Any legit homework jobs out there without costly start up fees? -

Single mom of 3, looking for legit home based work. Been scammed so many times.

I know there are a lot of scams out there so be careful! Dont listen to the people though who say they are ALL scams. They are not actually ALL scams, just a lot of them are! LOL! In fact Yahoo Finance says that for every 1 legitimate home based opportunity there are 57 scams! At any rateI am actually a nurse and I love working outside the home but I know a lot of people want or need to work from home. About 2 years ago my sister finally found a legitimate company thats been in business for 20 years. I dont know too much about it but shes been doing it for 2 years now, about 20 hours a week and she makes about $40,000 a year. I know its legit because they have dozens of fortune 500 partners, they are members of the US Chamber of Commerce and of course, Ive seen her paychecks, LOL! She says she loves it! She gets to stay home with her kids which is pretty cool! Its not a job working for someone else but instead she sets her own schedule and she determines how much she makes. The more she puts into it, the more she gets out. I wish jobs were like that because I know I work way harder than some of the nurses here who are getting paid the same as I am! LOL P.S. I found a list of top 10 work at home scams to help you avoid them:10. Craft Assembly 9. Medical Billing 8. Email/Rebate Processing 7. A List of Companies Looking for Home workers! 6. Just pay for and take this class first Then well give or find you a job! 5. Envelope Stuffing 4. Turn Your Computer Into a Money-Making Machine! 3. Pyramid Schemes (this is NOT the same as Multi-Level Marketing MLM)2. Chain Letters/Emails ( Make Money Fast ) 1. Typing At Home / Data Entry (HUGE SCAM)I hope this helps you! Good Luck in your search!-Michelle

tinyurl.com/makethatcashThere are no start up fees or monthly membership fees, its easy work, a bit boring, and you don t have to use a credit/debit card or bank account information to receive payment.I have no account or cards and still get a check in the mail.I m a single mom myself of 2 and I know every little bit counts. Check it out give it month, flexible hours and the amount you earn is up to you.

Things I look for in a business are free or low cost to join, free or low cost to run, some level of training and/or support, a website or information on how to create one, and a simple duplicatable business success system. The company and people should support and train you because when you make money they make money. I really like businesses that can be run part time, from home, and online.

You can try something like www.alpineaccess.com There is no startup fee, but if you get hired you will have to pay for a background check and may have to get another phone line and some phone equipment. There are also places like www.kgb.com and www.chacha.com but they don t pay very well at all.Best bet is to work at home is to find a legit home based business with low startup cost.

Hi Angel,If you re serious about starting your own home business, you will need this free video, home business crash course . Do NOT spend anymore money until you get this free course. We invite you to ask us any questions,Jerry and Sharon

Does anyone have any tips for me in my lawncare business? And also any tips on getting new clients? -

Yeah, so any tips just get on new clients. I guess that s simply the way it is

Do you have a web site? Are you on Craigs list. Leave flyer with an actual estimate. Do you do cutting or chemicals? You didn t say. If you do cutting look for good lawns with overly high grass. If you do chemicals look for bad lawns with a lot of good lawns around for leaving flyers.

pass out flyers for get your lawn cut once get the next one free or half off or refer 5 people get a free lawn cut

How to get a web page for my small business? -

I want to publish my small business in the web. It should be able to get orders of my products and get online payments (credit cards, paypal, etc). I know there are companies that do this but I guess they are expensive. Can I do it myself? If not, do you know a low cost web design company?

Congrats and good luck first of all mateYou can definitely do it yourself and pretty cheaply. Credit card transations is a bit more on the complicated side, PayPal is much easier, at least in the beginning. 1) get a domain . I recommend godaddy.com2) get a hosting account. I can recommend webhostingbuzz: http://tinyurl.com/yb4xz4eI ve used a handful of webhosting companies and to be honest their support was the first that seemed to really be on top of things. Whichever hosting company you choose, I say go to the live chat at odd hours and ask presales questions and see what you think of the company. That is why I would pick webhostingbuzz (even over hostgator)3) Get a paypal account. You will see a Merchant Services tab and you can generate your own link and button and PayPal will give you the HTML to use4) If you know HTML, you can design it on your own. Otherwise you can use wordpress to get yourself going quickly (and then use html and graphics skills to really spice up the site). Wordpress is limiting if you want a lot of interaction with the user but it s good for general layout ideas. There are actually some great HTML resources out there too. My personal favorite is Web Design Mastery because when I first bought it I was expecting to open up the book and learn HTML right away and instead the entire first book had NO HTML in it - all she talked about was what makes effective web design for marketing and usability - that was new to me and I really liked that approachhttp://designmyownwebsite.net/go/web-desgood luck!

You can do it yourself if you learn how to do it. There are several books on the subject of web page design. Consult your public library to see what they have. If you find a book that is really helpful, you might want to buy a copy of it. There are several people and companies out there that create/maintain web pages, if you want to spend the money to have it done professionally. Accepting credit cards and Pay-pal need to be set up with those institutions. They may even provide the software you need to process the orders. Talk to your bank or the Small Business Administration for pointers.

