Can I sue company for holding my domain name and website design? -

I had a website designed by a company and paid for that design. My account with them is due I didn t pay for the renewal and they took my site down. They are holding my domain name and the design is gone. Can they do that? Isn t that website design mine and if so how do I get it? Can they hold my domain name? They are costing me loss of money here what do I do? I don t want to renew with them because they are overcharging me for the domain name and the webhosting.

Well how much are they overcharging? ....Most of these companies are very competative so I can t see the difference in price between them and other companies being very much...and in that case if your talking $20 or $30 WHO CARES! If you sue them..the cost of that event will be monumentally greater than the difference of your other hosting service....times ten. So..thats really not a logical option.Get your site up and focus on making more money with actual sales, not by penny pinching expenses. For now I would pay the bill for the next year....and during that time, have your domain ownership registration transferred to you personally. Obtain the website on CD in HTML format and the raw design format (The actual files from whatever design software was used to create the pages) Until you do those things, they have you by the *allsGood Luck

They are costing you loss of money? Evidently, you are costing them loss of money. Pay your bill and talk to them about a plan to pay off what you owe them.I would ask for a copy on a CD or DVD of your web content (a backup) and make sure you are the registered owner of the domain (administrative contact).

o yes you can, that s not right if you paid then they have to hand it over i got something that can help you get pass this. shoot me an email djonesdak@gmail.com. i m certain i can help you with your legal fight for cheap.

What are some sites where i can apply for legitimate at home jobs in telemarketing, transcription, etc.? -

I work full time during the day as a medical transcriptionist and I want to get a part time at home job to make some extra money. What are some legitimate sites for telemarketing, customer service, transcription, etc. Entry level mostly. No spamming or advertisements!

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

You are asking specifically for websites that have home jobs? The website below has a home based career center where there are lots of jobs -- some are in-house, some are remote. Since you are already a transcriptionist, you will especially find it helpful, because there are TONS of remote transcription jobs.

I use many different method to work at home , but nothing worked untill I got this amazing method. It works just amazing and I create fast money after I got correct method. If you are serious and really want to make money online you should check this out. You can find info at link below.

none; not via the internet;if you are good at these things, check with your state employment services office.i presume you type 55 + wpm and have excellent spelling abilities.

If I want to run multiple businesses using them as dbas under the parent company, what do I need to do? -

In other words, I want to run several companies. Do I need to file each one seperately or can I group them all under one name and give the other companies dba s?

The best thing to do would be to file the parent company first. You probably want to set this up as an LLC, or a Limited Liability Company so that your personal assets aren t tied to the company.Once you have your main LLC, you can literally set up as many DBAs as you want for the individual company branches. Keep in mind that everything will still be one company with this model. If you file an LLC for Tom s Baking Supplies and then a DBA for Tom s Crusts, another DBA for Tom s Fillings and one for Tom s Toppings, they are all still one company. And under that model, if Tom s Toppings started losing money, that money would come from Tom s Baking Supplies, LLC.But the nice thing about DBAs is that if you have good business models and cash flow, you can certainly brand individual services or products under individual company names. I have a client that I work with who does construction. He has one LLC, but separate DBAs for his framing business, his roofing business and his home remodeling business. This works great for him because he can focus marketing materials on each business segment with a company name, logo, website etc. that is specific to each of those different lines of work. There are several online resources for filing incorporations and DBAs. You will need to file the Incorporation first, before the DBAs. Depending on your state, that can take a few days or a few weeks. www.clickandinc.com and www.dba-filings.com can walk you through the process and charge very reasonable rates. They also have good customer service and live support during the day to answer any questions. You can also file DBAs without having a corporation behind them, but then they are tied to you as an individual and sole proprietor. Under this model, your personal financial assets WOULD be directly tied to your company, and all income would have to be taxed as self-employment income. This works great for people that have a consulting business and don t want to put their social security number on tax forms (a personal DBA allows you to use a Federal Tax ID Number). It s not as safe a bet for people that run businesses with employees.

I aggree with the gentleman above. Very detailed answer.

How does the Tavelocity quot;name your own pricequot; deal work? -

Has anyone ever used this?

I haven t used the travelocity name your own price but i have used the priceline name your own price. It works really well and you can actually save a lot of money. I went to London a few months ago and I got a nice hotel there for $49 a night when the hotel was actually going for close to $200 a night. I would highly recommend priceline name your own price. The only thing is the bid is binding after it has been accepted, there s no turning back so make sure you put in a price that you can actually afford.

Where can I find information on grants for Christian businesses? -

I am wanting to open a Christian book store. In order to do this I will need a grant to help with the inventory. Does anyone have any information on obtaining a grant for this. It will be a purely Christian store and will be ran by only women.

You ll have to talk to the churches in your neighborhood, or the state or regional offices of whatever church you belong to.The word grant is typically used to refer to money from the government, but the US government does not give any money to any religious organization.

Not from government. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations hardly give grant money for starting a for-profit business. For private grants, you may want to check the Foundation Center s Foundation Grants for Individuals Online http://gtionline.fdncenter.org . It s a subscription based website ($9.95 per month) but their opening blurb only says that the database is ideal for students, artists, academic researchers, libraries and financial aid offices. Entrepreneurs are apparently not one of them, so I take it they also don t have listings of private foundations who give grants to would-be entrepreneurs.Your best bet actually will be from the states if they offer grant programs for women (or any other special interest groups -- minorities, women, disabled, veterans, etc). Or check with non profit organizations, particularly women organizations if they offer grants. Examples includeIowa Women s Foundation http://www.iawf.org/New Mexico Women s Foundation http://www.nmwf.org/guidelines.htmlEven SBA does NOT give out grants. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/mostrequesteditems/CO The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does offer some grant programs, these are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business management, technical, or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local governments. Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grants. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit venture.

Lets say you are opening your own business? -

Say you have to get 5 board members to approve your business? What are some worries they might have and what are some great rebuttals to make them feel secure in giving you a chance?

