsure how much to mark them up.she not trying to get rich over night but she wants a fair price for her investment.

I worked in retail for a number of years and can tell you that retail stores mark of the merchandise about 100%. This means that if an item cost the store five dollars they will sell it for ten. The profit margin isn t nearly so high though because of all of the overhead, cost of the building, utilities, employees, insurance etc. If your wife isn t paying that overhead she might use about a 30% mark-up to be competitive with the retail stores.

Ah, compete. Usually what people who sell stuff is see what the market value is. If people are paying 20 to 30 dollars for an MJ t shirt I wouldn t sell it for 10 or 30. If I wanted to unload the merchendise quick and profit less Id sell at 18 and undercut the competition. Or I would just keep it in the middle. Like 25.00. Also depends on what you call wholesale. Did she but 20 dozen or a warehouse full? Thats a factor in pricing as well.

she has to see what normal retail price is and sell it for less than that

How I can found a company to trust to work an surveys Internet make money? -

I like to make some extra money, but I m afraid with frauds .

The surveys are scams. Your opinions are not really worth much. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

The simplest and safest way to find legitimate paid surveys is to join a paid survey membership site. A paid survey membership site will give you a long list of legitimate survey companies that you can trust and safely work with. They test and verify all of these companies in order that you can safely spend your time working with their surveys

First of all never be afraid in doing a business and if you have entered this line then there is no dissatisfaction you will win for sure given below are some sites which are famous in surveys try them and good luck http://dce0djtot3zfgl9lcdj016bt7r.hop.clickbank.net/http://302dckotn6u4gve2eixp-d499m.hop.clickbank.net/http://613afavvt8sfrmdd8gim0u6k1b.hop.clickbank.net/http://3ecdcgvit-zaqm6j9jw51ih5c5.hop.clickbank.net/

I am 24 and work full time but I found a site last year a friend recommended for making extra spending money online. It was free to sign up and has paid me every 2 weeks to my paypal.Pays in good dollar amounts, Not pennies.Even pays you when you sign up. I get to pick and choose when and what surveys and things I want to do, and it is super easy. It doesn t spam you like some other lame sites I tried before. I suggest it to anyone I can. I posted the link below. http://tryvindale.com/VfSRKYD63

How many years of business school should I take? -

I am 18-years-old and I graduate high school in January. I am having a little baby boy in March. I have always dreamed of opening up my own hair salon! I plan to go to college for business and go to hair school. How many years of business school would you suggest? Also, should I go to hair school or business school first? Any advice I would greatly appreciate!

Hello there,I do not like to disagree with your father. He knows you better and no doubt has your best interest in mind. However, if you are set on a hair salon, I would think it best to go to beauty school. After you get your license, you can work to help make money for college. The problem with that is the longer you wait to go to college, the hard it is to go to college. You have more things going on in your life. You have so many distractions, you will have a hard time going back to school. Also, you are older than the other students. All of that makes it very hard to go back later and get a college degree of any kind. Yes, it can be done, but it is harder and less likely you will get it done.Another reason I see your father probably wants you to go to college first, is that with a college degree you have more options available to you in your choice of careers. As a beauty school graduate, you have no other option. You are young. You may well change your mind what you want to do. You may find out that the hair salon business is not really like you dreamed it would be. Without the college degree, you are stuck. Either stick it out even though you do not like it, or start over and go back to college to get a degree. Remember my comments about it being harder to succeed in college the longer you wait. Now you have that tougher task ahead of you.Frankly, you may not need a business degree to operate a business. I am a lawyer who advises many small business owners. Most of them do not have college degrees. By the way, a great many small businesses fail and the owners have to find something else to do when their dream business fails.Maybe, you have been around the hair salon business enough to really know what it is like. Someone close to you may run one and you have already seen first hand what it is like. If not, then you may find your dream job is not what you dreamed it would be.The choice is yours. I do not know the facts of your situation. You know them best. Good luck,

Go to cosmetology school first. The program usually ranges from 9 months to a year, depending on how much time you can put in. Also, with this job you can work right when you graduate, even if your only a temp. If you went for your business degree (4 years), you would still not have your job yet, because then you still need beauty school. At least if you finish cosmo school you will have a job quickly and than can make money for your baby and school.

my advice is go to business school first so that you have your own diploma and you can manage your own salon if you are sure to have your own salon, but it is easy to go to salon/s if you are enrolled in hair school and find a job in any beauty salon out there.

go to hair school first so that you have money to open an beauty salon.

A college degree in Business takes 4 years. If you want an MBA, add another 2-3 years.

Hi tamilnadu people, do you know this business secret ? -

The manufacturing price of a commodity irrespective of whether it is a grocery item, vehicle or anything... will usually be maintained as a great secret by the manufacturers. Well, I come to the point without boring. In our state, the prices at which grocery shops sell thuvaram parupu (used for sambar) and ulundham parupu (uruttu) is at its peak now being sold for Rs.92 and Rs.84 per kg approximately. This is the price in supermarkets and big grocery shops. So obviously, in small shops the price will be even more. What is the reason for the skyrocketing prices ? Before four years we were getting these items for Rs.30 per kg. What is the price at which grocery shop owners receive them ?

try to track it back to its source to find out the real price.may be you can become a business man yourself.

I want to start my own coffee shop business, but I have a lot of questions!? -

1) Do you need a college degree to do start your own local coffee shop?2) How old do you have to be to start it?3) How much could I make a year if I m successful?4) What all do you need to know?

You will not need a college degree, though some business classes may be helpful, you will need to be at least 18 years old to sign contracts legally (such as leasing a space). Knowledge of coffee will probably be good, and you can make rough estimates of what your projected profits would be the first year. You should also look into incorporating or forming an LLC so that you are not personally liable in case the business goes under.

You need to know the answers to all these and more before you think about starting your business. Age, college degree are not what will stop you. What will stop you or make your business a failure is a failure to develop a solid business plan with realistic sales projections, details of the business, funding and financial modeling, hiring, employee handbook, etc. These are just a few to start with. Plan in detail now or fail later. I wish you all the best. Good luck

How Do I go about selling something on Ebay? -

I know it sounds like a stupid question but I have a collection of Boyds Bears i m wanting to sell that will be sold for what they re worth and I don t know if I d have to pay money to sell something over Ebay or what? Thank YouAutumn(:

YES YOU DO HAVE TO PAY MONEY TO SELL ON EBAY.. I think you can now list 5 items a month for free on ebay (at least on my account you can) but you STILL PAY A certain percent of the end price to them... and if you list for than 5 items a month you have to pay an amount up front bases of what starting price you list the item at (even if it doesnt sell...)plus the final sell percent if it does.

Well you dont have to pay money to sell on e-bay.I hope this was the answer you are looking for.If you need any additional information, please see my recommended resource at

Let them explain it to you themselves:http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/selling-

How to ship stickers I sell through ebay? -

I ve got a vinyl plotter and I was thinking on selling decal stickers through ebay but I m stuck on the shipping part. I want just the cheapest way, wanted to print a label but they don t seem to print labels for First-Class Mail Letter. They will be small stickers that fit on a standard envelope, and I don t want to need to manually write down the address and put stamps on each one cause the idea is to sell lots of them.

Try the avery.com web site. Avery makes labels of all sizes types. The kind that come on sheets that you can run through a printer are especially useful.

They have posted fairly promptly to my account.. I don t remember their posted policy, but perhaps they are waiting for the buyer to confirm receipt?