You can set up a website at moogo.com. They offer free website creating and then you can decide if you want to pay them to have additional services (such as an online store). It is completely free for you to set up a website with them. It is actually really simple too. I had never done it before, but was able to create a website on my own. Then, you can set up a merchant account with PayPal and that will allow you to accept money through your online store via PayPal. They do charge a monthly fee for that service though.

You can sign up with hostgator or any other hosting place, they offer ecommerce templates for free, then all you have to do is add your own products, prices and settings. Very easy to do and cheap. Check out http://www.hosting4beginners.com good place to start.

http://www.goebelmedia.comLow cost great service!

Check out the freebie DIY ecommerce website builder - www.viviti.com which comes with shopping cart and PayPal options. Of for a paid website: www.homestead.com.Good luck!

What should I do,in my mini-company I am doing all the work and they are doing nothing? -

I m in 4th year(age 16) and everyone has to have a mini company. Myn is producing customised t-shirts with images printed on them.there is 5 people in my group.Sarah,Lauren,Fiona and amy.I myself spent 7 hours after school doing mini-company work alone. I couldn t do any of my homework or anything. Amy and I together and done hours after school while the others have to leave early to hang out with friends. Fiona has done NOTHING what so ever. NOT ONE THING. Market day is next friday and I am in a panicky. We have to produce t-shirts and everything and so much has to be done. I gave sarah one job to do today and she got it WRONG and I told her 5 times what to do FiVE TIMES and she got it WRONG . I mean what the hell? I give up I really do.Fiona is new to my school but she has friends here already and im not really friends with her so i am not really comfortable confronting her.

There is a reason why schools run this sort of activity. There is some learning at the back of it. If your colleagues aren t contributing, who is doing the learning? You are, in fact, quite lucky in that you are learning lessons about people at a very young age, lessons that can be very helpful when you move into earning a living. Yes, it is frustrating when people don t back you but it is in how you deal with it that the learning is done. The stick approach is making the threats that you will report their attitude to your teacher. Not knowing the individuals involved I am not in a position to say if this is the correct thing to do. The carrot approach will be in finding some incentive that will make them want to participate. Again, I don t feel able to advise you. I would suggest making a list of pros and cons for each action to help you decide what to do. Whatever you decide to do, keep a record showing how you came to that decision and also keep records of every event in your company, particularly financial records.Good Luck, I hope everything works out for you.

If this is for grades, I d tell your teacher. EDIT: Even if this is for PROFIT, I d STILL tell your teacher that your classmates are NOT pulling their weight and request that you be allowed to run it by yourself. ---Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II daysKEEP OUT! Trespassers will be violated!

First: I would keep the work I ve done to myself. Second: I would go to the teacher an tell her your concern and see what she/he would suggest so that your work is not affected by the others negligence. Third: Based on what your teacher suggested I would act upon it.

If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. This is sadly true. I am in college and no one really cares if it is done right but you. Keep up the hard work and definitely confront the teacher about it.

What kind of business should i make? -

I have to make up a business for my careers class. i m not sure what i should do. Any ideas? im a freshman.

Keep it simple. Sell a simple service that doesn t require a lot of overhead and where your employees can be independent contractors. When I was your age I started an entertainment booking business. I signed up clowns, magicians, etc. and booked them for parties. You run ads in local classifieds and make sure you distribute cards at any events they do. Also volunteer for any street fairs or other local events to raise awareness for your business. You charge a deposit, say $75 for a 1 hour show and then the talent accepts the balance of $75 when they arrive. You keep the deposit and the talent keeps the last $75. Clean and simple.

What system do you use to keep track of your business contacts? -

I would like a program where I can easily send clients e-mails, letters, form letters, take notes, keep history and other basic business requirements.

Mozilla Thunderbird provides the email and address book functionality. You can download Mozilla Thunderbird 2 free of charge from here:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/doMozilla Lightning extension to Thunderbird has calendar and task management features. By installing this extension, you will have a full fledged Personal Information Manager (PIM). Lightning version 0.9 works with Thunderbird version 2 (it doesn t work with the new Thunderbird version 3).Once you have installed Thunderbird 2 successfully and configured it to work with your email server, you can download the Mozilla Lightning 0.9 add-on free of charge from here:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderBoth these products are from Mozilla, the same company that provides the popular Firefox web browser.

What book is a must to read in helping you achieve sucess as a small business owner? -

Enter more detail here (Optional)

Erm, I have Jim Crow the spammer following me it seems :)Anyway, maybe getting accustomed to your ACCOUNTING books is a good way to start. From my experience I d also say that if you have one or two employees working for you, don t be their buddy or they won t respect you.Be fair but firm and lead by example: when they get there you must be there already.