I don t need anyone s permission to conduct my business. Who are these meddlesome people?

if these people are your funders, they will be worried about how the money will be spent, how the money will be managed, and where your projections for profits are coming from! Security is going to come from your ability to convince them that you know what you are doing.

Clothing Line TradeMark? -

If I want to start a Clothing Line Should I Get it TradeMark? And if i should How would be a easy fast cheap way? Thank You All

a couple of things to consider Eric. This clothing line, does it have a name? Do you already know the demographics as to who will want to wear it? (boys, girls, men, women, children, middle aged, golfers, surfers.....? ) Trade marks, slogans and logo s mean a lot to a lot of people but to make it fit the demographic one has to have a few of the basics out of the way. The easy way is to have the name, slogan, design, logo all legal and admissible in court is have it stamped and notarized and put into an envelope and sealed by the U S Postal Service in one of their Registered Mail Envelopes and send it to yourself and never open it. Unopened only can you take it in to a judge in court and sue someone for stealing your idea infringement. (this gets you started so that you can go after your success and hire a lawyer to create your copy-write and see it through.

What is the best way (profitable) to sell designed t-shirts? -

I am very new at this. I have some designs and phrases in mind but I don t know how to sell them. I was thinking about having a website but I am worried that it will be too overwhelming for me as far as taking orders and sending them out on time. Does anyone have any ideas of where I can sell my shirts? By the way, some shirts have political content, some are for infants, some are religious based and the rest is general. I will appreciate all input. Thanks

OKay .. I am in the business so i can give you some good advice... the easiest way to sell the shirts is on ebay... that is your expenses are low and you will get your shirts out there... i suggest spending extra money on to highlight your listings it will make sure they get seen. before you start getting worried about keeping up with orders ... you have to get them first... trust me once you see orders coming in you will be able to do it.. you are going to need t-shirts, transfer paper and an iron to start... oh yah and a good printer... as far as shipping goes i do my shipping labels through paypal, that way i get delivery confirmations and all.. and print the labels from home... then i just drop all of my shipments off at the post office.. no waiting on long lines and stuff like that.. .if making shirts and shipping them is too much then you can use a company like cafepress.... they will list your designs on their site and then send them out when someone orders them.. you get paid but you do not get as much as u would if you did the work on your own. feel free to check out my web site which i use for promotion ..... http://www.stylehippo.com... most of my sales come from ebay, but it is good to have a site...

In accounting, how do you show a business credit card payment with a business checking account? -

I want to show a payment from business checking to my business credit card - should it be a transfer of funds?

Well whenever you made a purchase on the credit card you should debit the appropriate account for which the purchase was made, and credit accounts payable, which is a liability account as the money will need to be paid back to the credit card company. Even set up a an account called Accounts Payable - Credit Card to see exact what s going on the card. Then when you make the payment with a checking account, which is equivalent to cash, you would debit accounts payable - credit card, and credit your cash account. For example:You buy $100 worth of InventoryDr Inventory 100Cr Accounts payable - credit cardThen, you pay $50 for phone bill for last monthDr Utilities expense 50Cr Accounts payable - credit card 50Now it s the end of the month an you write and mail a cheque to your credit card company for the full amount owingCr Accounts payable - credit card 150Dr Cash 150That s it. In order to stay in compliance with GAAP or IFRS, unless the purchase is immaterial, you need to make sure every time you make a purchase on the card it is put into the right account, not just some account like Credit card purchases .

I was wondering how many flyers 1 person can hand out in a 8 hr day ? -

I think it really depends on what the neighborhood is like you are delivering to. If there are long driveways and lots of space between houses it would be longer. Just to give you an idea, I did 200 door hangers in about 2 hours in a neighborhood with short driveways. I think if I ever do that again I ll just hire a neighborhood kid to do it. I bet you could do about 1000 though if you push it.

I have been in management and marketing for over 15 years and there is a better way to market...now I learn after all these years. My buddy is teaching how to use the web to build or improve business online or off. He is giving away a FREE mp3 full of his stuff. What do yo mean???Going door to door, or car to car???Going door to car in an area of houses that are 5000 square foot probably 30 per hour. times 8 is 240 flyers

Seeking some extra income. Work at home preferred. Any suggestions? -

I ve been unemployed for some time now. And with the economy today, unless you know people that know people, it s hard to find work. I m really seeking a job working from home since I am a part time student. But most work-from-home websites are obvious scams or require unreasonable payments just to start. Please, if you know any reliable sources, it would really help a lot. Preferably something that pays at least 150/wk and doesn t cost to begin. Thanks!

Teen business ideas for 2 teens? -

Me and a friend(14 and 15) we want to put a little more money. We just need a business idea and how to get that idea started. DON T say lawn work, window washing, etc.

Well, be careful of work at home opportunities, they are almost always scams. I tried a lot of them when I was younger, and never found any that were not scams. That Mr. is probably trying to scam you.If you have a good local flea market, you could try buying stuff on Ebay or from small wholesalers, and reselling them at the local flea market. You can get collections of DVD s pretty cheap on Ebay for example. Sometimes for as little as $1 dollar per DVD. You could then try selling them for more, like maybe $5 per DVD. Books, Video Games and CD s are cheap on Ebay too. You could start by checking the local flea market and writing down prices you see, then try to find the same stuff cheaper on Ebay. There s always the risk of losing money when you buy and sell stuff though. If you re any good with computers, you could do a computer repair service, or help people set up their Ipods, tv and stuff like that. A clever teenager can solve most computer problems people have, you can usually find a solution to almost any computer problem by simply searching google. Buying a book on computer repair to learn the basics would help too. A book on A++ computer tech certification would teach you most the basics. PC techs charge as much as $70 an hour for easy stuff like virus removal and tune-ups. Some people would probably be willing to risk letting teens work on their computer if you charged less like maybe $15 an hour to start, then more later when you got better. Many adults don t know how to do anything on a computer, except email and browse the web. You could start by learning as much as you could in a few months, then advertising for the easier services, then doing more as you learn more. Sadly yard work, babysitting and window washing are probably the easiest ways to get money at your age. Also lots of results come up when you google business ideas for teens , such as dog walking, face painting, car washing, tutoring (if you re good at any particular subjects).