Hi William;Perhaps the best book I have read was The E-Myth by Michael Gerber. In a very clear and friendly style he gives you a manual on organizing your small business in Professional manner. The effect is to mirror a franchised business by developing procedures for every part of the business that will when followed by all the firms employees create a customer experience that is consistent every time. He would like to have you take one or more courses that will lead you toward this goal however, the web site and books he has written are very generous in helping you do this on your own. Check out his web site for a regular newsletter (free) that is also helpful.I can assure you will find his books very supportive and quite helpfulFred Norman

Whats the deal with purchasing beauty products on Ebay.? -

It s been going on for quite some time now. I can see the listings but when I click on them, this message turns up stating that due to a decision by French courts certain products cannot be sold on Ebay- this includes perfumes, facial creams, hand gels, anything imaginable. I ve looked them up in amazon and they are normally sold there, so can somebody enlighten me?Thank you for your time.

eBay have been sued for allowing sales of French branded cosmetics on their site:http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y09/As I understand it, it s only supposed to stop French members from buying or selling authentic LVMH perfume products on any eBay site in the world but eBay being what it is, there are also problems for users other than the French (such as yourself).

Just go to a store! Then you can smell and test whether or not you even like the stuff.

Some Countries have bans on what beauty products can be imported (France and Germany are 2 of them)

Hiring based on lookS? -

do you think hiring based on looks is unfair to hard workers ? especially those unemployed person because of recession?

Yes, it s unfair. But that s the way it has been and always will be. There s no objective way to discipline a company because they hire people with better looks over skilled workers. One personal example in my life was that I had 10 years of experience at my job and was really good at it - the department did need a new worker and the manager hired a blonde bimbo and she got my shift and I got put back down to a worse shift. She didn t know what the ***** she was doing (sorry about the language). Her and the manager had an affair (they were both married). Freakin ridiculous - but you can t really do anything about it.

Im a small clothing company. how do i go about getting licensing rights from schools to use their logos/? -

we would like to get licensing/logo rights from schools to use their logos for shirts, hats, mugs, etc.thanks,

You need to contact the Collegiate Licensing Company at http://www.clc.com/ and apply for permission to use the marks of the institution(s) you want to make products for. Your application won t get far unless you already have an established business making products and are creating a new or unique product that significantly different from the hundreds of other offerings that are already out there. You can also contact the individual schools directly. If you re only going to do merchandise for one or two schools or are going to be working with smaller schools that may not participate in the CLC, that may be a better option.

Is it a good marketing practice, especially with the holidays coming up, to run a CASH ONLY sale? -

If we are making hand over fist next Friday, but most customers pay with debit/credit cards, isnt that rewarding the banks more than the business itself?

Jason, this plan sounds more like a strategy to market yourself onto the scrap heap. I rarely like concepts that make it harder for customers to complete transactions. Taking away the way most consumers like to pay doesn t seem like much of an idea for them to connect with your business. What is the value proposition for them? (By the way, business owners who aren t constantly asking themselves that last question don t have much a future.) Customers don t care if you have to pay bank fees for card use; all they care about is making their transactions quicker and easier. That said, if you could turn it into a positive for buyers, I could warm to this idea. For instance, you might think about setting aside a certain segment of your merchandise and slashing prices with a cash-only caveat. You could select slow-moving or low-margin products, sort of a close-out for those armed with cash. That way, customers could feel that they are winning as you win too.

Can you guys please give me some bakery ideas? :)? -

I m about to open up my bakery. Well not literally about to open it up but I m in the process of doing so. I need a name for the bakery. My past ideas were Bun in the Oven, Sweetie Pie, and other stupid and corny ones. So please, if you will, help me out with figuring out what to name my bakery?

My GOODIES!Nah I m just kiddng don t name it that lolI liked the Sweetie Pie one, sounds very girly! :)I ll post some more if I can think of some namesWhat about something like The Princess and the Pie?Sorry, I don t have very good ideasGood luck!

Well,,, It can be cheesy or corny if that s the atmosphere around your community.I would base the name on a combination of two things:What fits you -- what mood you want to create; andWhat reflects well on the community -- Hip? Cheesy? I guess I could help more with specifics if I knew more about the demographic. Best wishes~

I want online job without investment give me site name? -

hello, please tell me...........which is online job legal?............i want online job without any investment and any joining fee job.................please tell me site name any thing online survey, deta entry etc.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

Finding a job like this very very difficult and there are lot of scams. In my view trying with survey sites without paying any fee will do something good to us. Register with as many sites as possible in order to get the survey participation invitation regularly. Good luck.

Most people on here will most likely suggest something that will only benefit them. I m a 15 year old high school student and I know what it feels like to be in desperate need of money. Recently, I came across an awesome and legit website. There is absolutely nothing to buy or sell; you just make money doing what youre already doing. It s absolutely free to become an active member. In order to make more money, make sure you tell your friends and family about it. Check it out: http://www.peoplestring.com/?u=sanjolipahal

This one is the best I have found, I personally use it everyday and would only recommend this one to people...http://www.cashle.com/?ref=uin1254263462Complete 100% free offers and surveys to earn. There are more offers than anything and they re quick and easy. You never have to give cc information or pay fees and the payout is daily if you choose with no limit! Sign up, confirm e-mail and you re ready to go! There is a live chat box where other members and administration are online 24-7 if you need help, advice, or proof!