What are you good at? And what do you like doing?Edit: Those to questions are for you to answer, so that I/we can get some ideas.

How can a stay at home mom earn a little extra cash on a semi regular basis? -

Please don t say get a job I live in a really small town it s near impossible to find a job thanks in advance for suggestions.

I live in a small town so I know what you mean, Trish! There really are a lot of opportunities available once you start to look for them. Part of deciding what to do to earn extra cash depends on what you re interested in. For example if you like to write, providing SEO articles might be a possibility. If you enjoy crafts, maybe you can do something along those lines.A quick, easy way to make a few quick dollars might be to sell excess things you have around the house on eBay. Take a look on eBay to see how similar items are listed and what they re selling for. Then you can sell similar items. Once you get the hang of eBay, you can sell your own items (such as crafts you make) or items you pick up locally from yard sales and similar.Another approach would be to check out books on Amazon. Go to Amazon.com and search for books on part-time income opportunities or part-time businesses or spare time income . Amazon let s you search the table of contents and index of the books so you ll be able to find a whole list of extra cash generators (and probably many that you never thought of). If you find a book that looks particularly helpful, you can buy it or borrow it from your library. These are a few thoughts to get you started. I wish you good luck and would be happy to hear what you decide on.

Trish, if you like the web you should look around for some simple ideas. The great thing about the internet is that it doesn t matter how big or small your town is ;)I ve from 5 yrs of research that there are a lot of good solutions for anyone to stay at home and earn extra money, but the most important thing is finding something that you are passionate about. Otherwise you will lose interest and give up on what you re doing which will put you back at step 1. I found this interesting site that has a TON of ideas on it that you might want to check out, hope it helps.

Hey!Basically, there are 2 ways:1)BloggingBuild a blog, create a brand, sell advertisement space... it is fun, but it takes a bit of time. If you are not sure how to do this, I would start with the Blog Mastermind course by Yaro Starak. Here, i found some info about his course:http://making-money-blogging-mastermind.2)Affiliate marketingIf you don t want to blog, learn sell products (without spending a dime). If you are not sure what to do, I would go through the Stephen Pierce s course, because he is getting great feedback. Again, if you need some info first:http://make-money-working-at-home-mrmi.b

I know there are a lot of scams out there so be careful! Dont listen to the people though who say they are ALL scams. They are not actually ALL scams, just a lot of them are! LOL! In fact Yahoo Finance says that for every 1 legitimate home based opportunity there are 57 scams! At any rateI am actually a nurse and I love working outside the home but I know a lot of people want or need to work from home. About 2 years ago my sister finally found a legitimate company thats been in business for 20 years. I dont know too much about it but shes been doing it for 2 years now, about 20 hours a week and she makes about $40,000 a year. I know its legit because they have dozens of fortune 500 partners, they are members of the US Chamber of Commerce and of course, Ive seen her paychecks, LOL! She says she loves it! She gets to stay home with her kids which is pretty cool! Its not a job working for someone else but instead she sets her own schedule and she determines how much she makes. The more she puts into it, the more she gets out. I wish jobs were like that because I know I work way harder than some of the nurses here who are getting paid the same as I am! LOL I hope this helps you! Good Luck in your search!-Michelle

Things I look for in a business are free or low cost to join, free or low cost to run, some level of training and/or support, a website or information on how to create one, and a simple duplicatable business success system. The company and people should support and train you because when you make money they make money. I really like businesses that can be run part time, from home, and online.

I do some part time online work, its really boring and the only thing that convinced me it wasn t a scam was the fact that it didn t ask for any more information than an email, name and address. No credit/debit or bank account information needed.I m not going to tell you will make enough to live off of though some members do I make around 20-50 dollars a month. THis month I hope to have 30 by monday at midnight (the last day of the month is the cut off) and I will recieve a check around 12-23 or 12-27 (holidays slow down mail)I just put in 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on my homework housework and kids a night.Check it out give it a month and if you aren t satisfied then you can cancell your account with no problemsbit.ly/makemoremoney

My mom does daycare. Before that, she work at a dentist office.

I have an invention and i dont have money to patten it . what do i do? -

i know pattening something cost a lot and im young and broke. but i have a great invention that would make life just a little easier, is their a company that would do it for me if they liked it enough and i get some % of profit . THANKS PEOPLE!

Call the Invention Submission Corporation. They will help you patten your idea, but you have to share royalties with them.

you really have to access your invention/idea, if it s going make a profit when you patten it, and how serious you are about commercializing it. There are people who sponsor these kind of entrepreneurship, they are the Venture Capitalists. However, they will take a big chunk of your business, normally 50%. Sometimes the banks sponsor it too, but you need a solid business plan to convince them. Keeping the patten every year is very expensive, unless your invention can generate a constant stream of cash flow, please don t do it, it s a very risky business.

You have the answer....someone rich or a rich company will have to agree to finance the project. YOu ll have to convince them it will be worth their investment.

How much money do I need saved up to open up my own business (a clothing store)? -

thanks

Your Small Business Administration can help figure out your business plan and help you with calculating the costs.Lets start with the basics: inventory, utilities, fixtures and rent.Rent is the most important to consider. Figure $40/square foot for most places, $120/square foot for a mall location. You might want to call a few of those numbers on the For Lease signs to get a better ballpark for your part of the country. Triple net is something to beware of. The net is on-going maintenance and landscaping fees charged by the landlord. It is divided up by the tenants based on the % of total square footage each tenant rents.Utilities are pretty much set. Contact your utility companies and ask what the monthly bills were for the locations you are considering. Add about 10% to the numbers they tell you. Add in security services to your utilities section.Fixtures are the clothing racks, checkout counters, cash registers, etc, that you will want for your shop. You can find stores that sell these items and start pricing them in your area; look under business supplies and store fixtures/shelving in the yellow pages.Inventory is your area expertise, you should be able to estimate how much the inventory will cost. With those done, lets move to the advanced things: employees, insurance, professional fees and permits.Permits are your sales tax permits and tax exemption numbers. These are usually one time fees paid to your state.Professional fees are what you pay for the lawyer to help you set things up and your accountant to keep your books straight. Figure about $1000 for the first year for the set up and $400 annually for the book keeping.Insurance will vary by where you are and how much coverage you want. Call insurance brokers in your area for ballpark figures.Employees will cost you more than you think. Even at minimum wage, plan on $14 per hour for an employee to cover insurance and taxes you have to pay. My estimate might be high, but it is better to over estimate instead of falling short, plus it will help cover extra employees during the holiday seasons.