Im 13 where can i get a job i despretly need mony pllllzzz tell me? -

If you live in a place with a lot of neighbors, it just might be easy. First, find out if your local newspaper will allow you to deliver papers. This can be good work because it is regular with a regular paycheck. The may require permissions from your parent/s and also from your school. Ask about the job with the newspaper first. Delivery of papers requires space to bundle them or wrap them in rain-resistant bags at your home. It also requires transportation like a bike with a bag or a wagon, if the customers are not too spread apart. If you know of elderly people nearby who can t get out to shop, you could introduce yourself and ask if you could do their grocery shopping, and ask if they can afford you at $10 a trip. You will have to demonstrate that you know how to follow directions in shopping, not take too long, have a way to carry or bike the groceries. If you got a few such customers, that could be regular income. If people want or need your help due to physical difficulties, be sure to offer bringing their paper to their hands as an extra service that you provide as a courtesy. If their letterbox is also a bit far to walk to, make the same offer so you are lightening the load of any disability. (Don t get greedy, though, by charging for every little thing.) If you have the basic supplies, like borrowing them from your family, ask your neighbors if you could wash their car for them at a time convenient for them. Either bring your supplies to their car, or, if you have a driveway nearby or a parking lot you have permission to use, set up shop there. (Make sure you only use soft brushes and soft cloths, since people would be angry if you scratch their car s paint.) I think 5 to $10 is the most you could charge. If you have a helper, you can do cars faster, so the price can remain the same. If your neighborhood has trees that drop too many leaves on lawns and streets, offer your neighbors the service of sweeping them all up and either bundling them for city pickup, or putting them in collections bins. Some people will be concerned only with their lawn. You ll need at least a rake, and maybe an old sheet to collect leaves in, if the homeowner provides a bin to put the debris in. Don t discard your only sheet. Notice that some people with a lot of land want their lawn cuttings to go into a bare area so the dry grass fertilizers bare ground. Take note if the customers could use that service. For the street, you ll need a big broom, maybe a push broom. Your charge should depend upon the size of the job and how much time the job takes you. Better to charge too little than too much and not get customers. If it s too little, after you realize that, ask for more from (and tell the new price to) the next customers. (Don t go back to the prior customers.) If you notice some neighbors are into gardening, ask if you helped do their weeding, could you earn some money? So that your technique does not upset anyone, ask them to show you how THEY identify weeds and where they want you to put them. Don t assume everyone regards all weeds the same way. Grocery delivery for a very small neighborhood store is also a possibility, unless nosy neighbors seem bothered by your working while so young. The wage will be very very little, but some homemakers with tip you. See if the store will provide the bike or wagon. A store that realizes this service pleases customers will probably encourage you to deliver several orders at once, with a box ox- or basket-quipped bike. Any neighborhood idea that is a small purchase for the customer(s) can be something whose income you don t need to worry might be taxable. The IRS rarely troubles teens with simple ideas.

Try selling candy at school... that s what I did for extra money when I was around that age.

I want to open a call center. Is it a profitable business in india? How to get started? -

i would absolutely agree with amal.its not a small business. your minimum investment should be from 8 lacs onwards.as Amal said you need well equipped software and hardware, hihg speed internet connections, Multi line VOIP connections, dedicated team. not to mention power problem in india which you have to overcome it. In short it need to be running 24X7.with having above you can always go for a cheap cost and increase it when you grow up. you can fins clients through advertising, email branding.wish you sucess.www.isleofgold.netwww.krebsfinancial.com

Call center cannot be classified as a small business. It requires large investments, connections with reputed companies in India and abroad, experience, Up to date net work with computerised set ups, experienced staff, 24 hours work schedule in rotation of 3 shifts, Licences permissions.Project reports are available from reputed consultants and one can invite the same by payment of fees or can advertise for the details which will not be free in any case.

You simply started earning the same day? Fureal?

Starting a teen business? -

I m a home-schooled senior looking to start my own business as a personal assistant in CA. I need some advice... I m trying to appeal to local business companies, home business owners, busy moms, disabled/elderly ones. Basic errands, office work, or delivery services within a 10 mile radius. I want to offer different payment options. How should I charge for gas, lets say if they want me to exceed my travel area by 10 more miles? How should I charge for last minute cancellations? I want to offer a flat rate thats also worth my while? Any suggestions?