How easy is it to sell on eBay? -

In terms of demand...for example, if I want to sell baseball cards, will I have a hard time?

^^^ Step 3 on that wiki page is very important... Research your market .You have to look at the baseball card category (or whatever) and watch the auctions as they end. See how many end with no bids at all. See how many end with really low prices. Study the category carefully.Oh, and watch out for scammers. Good luck!

No it s not hard and it get s easier as start to sell things more often and build trust with the eBay community. You need to have a PayPal account probably. I ll just let this page go into detail for you.http://www.wikihow.com/Sell-on-eBay

HIYou should be open an account in any payment gateway. Then you can easily sell your product and if you want to buy some thing to online than you can use http://www.bid66.com.

What does a full thorough search cost with a patent clerk? I am assuming.. patent clerks are cheaper then attorney fees? I am trying to spend as little possible to have a professional fully..... search for the product? Also.........There are So... So... Many Similar Products that duplicate one another or come out after others have been out.. (Is there some type of stipulation about this .. or a clause.. for example: Shampoos.. There are many that are say.. Apple. Does changing by law .. one ingredient... or two.. (Rule?) .. make it patentable?Category

If you re in the UK, visit the IPO (Intellectual Property) site. They provide a lot of useful free help and advice on this. They also run free events around the country. We went to one in London and it was really useful.Good luck!

Full search at the US Patent Trademark office online is free.Is it more thorough? Depends on what search words you use.Similar products? Yes, you can make an IMPROVEMENT of an existing product and patent it.Yes you can file a patent without a prototype but it s more difficult to convince a manufacturer to license it without a prototype. You may want to file a Provisional Patent first (marks the date at USPTO and gives you 1 yr to see if it s marketable) and see if there is any interest with manufactures before filing the actual patent.Of course you can always manufacture yourself - then you ll need investors. That s another ball of wax altogether.

What are the financial benefits, if any, to hiring family to help get a new business off the ground? -

Enter more detail here (Optional)

I couldn t resist this question as it brings me back to my childhood, growing up as a part-time worker in a family business. While my parents must have thought about putting the kids to work as a financial matter, I don t think that was their main motivation. And I wonder whether it should be yours. Here s how it played out for me. I was just entering my teens when my parents bought their first motel, which was both a business and our home for about five years. Helping out in the business wasn t presented as an option; my parents didn t ask me whether I wanted to work. We all pitched in doing both the menial jobs like cleaning a room when a housekeeper didn t show up and those I thought were fun like checking in guests, designing brochures or even handling the payroll. My parents always paid me. And I got a pretty decent understanding of money at a young age. Still, I often resented the work or was embarrassed by it. I went to school with a lot of kids who didn t have to work, and as a teen wanting to fit in, my life looked pretty different from the lives of other kids with part-time jobs. Even when I resented it though, I knew it was valuable stuff. I even wrote my college entrance essay on living above a motel and working in a family business. When I look back at the experience, I see many benefits, not just the financial ones that probably flowed to my parents from having help on hand. That all said, there can be huge downsides to working with family. Which is why there are legions of consultants and psychologists who specialize in counseling members of family businesses run amok. I saw some of the challenges of working with one s children. But hiring or working with adult family members or even spouses, raises different kinds of tensions. If you re considering hiring a family member, I d think past the issue of whether it will benefit you financially and ask some other questions. Will you be able to communicate with a family member the same way you d need to communicate with an employee? Will the working relationship complicate the family one? Will you be able to provide the family member with opportunities to learn and build skills that could be useful elsewhere? Good luck.

In some businesses you can hire family cheaply or not pay them at all...for instance in a restaurant business they can work for tips or for nothing but at the end of the day they will have food to eat because you will be buying in bulk.

What is a good business to start with little investment? -

I really want the freedom of owning my own business but I don t have much start up money. I m an electrician but to start my own company is alot of money and alot of risk. If I had the money I d give it a shot but I won t take out a loan. So I m thinking of a smaller investment business to come up with money for my electric business.I tried ebay. I couldn t compete with other peoples low prices

Stick with what you know. Being an electrician is a valuable skill. Maybe you can work with local contractors, being a sub on their projects. Since you may be competing with other electricians that may bring your own materials, maybe you can offer a discounted labor rate if the contractor provides the materials for you.Another thing - you should really reconsider your thoughts about borrowing money. Most businesses have had to borrow money to start or to expand at one time or another. While I can understand the desire to be debt-free. sometimes it s really necessary to borrow money in order to make things happen.

I am a teen and I need to earn some money but I do not have time for a part time Job. So what do I do? -

I am a teen and I need to earn some money but I do not have time for a part time Job. So what do I do?

You may not have time during the week, but maybe you could find a weekend only job? For example, during high school, my brother worked Saturday and Sunday mornings at a bakery, which was great for him because it didn t interfere with his sports, and the bakery was happy to have him on the busy weekends without him trying to get shifts at other times.

If you don t have time to earn money try cutting out some of the activities that cause you to spend money this way you will free up some time to get a job

wash carsbuy a lawn mower and mow lawns for people rake up peoples leaves wrap crimbo presents for old people lol just use your imagination

mow grass rake leaves. go to peoples front door and ask if they need any work done.

I sold an item on eBay, I specifically said no returns, I got a strike and he sent it back? -

I no longer have the money. not even in my bank account. Now what? I m just going to close my account ey?