You can try a completely free home based online business.

well for gas you could charge $5 -home business owners... depending on what business they do you could do about $20-$30-elderly/disabled... depends how long you help them... 1-2 hours: $10... 3-5 hours.: $20... all day: $30-busy moms... if you are talking about watching kids then about $15 for 1 kid $20 for 2 kids $35 for 3 $45 for 4 and $55 for 5-doing chores... dishes and cleaning and laundry ect.. about $20 a day-delivery... $20so on average $20-$30answer mine please!!!http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;

Your a teen, so generally speaking this isnt a good idea. Errands for strangers. Just not good. BUT, there is a way. Start with family. Let your clients begin with family and their close friends. Like coworkers of like 10 or more years. Mothers and Grand Mothers of close friends. Even choose your local senior citizen center. You can charge $3 for seniors for up to 3 or 5 tasks. If you get 10 Seniors thats $30 and gas is like $3 for 20miles of driving. Thats your best bet. Low on cancellations, good client base. Get an accordion file so you can put envelopes of money and instructions in each area. Clients that come back get their name out on a file area in the accordion file. Get a toll free number from www.onebox.com for like $12 a month an forward that to your cell. Get free business cards at www.vistaprint.com and get a professional brochure for your business at www.stocklayouts.com. You would charge for daily or single errand. Make a list of what you think people need. Get medicine, grocery shopping, personal shopper, laundry drop off and pick up, dry laundry drop off and pick up, babysitting, etc etc Make some things by hour and some by errand. Consider $2.50 for gas and $2.50 for yourself. Then the errand charge. So if Laundry drop off and pick up is $5 then add $5 and the fee is $10. Or make it 8 or 9 and they will give you a 10 dollar bill and you keep the tip. Minimum $5 charge. Daily Errands or DE s (created your lingo already lol) are your bread and butter. If you can get a routine going its gaurenteed income. Lets say 5 clients @ $10 a day thats $50 a week. Or 10 clients or 2 a day for the week @ $10 each is $100 a week. Not bad for a teen. Just make sure to open a bank account and always put 20-30% of what you make in the bank and dont touch it. Save until your 21-22 and you will be amazed. Be your first car money =) Save $25 a week = $1200 a year $30 a week = $1440 a yearAsk your parents about what I said and show them the websites. They might have something to add to what I said. Dont think immediately that you wont ask them. Usually if you have a good plan they will back you up and help.Good luck and be safe. Make sure you have them fill out a application. Includes their name, address, home number, cell number, job number, and on the back of this application without them knowing it put their license plate number get a birth month and day to send them birthday cards. But your getting the information for your safety =) $5 minimum covers your gas and alittle something for yourself. Thats 10miles of driving and $2.50. The rest is profit. So always start you prices at $5 plus whatever your going to charge for the fee. If the errand is $0 add $5 for a total fee of $15. But your clients should NEVER know this. This is a business owners eyes only. When you charge $15 they shouldnt know how your money breaks down. Maybe you can give birthday errands for free IF they are a regular client and you have used them alot before.

What are the payment options available at Freelance Sites? -

What are the payment modes in freelance sites.

Different payment options are available in freelance sites. The options like Paypal or Money Bookers [MB] are safe and best. Other payment options are not as cheap and safe as these two. If Paypal is not supported then you can use MoneyBookers to transfer money to your bank account. Its cheap and safe way to transfer money from freelance sites to your bank account. When you have created a account at Money Bookers then go to the Profile page and click on address in order to verify it. You must verify your postal address before you can start using MB.

Most of the good freelancing sites that i have gone through has two payment modesPaypal westerunion

Envelope stuffing(look at details)? -

So my mom and I were looking in the newspaper for maybe a second job for her, then we saw this envelope stuffing thing where you get like $10 for every envelope stuffed. So she called, and they sent the letter describing the job and the money you make. Well since the letter didn t give a website, I decided to look up the address. And wouldn t you know it? I found blogs and stuff talking about how it was a scam. For this program you had to send in $45, and If you weren t happy, they would refund your money. Well on some of those blogs I found, they actually did refund some people s money! Which defeats the purpose of scamming people for their money. On one blog the creator was talking about envelope stuffing, and what you re actually stuffing. Which is the same paper they sent to you, I think he said. But has anyone tried this(envelope stuffing) and actually got money? And why would my newspaper allow this to be published? here s the address that i m talking about: 4085 hancock bridge pkwy#111 suite #123North ft. myers, fl 33903google it and see what i m talking about:P

All envelope stuffing jobs are scams. That particular scam has been around for generations before there even was an Internet. Why does the newspaper publish it? Because it s not their job to verify whether anybody who wants to publish an ad in their paper is telling the truth or not. I m sure somewhere in the fine print of the advertising section, you ll see some fine print that says exactly that.

Dr. Deth s response is right on. Most publications do not check the worthiness of any ad. And as mentioned by other forum members, the stuffing envelope opportunity is a scam that s been drawing in new victims everyday!

That scam has been around since the beginning of time.

I actually fell for that scam once. :/It`s a rip.

in order to get paid for any of those things you will probably spend a lot more than you will get back1-you have to buy a mailing list of names to get to mail a letter or something to2-you have to print up letter and mail them - total cost - 50 cents a piece including envelopes and shipping3-for every 100 you get back ($50 in costs) you might get 2 responses ($20? income) and then you have to mail the entire envelope they sent back to you in a another envelope (2-3 ounces of postage) - further reducing your income - you you wind up losing money - not making it

Can you ask the store for a reprint of the receipts to prove that the quantity on black friday? -

well here let me expand a little as you know under law stores have to sell what they say they have like a certain quantity like minimum of 6 well is it true that we can ask to have the a page or reprint of receipts to prove that the minimum was sold since if there isnt then we are allowed to demand the product be shipped, rain checked or prepare for a huge lawsuit which has actually happened quite a few times

Sorry, but your question isn t well-written.If you re talking about a purchase limit ( Limit six per customer ), they have every right to restrict sales. Warehouse stores do this all the time to prevent abuse by people who intend to resell what they bought. If you mean that the store is advertising they only have a certain amount left ( Only six remaining ) then you d probably have to bug a lawyer about it. The store wouldn t give you their receipts, mostly because of privacy concerns, but also because such information can be used by their competitors, and also to prevent accusations of false advertising. Only the legal community can successfully subpoena those records.