There is no no return policy on eBay. If they say an item is significantly not as described they can always return it, and you can t stop them unless you prove they re lying. They just don t take it back instantly though. they usually go through paypal who lets you know it s coming. Once it arrives, you can look it over and contact paypal if it arrived damaged. (It sounds like you didn t respond to paypal emails. (Your spam filter might have caught them.)I ve been buying on selling on eBay for many years, and have been on both sides of Paypal s system. My best advice is don t sell trash , but there are some people who complain and want $ back even if it s perfect. good for buyers, not sellers.

What is the legal procedure to settle unpaid invoice? -

I have supplied item(s) to one of my customer and he is not paying the bill and i would like to know what are all the details should I have to take legal action against the customer? And what is the procedure for taking legal action against the customer?

It starts with sending a legal notice to this customer (through your lawyer) and asking him to reply within 1 week. In case of non-reply, your next step is to approach the consumer court.

HOW DO I MAKE EXTRA MONEY? -

How do i make extra money online? I do have a website but i don t know what to do with it. Could anyone help? Any great ideas? I do need the extra money we have 6 kids and we need food and i hate asking. i do work alot but i want to try the online thing..

You should pass out magnet business cards in your area. You can purchase the roll of magnets at Staples ,then apply them to your business cards so that you can produce a lot more. The magnet doesn t have to be a large piece, just enough to hold your business card in-place for your customers. That s # 1. First test-try this with 500 business cards and see how it works. Just place them at door steps in your area that you feel you have potential buyers. Always be upfront with your prices because that s important, and know the top 3 things that separate your business from the rest. Magnets business cards are important because if you only passed-out a paper flier with in a few days your potential customer might lose it with all the junk mail they receive, also, your hard work of walking and placing them at door steps wouldn t be as effective.

you have a website? are you selling anything with it? is it an issue of promotion, getting your site in front of the right people. its hard to make any significant money without first understanding your audience, the people your website would of interest to, and how to get it in front of their eyeballs. learn squidoo and try to promote your website that way. you can get some good free info about how to start and where to start here.http://009c5sr8nhf75k69uh-8iemen7.hop.clShe is a real person who made it. A legitimate way to make extra money is by filling out online surveys. There are many scams out there, but I have tested out multiple sites and know which ones pay. My favorite site is Opinion Outpost. I have received many checks from them and make about $15 per month. Here is the link if you want to try it: http://www.OpinionOutpost.com/join/7345370NOTE: You may not be able to join Opinion Outpost if you do not use the above link. Two other sites who I have received money from are GlobalTestMarket and Valued Opinions.

Hi,You can make good money selling products and services as an affiliate, you can get up to 75% of each sale you make and its fast and easy money, if you can get targeted traffic! You could also create and then sell your own, product or service on the internet. Figure out what your interests are and you can make money from them. (this is easier said than done, I know) but you can do it if you really want. This is the KEY no matter what you are selling online:1 ... Your target market (who are you selling to and what do they want?)2 ... Your targeted offer (what can you sell that will solve a problem?)3 ... Now simply generate as much targeted traffic as you can to your offer! If you get these 3 things right you cannot go too far wrong... Best of luck!

This is the best way I ve personally found to make easy money at home! When I came across this totally by accident I could hardly believe it myself. But it is true and nothing to lose. Making easy money online is even easier with this idea. While all my talk here may sound like all that hype I ve read too online about making fast cash and all that , this is not the case here. This is not hype but reality that you too can prove for yourself. No money is needed to make this work and you do make money.Making easy money online and working from home can include this idea. This whole idea is simply getting free webspace for yourself that most of us would appreciate anyway and then getting others to sign up to get their own. Simple. To make this easy money at home go to the website: http://www.000webhost.com/198756.htmlYou will need to copy and paste that link into your web browser if you are unable to click it or click it in the resource link below. Simply sign up when directed to that website. The website name is 000webhost. These guys are great. I host all my own info sites there and utilize the free service regularly for my personal data. When signed up at the site make sure to sign up to be an affiliate partner. This will give you a link to pass out to your friends and family and give you the potential to make $100.00 for every twenty people you get to sign up. No catches at all! really!Resources:http://www.000webhost.com/198756.htmlsincerely,http://www.bloggerdaddy.ca

Help starting a business? -

I want to start a business. But i have little money. What type of business can i start with little to no money that can become successful?

It would have to be something that is labor intensive like auto detailing.

Nate, you first need to identify what skills you have. What are you passioate about? What are your hobbies? Are there any needs/opportunites that you can identify in your neighborhood? Within a lot of starting capital to go buy an existing business/franchise, you may want to do some local research and analysis of things closer to you. Talk to friends and family and see what is missing. Good luck.

Nathan, First off, let me congratulate you on wanting to purse the adventure of operating a business. This is a field that I promise you will be well worth the wait, time and investment. During this stage, you will have the opportunity to make as much as money as you would like, be your own boss, and several other perks. Prior to joining this task, I want to make you aware that this is a task that takes a lot of time and persistence. So you should be sure to invest your time and money in something that you are very passionate. Now to answer your question on starting a business with little money, the number one suggestion I want to give to you is to become an affiliate for a company. If you dont know what an affiliate is, this is a word that can be defined as someone that sells products for other people. The owner than pays you any where from 25-75 percent commission. You on the other hand, are responsible for all the advertisement and getting the customers to buy the given products. If you can master this concept then you can master the concepts of operating your own business because you will know everything that it takes to make a person buy a product. I hope that you have found this information very helpful and if you need further assistance on how to become an affiliate I would be more than happy to help you out. Check me out at http://twitter.com/drummer7692008

Online business can do this for you. The start up cost is very low. What you need only a computer and internet connection. Check the website in the source box for some of the online products you can do at home.

How can I start a big business like PetSmart? -

How can I go about doing this?

Create a really strong small business. Once you get something you know people like, start expanding.Once you get to that point you would either look for investors, or look to franchise your business. Franchising let s other people open up a version of your company, and they pay you royalties for using the name. Investing keeps ownership to your company (an the investors).