I am looking for a government grant, where do I start? -

I have heard of many people who qualify for grants issued by the government but can not seem to find any websites to help me in my search. I remember all the infomercials late night on tv but havent seen any of those lately either. are the grants only available for a certain amount of time or a certain time of the year?

i have also noticed how much less advertising there is for these grants. my neighbor is a home rehabber and he got a grant to renovate a home for $30,000. doesnt have to pay it back he just has to spend the money to restore the home to its original state. just like it was in 1930 s the best part is he owns the home so he just plans on selling it when he is done and he gets to keep the profit no strings attached. I have been searching for something i am eligible for, so far the only thing i qualify for is a women owned business, I have been checking here regularly for new available searches http://gov-funding-solutions.com/

Check out at your nearest government office where the Small Business Administration office is. They are the ones in charge of giving government grants to aspiring business owners.

Wal-mart had a sale starting at 5:00. At 4:45 we were told the items were spoken for. Is that legal? -

It seems it is at least unfar if not something like Bat and switch The item was the $200 dollar laptop.

This is the way they get people in the stores. What really gets me is they only get 5 per store, what sense does that make. I gave up on black friday shopping years ago. I m hoping that the walmart website will have cyber monday sales with that laptop, I want it too.

Stores have VERY limited quantities of the hottest black friday items, and this is made clear in their ads. If they did sell at least what they promised to customers at that price, then yes it s legal. Many stores hand out some sort of paper or wristbands to early people in line - if you were further back, they could have been gone already to the people ahead of you.

Many larger stores handed out dibs coupons based on where you were in line (to prevent stampedes). If you weren t near the front of the line, you were out of luck.

Is store4all.mybisi.com a trustable website? -

I wouldn t even bother if I were you. I actually tried buying an ipod touch from the website last week and today I sent them a pretty angry e-mail. Communication sucks, things with them seemed suspicious, and my transaction was declined because ..seller provided completely different details to us therefore; we are not accepting their account with Paymate. (I paid for the item using my debit card through Paymate, and they asked me if I could please advise them what product I was purchasing and from which website, because the seller was new to Paymate and they just wanted to ensure that all their security checks were completed to protect me.)Anyways, after being declined , I sent them an e-mail saying what all happened, that they are scam artists, and I wasn t buying **** from them. Btw, when I received e-mails from them, they were sent by someone named Jonathan Palmers whose e-mail is books4now@live.com. But on the last e-mail, I was sent this: Sorry credit card payment is temporally out of serviceand your funds will be refunded back to your card if you want this product please mail me your paymentPlease made your payment to Blase Pendarovskiand my address isBlase Pendarovski14781 memorial dr.suite 1242Houston . TX 77079Personal check, cashiers check, money order or cash is fine. Please e-mail me if you have any questions Plus, in Paymate, the e-mail admin4u@catholic.org was being used. I dunno, I feel dumb for not doing my research. I m just glad they didn t get away with my money.

I was just looking into that myself and found this site http://www.bustathief.com/scammed-by-store4all/ . It looks like someone else was scammed by the runner of the website. I am planning to stay clear. I also found the Blaze Pendarovski mentioned in that guy s article on a listing of know internet scam artists. Hope this helps.

What is the best site for hosting an Ecommerce site? -

I am in the process of owning my own online retail business. I ve asked on yahoo answers about 3 times and keep getting treated as if I don t have a brain. That being said, what hosting site is the most reliable and offers the most services?I want to offer multiple ways for a customer to pay, such as paypal AND credit cards (some people don t know what paypal is... so please don t try convincing me to only use paypal).I also would like my customers to log in (so that they don t have to type in their information every time they buy an item).I would love a hosting site that offers templates because I like to create, but am not good at designing a web page without guidance. If you have any advice for my online store, I d be happy to hear it. if you don t know of any good hosting sites, I d like information about sites you would recommend not using.(oh, and if you would like to put a link to your site, that d be great. That way I can see an example of a template from the hosting site, and you can get some free marketing:)Thank you!

I ve spent the last 6 months researching an eCommerce site provider with a lot of the same things you are looking for. I ended up with Volusion and have been EXTREMELY HAPPY with the package plan chose.Their support is top notch as well!Price is reasonable, it s easy to use with free templates or build your own template, you also have multiple ways to have your customers pay, customers can log in, everything that you re looking for.I ve been with them now for 3 months and glad I went with them!Best of luck!

Go to ecommerce angel.com. They set up a site for me the very same day and it looks and works great. All you do is add your products. Really easy to do.

I answered a question similar but sure I will help you.Starting an online store there are many ways to do it.1. You are designing an entire site including the payment gateway with Api (requires web programming development skills)2. You want a host that supplies a template and payment gate way for you which is probably what you want. about $39.99 a month most are limited items up to x amount.3.Use simple cart buttons that are supplied free from payment gateway companys like paypal and google.4. There are software companies online that create carts and process payments through their merchant services. Depends if you want to accept coupons and so on I would go with #2 its your best option as its easiest to apply everything you want it sets up coupons, shipping preferences (calculate shipping, different shipping address other then billing please read policy). Also depending on the webhost you choose some partner with companies like yahoo webhosting accepts creditcards and paypal is a partner. To really accept all payments you would have to develop yourself (have the whole site custom done). I like yahoo small business because they have sitebuilder which is a good tool easy to apply buttons and with the plan the payment gateway is ready just add buttons and designing in a template is all point a drag.Email me more details in my profile any questions I will answer them and in timely manner.

Hi , I think I can help you choose the best web hosting.Well there is Hostgator , google host , Yahoo host , Dream host , Network solutions , Justone host , Godaddy host , blue host and Lots more but the Most Recommended one is Network Juice Hosting ; NetworkJuiceHosting.comI think They now offer plans starting around $0.99/mo for a great amount of diskspace plus everything else unlimited. Plus they ve manage to keep up 99% Uptime. They have all features such as PHP5, java ,Cpanel , Fantastico ( allows you to auto install Blogging systems and CMS portals without wasting time) , Cron Job , Apache ,Unlimited Dadabase , ftp accounts and much more. Basically EVERYTHING! is supported. Also it comes with something called RVS site builder. You can use it when you want too. It Helps you build websites using only 2 skills : point and click. Lol , or you can upload your own files , scripts and ect. How ever you want to run or build your site. There are other affordable and great plans as well , in NetworkJuiceHosting.com. I hope this company never change to tell you the truth bro. Also , Sometimes they give you scripts such as E-commerce , Forums and etc , but you must request them or you can just use the Fantastico system they offer you which can help install a basic E- commerce system.Hostgator.com is also a great host , but there Uptime time is not so good. Also , customer service is very poor , Not to many features are supported.Google.com not so sure , But i know there s lots of files they do not support , no Cpanel , and i don t know how come , but they have been receiving downtimes lately in their host servers.Yahoo , let me just say it s the worst web host ever ,you can t even host the amount of domains you want to host . Including FatCow.com. The downtime is way to much , and many files are un-compatible in fatcow for some reason. Network Solutions , Is by far the MOST THEFT out of all web host in the world wide web. They tend to theft your domain registered on their registrar and your files , also they do not give you the full Web Disk Space you have ordered. Also THEY ARE WAY TOO Over priced for the non-quality hosting they offer. To buy a domain , the most recommended site is godaddy , but not for it s hosting!! I Tell you !!!.For a Great Affordable web host with maximum features and quality , the most recommended web host is www.NetworkJuiceHosting.com . ; Network Juice Hosting.

Chelsea,Im sorry you were treated poorly. You definitely have a brain, I can tell from your question.I have several websites on several hosts, and I like Justhost the best. Plus, they are the best deal out there right now. Justhost has an ecommerce program you can use, it comes with your plan. You could also use Wordpress. Wordpress is very easy to setup, and the results are great. Many thousands of templates. Just google free wordpress themes Also below is a secret link for 20% off Justhosts 50% off, great deal.Good luck

How do i buy fabric for my clothing design business? -

Im thinking about starting up a webstore, selling my designs. every design will be made to order, but i dont know how i will have a supply of fabric. do i buy it in bulk, get it through wholesale or buy it when its needed (get the order then buy the fabric from the fabric store) ? please help x

You have both options to buy in bulk or order them when you need it. All you need is to have contact with a reliable supplier or manufacturer who could supply you the fabric. Buying from a manufacturer or supplier would be much cheaper than a reseller. Try these suppliershttp://www.hellotrade.com/shijiazhuang-hhttp://www.hellotrade.com/yixing-city-tihttp://www.hellotrade.com/deebtex/You will find the other suppliers from http://www.teonline.com/fabrics/

Do you have a projected sales number? If you only plan on selling a few pieces of garments a year, then making it yourself is a justifiable plan of action. But you indicate you want to buy in Bulk . So you evidently anticipate moving allot of product. So answering your question at face value, if your looking for bulk fabric, or fabric by the bolt, many large cities have a fabric district where great values can be found. Sometimes for as low as .90 cents a yard.A google search online may even net you a few sites with bolts of fabric for sale at discount prices. Either because they are out of fashion, or they have over run of a particular material or pattern. If your in the East Coast, Philadelphia s Fabric District is VERY well known for its great deals. Your other option, is to go to a site like alibaba.com.(Website below) Do a search for the exact type of material you are looking for. This is a B2B type marketplace and you will have the world ready to sell to you any material you might need, at a huge discount; but be aware their is a minimum order for that. However, you might want to explore going another route. Like coming up with the design, and working with a local OR overseas manufacturer to reproduce your designs. You will be able to sell more, and concentrate on your design work. Another option is to just come up with a product, make produce a few samples for demonstration and modeling purposes, doing some research on mass production costs and roll out time, and then trying to get a fashion store chain to carry your brand. Good luck!