Get some capital together and open a Spanish-language oriented small business in your city s Latino district. Don t invest in your building or other capital expenses. Don t even bother re-carpeting! Save every penny, and use accrued profits to expand your business. This will make your business recession proof, because your debt-to-profit ratio is zero.Over 50-60 years, and several major recessions, smile as your company is the only one left standing.

UPS Arrival Question? -

I ordered something from Logitech, and it is being tracked online. However they packages are both in Phoenix. (I m so close to Phoenix it s not even funny). The one pound box says it departed today at 1:21 AM. And it expected to be here Today (14th). However the 16 Pound box says it ll be here tomorrow. Why is this? Or will they both be coming today? Thanks, 10 points for clear answer.

Small boxes move through the system at a faster rate at UPS because their goal is to get the most deliveries done per day. Their system makes some guesses on the size of the box based on weight. and usually estimate larger boxes will take longer because they fill up the trucks faster. But humans do get involved and those humans realize that they can deliver more boxes per day if they stop one today at house A than once today and once tomorrow. If this wasn t the Christmas season I would say that there is about a 95% chance that both would show today. Because it is the Christmas season the chances are still pretty good but reduced because there are so many more packages to go through.

Is it really hard to make money selling scentsy? -

I know consultants are not suppoesed to say real numbers but I need to know if it is worth all the work to sell scentsy. I am in a rural area and by the time I drive to people s houses for parties and stuff and buy more business materials, will I be out of money for that month? I m not sure I ll make more than $75-100 per month and that won t put much of a dent in our monthly expenses. I just want some direct answers. Thanks so much in advance.

Selling anything is rough especially if your in rural area !plus thats only a one time sale in most instances !GETTING repeat customers over and over again is YOUR toughest achievement i would venture into another form of home business thats provides a residual income that requires very little work on your part

I have been selling Scentsy for about 9 months now and I love it. To be honest, I rarely do any home parties. Most of my sales are simply by word of mouth. With Scentsy, you will get 20% commission from you sales. Once you sell a thousand dollars you will move up to 25% commission. It is really not that hard to sell Scentsy. It really does basically sell itself. As your team grows, your earnings will grow as well. It is a great job for extra money, but to think of it as a full time income in the beginning would be unrealistic. The kit that you get when you sign up will have everything you need to get started. So, you would not need to buy anything extra in the beginning. There are alot of great promotional products that you can buy, but they are not necessary. My advise to anyone that is just starting with Scentsy is to have a big Open House in your home and invite EVERYONE that you know. Hopefully, you can get several bookings off of your own open house. Also, get friends and family to host parties for you. Scentsy is a great product and once people see it for themselves they will usually come back for more. Good luck with your decision. I hope this helped you some.

Being in a rural area brings about different challenges, but it s definitely not impossible. I have one consultant on my team who lives in a rural area, but makes it work to her advantage. She s the only consultant close to her area, so many people seek her out when they need more product. Not all of your work has to be with home parties. I do a lot of basket parties, where I hand off the basket of scents and the hostess is on her way. A week later, she brings it back and I calculate the order and send it in. For the time and effort put into it, it s worth it. I also get a lot of online sales that don t require a party at all.I don t share income publicly, but I have done so via email. Sharing this information can be misleading since everyone runs their business differently. But I m happy to share if it would make your decision easier.I wish you the best of luck with your decision and commend you for all your research. It sounds like you like the company and the product and that s the best first step.Lisa

my wife sells Scentsy and loves it. Being in a rural area might be hard at first until people know that you are selling it, then they will be coming to you or ordering off your Scentsy web site. On nice thing about it is no one else is selling it around you so you will not have other Scentsy people trying to sell to your customers. Another thing that will help you a lot is to sign up under a good consultant that will help you out anytime you need, weather its for questions about your account or ordering or maybe just needing some scents or warmers found for your customers that you cant get. My wife has a large inventory of warmers and scents, and she loves to help out her team in anyway she can. we ship things to her other team members all the time that live on the other side of the US, and NO we don t charge them shipping for it. if you would like to know more about it or talk about how much money you can make, my wife would love to talk to you about it and answer any question you may have. please email me and i will give you her web site, email address and phone number. good luck with what ever you decide to do.

Need help with a start-up business loan for my BEE partner? -

I want to start a car wash business at a extremely busy crossing, but aren t working at the moment and doesn t have the necessary funds to do it. If i have someone who will apply for a loan of let say R30 000 and make him a shareholder of the business and back him with, a home, an office for the business and some equipment to help out, what can i do to accomplish this task? When starting this business, this person will have a BEE shareholding of 26%. I have no idea what to do or where to start, but have all the knowledge to run this business fluently. Please help?

First, is there a building you can use? If you have to build it then forget it that is a HUGE cost. I could still balance out seeing that winter is coming soon (if you live in the northern hemisphere) But still 30,000 is still a small loan compared to what you need capital wise. If the building is near a gas station that is a big plus, because people cash wash their car and fill up. Do your research on the equipment you need to do so and if the equipment will fit in the building and if the landlord would want that to go into the building. Go to other car washes and get some ideas and how you can do better. Try looking at sba.gov to try and get some loans from them too. Banks like it when people are backed up by the SBA, but you need your business plan. Don t forget.

I think you idea is ridiculous, as it has been done before a million times over and no good success comes from a fabricated business idea that a mobile car wash at a servo could do better. If you are business minded come up with a relatively good idea draw a business plan which has never been done and get sponsorship through a government body as a small business and take a low risk investment loan, once you have done the basics of your research, like business analysis, market research do the impossible and outreach for your horizons, be the best business man you can be....Best of luck to amateur..

What is a good name for my small auto business? -

i need a name for my business im about to launch i fix appearances of cars like dings healights interior rips and so on, i live in texas if that gives you any ideas please think of something good and dont give me somthing already taken thanks.

How about running a competition in your area through your local newspapers, or with local secondary schools/colleges etc to get all the locals to come up with a name. That way you get free PR in the local newspapers, school/college newsletters etc both announcing the competition in the first place and then announcing the winner, perhaps with a photo of you handing the competition winner their prize (which doesn t have to be expensive - how about an MP3 player for a tenner?) and if you get photographed with the winning name/logo being held up too then it gets it in front of people right from the start. then once they start to see your business up and running they will already be familiar with the logo/name etc and your business will have instant credibility. This is just an idea - adapt it at will!

If this health care plan passes how is the small business going to stay in business? -

The new government health care is going to require every employer to provide health coverage for every employee, even if they are part time. What does this mean for the employer? I don t see how small business can afford it. Looks like they will have to go out of business and people are going to lose there jobs too

This health care is the dumbest thing our social government has come up with yet and they claimit will cost them a couple of billion - it s a bunch of government hype as these birds can t evenmanage the welfare system they put into effect years ago so be prepared for a mess.Business s are overburden with social security and medicare contributions for their payrolls nownot to mention in most states unemployment payments and taxes on top of that. The bottom line is shrinking every year and the government has never once address thatissue or tried to help business shoulder this burden - just keep piling on more for thebusiness man to pay and the socialist government sits back a takes credit for reallydoing something - I don t think we have anyone in Washington that has any sanity about them - business isnot for profit anymore. A recession, NO we are headed directly for a total depression caused only by sticky fingers Sam (aka Uncle Sam) We long for the old days whenthe government kept their nose outta business - China moves up in the world and wemove backwards - who is running this country ? NOBODY except greedy congress whois so outta touch with reality and the people. It is getting to the point it makes one ashamed.

Very simply, they will not stay in business. Small business will cease to exist, with only major corporations, such as Wal-Mart surviving. In addition to this teh taxes on small businesses is increasing, to the point where the people who work the hardest will end up with the least. This will bring a major change to our country, but the voters wanted change, even if that change meant giving up our values and embracing socialism, something our ancestors fought against.

Hi how do i report a buyer on ebay? -

I listed an item and someone bought it, they then said that could i send it for his sons birthday and he would pay me extra when he went to the bank on Monday. It has been over a week and still no payment. On his feedback around 11 other sellers have had exactly the same problem.please help me to get this fraudster off Ebay :)thanks

Ebay provides a tool called Resolution Center, you can use this to log a case for unpaid item (wait a week from auction completion time). You can also leave a negative feedback if the case is not resolved from the buyers side on time. Sellers will see his feedback, and ebay can bar him/her from future biding if he has 2 or more negative in last 30 days. Also call ebay customer service and they can suggest you more options.

Im thinking of cleaning my fat slob husbands ears. Is there money to be made in the homemade candle business? -

You d make more money rendering him and turning him into soap.

Twist his greasy hair up into a wick, and light the fecker up. That ll be some Candle! Post results on YouTube as Spontaneous Human Combution. (Ok, I know the Human part of the equation will be difficult to prove, but it is You tube)

If the candles are scented, I ll buy one. What do they smell like? Oh, and you people can make money online by SHUT THE F**K UP! (Not you, Scuzzy. You re fine. You can talk.)Edit: Now that Yahoo has deleted the three make money online posts, my little outburst seems unwarranted.

Hire somone to clean out his ears. Then come with me and Briar Rose to go scam frat boys at the mall.

There s huge business in the cheese and cracker industry, how are his toe nails?

If you can collect enough wax, maybe you could suggest a new art piece to Madame Tussauds. The Fat Slob Husband .

About trademark/copyright names? -

i want to start a clothing line in the near future and i wanted to call it controversy apparel, i have searched and have noticed there is a clothing line type business called controversy sells, can i legally still use controversy apparel?

Determining if marks infringe can be tricky and each situation varies from another. The general rules to keep in mind are:1) Are the names similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning?2) Are the industries the same or similar to one another?3) Are the names confusingly similar to the average consumer? In other words, could customers be confused and assume that both companies are affiliated?4) Do the trade areas cross? What about the advertising routes -- are the products/services advertised in common places? Here s what the USPTO has to say about this matter: The principal factors considered by the examining attorney in determining whether there would be a likelihood of confusion are:the similarity of the marks; and the commercial relationship between the goods and/or services listed in the application. To find a conflict, the marks do not have to be identical, and the goods and/or services do not have to be the same. It may be enough that the marks are similar and the goods and/or services related. It s best to contact a private search company or a trademark attorney to assist you in determining if this will be a problem or not.Hope that helps! I wish you much success happiness in all your ventures!

Is it possible to start a restaurant with no experience? -

I have what I think is a great idea -- a restaurant that specializes in salads to cater to the lunch crowd. I d love to open a restaurant, but I have no experience outside of a fast food job I got fired from. Is it possible to start a successful restaurant with no experience, or is this just a pipe dream?

It s possible to do anything, if you invest your time in it. To understand some of the permits and licenses you ll need alongside with federal requirements, check out the link provided. Since each state is different, it would be best to contact your state to see what you ll need to clear your business for launch. The next part is to get your business started, which costs money. If you think about it, you ll have to buy or rent the building your business will operate out of, provide all of the things needed in a salad bar (tables, seats, chillers, etc...), along with paying taxes, employee salary, and purchasing the food from some sort of vendor. It s a long laundry list of stuff, but you can see that to make money, you must first spend that money. How you go about getting that money to start up is usually done in two ways; either through an Investor(s) or through a loan. An investor is someone that is going to invest money in you to get your business set up and running. This can be a family member, friend, or even a private investor. The other way is through a loan, which you ll be responsible for paying back over time, just like college loans or credit cards. If you happen to get the money to start up your business, and you ve cleared everything with the state and the government, you re pretty much set. Again, you ll need to purchase or rent available space to have a building to operate out of and purchase all of the things to put into this building which will be your salad bar. You ll obviously need to hire employees and create a staff to operate and maintain your business. Also, you ll probably want to have somebody to cover you legally and someone to help you keep up on your taxes, finances, spending, earnings, etc...Most small businesses fail within the first year. I don t say this to scare you but more to encourage and enlighten you. Don t be afraid to try something, even if others don t understand it.Starting up a small business can be fun but you also should do some research to find out more about the industry you re getting into. You don t have to have experience to do any of this, but it generally might help if you had some unique and interesting ideas, especially when you re proposing your business idea to a potential investor. This isn t everything of course, there are plenty of other things that didn t get covered here. I would suggest you do more research on it yourself, so you learn at your own pace. I hope this helped, remember to check out the link below.Remember, if you really put the time and effort into this, it s possible. Best of luck.

Yes, it is possible to start a successful restaurant with little to no experience. You probably have a good bit of experience in what NOT to do based on your fast food experience. The key is to make up for your missing experience in research and planning. With this type of restaurant, you will definitely need to hire a staff, so you should plan to hire as your kitchen manager or chef someone with experience in a similar type of restaurant (such as Sweet Tomatoes or Souper Salad). Contact your county extension service -- in many areas they provide food service training. Another great ressource is Business Startup and Growth Magazine (see below).

Everyone needs to start somewhere ok. But I would suggest to get a job in a restaurant or anything something like that to gain some inside knowledge about the bussiness. You really need to read and research a lot to to familiarize yourself with the ins and out and other tricky things that go along in having that kind of bussiness. Never never embarked yourself in a bussiness without doing all this things.

Possible but a really really really bad idea unless you know what you re doing.

How do you start a recruitment agency in the USA? -

As an American, I would suggest that If you know the local markets in the US that you re trying to recruit for, it should be fairly easy. By knowing the local markets I mean you should know what different job roles are called in the US, what the responsibilities and also what the going rate is for each role. (My experience is that there are subtle differences between the US and the UK markets.)But assuming you are comfortable with business in the US, then by all means, do have a go.Recruiting is done by Internet these days, so set up your website and databases just like your current favourite UK-based recruiting agencies, making sure you re on the proper search engines and can thus be found .Register your client companies first by selling them on how good you have been at recruiting in the past. Send letters or notices to your target client companies and their heads of recruitment and heads of HR to tell them that your website is open. Then open up your website for use, ensuring that you ve got a good reason to pull job seekers. (Tell them what great client companies you represent.)Most recruiting websites charge client companies to place their ads and sometimes also charge job seekers. It s up to you how you set up your business model as to what you think is fair and who should be paying what. That should be it! You will want to speak to you favourite internationally-seasoned tax advisors to be sure you set yourself up properly to do business across two countries/continents. That aspect won t be difficult as long as you don t spend much time in the US. Let me know if you need a recommendation for tax advisors like that as I know several who won t charge an arm and a leg.Good luck!

That would depend on whether your city/state has a specific license for cosmetology (makeup, nail, hair, that sort of thing). Ask your local city government, business license division.

How can I make some money quick? -

Ok my mom gave me 70$ to go buy some shoes so I took my wallet with me so I could go get some after school. While I was there my wallet was stolen. So I need to make that money back before my parents find out so they won t be pissed. This is the 2nd time.

IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN SELL MY CLEANING SERVICE? -

Hi all - i started up a cleaning service about 6-7 months ago. (office cleaning) i ve been w/ one of my accounts about 6 months , and recently just got another account. between both accounts it nets me $2000 a month. i work a full time job and clean at night ( everynight). i was just wondering if anyone knows if it s possible to perhaps sell this business ? if so does anyone know how to go about it? can it be sold to a bigger company or something?

Not bad! The problem is... the accounts signed with YOU. They know you will perform, NOT the company. Also, unless you actually formed a corporation, it s VERY hard to sell a sole proprietorship. You may want to consult a commercial law attorney for this, as selling a business can get quite complicated.

You can probably sell the client list to a larger company, based on what the accounts bring in per year. It would be helpful if you have contracts with these clients, more to sweeten the deal than anything. The business itself, if it s registered, can just be de-registered on your own time later on.

post it on the internet..maybe moster jobs or craigs list

I just opened a day care in my home and am having a hard time getting customers.? -

I have a web-site. have advertising in newspapers and tried to put up flyers which no one will allow and are rude about it. does anyone have suggestions please.

if you are lazy, you aren t going to help yourself very much, the answer is the same as it was a couple of days ago. get dressed, put on some make-up look neat, smart, clean and well rested and go to all the commercial and industrial companies within a couple of miles of your business location and ask to put your card up in the employee lounge. You need to go door to door in the evenings when parents get home from work and knock on their door to tell them you are right around the corner and they can save gas by dropping off and picking up with you. You need to go to and join clubs, associations and service groups and pass more than the word around. Put cards on windshields of vehicles you can see a child s safety seat in. Every place where a mom can work is where you need to introduce your self and you should be able to go to 30 places in the two hours around lunch.

Have you tried putting the flyers up in supermarkets that have bulletin boards. I know some major ones such as Jewel/Osco have them. Or if you have any kids in school maybe talking to the school to see if your flyers can be distributed in every classroom. Usually word of mouth is your best option. Church bulletins or flyers are good too. I hope this might help you.. Good Luck!!

I would not put up flyers,it makes you look cheesy.Remember people have to trust you with their kids.Believe it or not, there is a ton of people that still use the yellow pages, getting your name in there cost some money, but it pays off.Once you get established ( if you are good at what you do) word of mouth will take over,GL

some libraries and grocery stores have bulletin boards you can put small ads on - there just might not be that many people looking for child care right now - they either already have it or they are out of work and staying home with the kids

You can make up business cards and hand them out. Put flyers on telephone poles.

Ebay sellersquot; Why is eBay making us sign in twice in a row each time before we can check our sales? -

I presume everyone else is having to do this, too. I m finding it very frustrating because it already takes several minutes from the time I click on the eBay icon until the time I am prompted to sign in (I have dial up)--but having to do it twice in a row adds still more time to the process and I don t understand the purpose of them having us do it.

EBay checks whether you are logging in from the same computer as before as a security measure. I once had to call the to get things worked out when I got a new PC. Possibly, their system isn t reading your computer properly. You might want to get in touch with them about it. I had to have them set up an automatic call to my phone to verify me.