If you buy fabric in bulk from Alibaba, like has been suggested, you can always sell what you dont use on as commercial supplies on a website like Etsy. Etsy might also be a good venue for selling your items, I know people like Courtney Love and other celebs buy from shops on there and some sellers get featured on lots of U.S t.v shows. I would also recommend Etsy for buying fabrics, fabrics that might be hard to find elsewhere and you can buy as much as you want from some shops. Ive also seen a great website called Spoonflower where you can upload your own images and they print it on the fabric for you, you can select what fabric you want and how many metres you wantGood Luck.

In addition to the advice you ve received, I d suggest you start reading at http://www.fashion-incubator.com -- search sourcing at least, and CPSIA if you have any intention of sewing children s products. Yes, you probably need Kathleen s book. I d also suggest you look at the tutorials, particularly the zipper tutorials. Also if you re in California or New York, search the names of those states -- there are some laws specific to those states you need to know about.See especially: http://www.fashion-incubator.com/archive and the two further parts of that series.Problems with buying retail (or bolts of fabrics from retailers):1) it s more expensive per yard, even if you re getting a healthy discount for buying whole bolts2) if you buy a fabric that turns into a hot seller for you, you may not be able to ever get it again.3) labeling on retail bolts tends to be minimal, and not always trustworthy. And you have that (usually perma-)crease down the center of the yardage. (Manufacturers typically only buy rolled fabrics)4) once you get used to specifying fabrics in a professional way, when you really want some 9oz navy plated cotton jersey, you re not going to be happy with having to run around to look at retail stores and find out their jersey is not plated, or it s actually ribbing or interlock or... or... or...Problems with buying wholesale:1) you ll need to establish your credit2) wholesalers, like almost any supplier in the rag trade, are a little crazy and may not even be willing to answer questions (see http://www.fashion-incubator.com/product3) yardage minimums are often much too large for a startup -- you may get stuck with fabric you ll have to try to sell to recoup the costsThere s a third option, jobbers -- these are companies that take manufacturer s overages and resell them to small manufacturers and crazy home sewing enthusiasts like me, who have been known to buy 100 yards of a staple fabric at once. Prices are generally better than retail, with decreasing prices as the yardage you buy goes up. However, if you haven t got one near you with what you want, you may not save much because of shipping. And you usually cannot reorder fabric -- they ve got what they ve got, and when it s gone, there ll be something else, but not the one you need another 3 yards of. Here s one near me -- look at the pricing structure for some of their fabrics:http://www.rosecitytextiles.com/product- -- the first price is price per yard for 1-49 yards, the second is the price for 50+ yards.

How can this young woman become an entrepreneur? -

I m 25, and really, really want to start my own business. I want a company with a really meaty idea - something I can sink my teeth into. The problem is, I m very creative and feminine, and have focused all of my interests in the performing arts and shopping basically. (ie - Opera, playing the violin, ballet, learning piano, ballroom dancing, tap dancing, musical theater, shopping, clothes, and makeup). Even in college, I studied opera and now I currently work for an opera company on the administrative end of things.Any suggestions?

Since you ve listed the areas you are interested in why not start a business there. Most businesses start very small. You can start by teaching kid s to play instruments. Volunteer to help a grade school music teacher with a concert. Explain to her that you teach kid s to play musical instruments and you would like to volunteer some time in exchange for a chance to meet kid s that want more than the school can provide. You don t have to spend money advertising this way and if the first teacher likes you try helping at other grade schools and keep building your clientel. You can do something similar with dance. You can build this up as big as you want.Good LuckJim

Check out this business film The YES Movie the film producer Louis Lautman interviewed the most innovative and successful men and women under 30 years of age in business today.

About how much money does it cost to start a small restaurant in Florida? -

20000 would give you a cushion and operating cost for three months as long as you started small. you need to advertise, but only smart advertising. Low cost things such as flyers, ballot box dinner give-aways ect. , Look into second hand resturant equipment or possibly leasing. And dont splurge all on location! A great location can help but hard work and integrity goes a long way in business. Put your money in the best product you can offer

How do you open a online store? -

I am located in dixon california. I have gotten a Home occupation permit, Business license, sellers permit. What other kinds of permits do i need to make a online store to sell band a dj gear? There will only be one person running the website which is me. I already have a domain and website name, do i have to register that? Thanks

Looks like you re taking the right steps. The US government has a website listing licensing/permit requirements by city. You can review them under step 3 on the following web page to ensure that you ve got your bases covered. http://search.business.gov/permitme2_0.dIs your website domain name your business name? If you operate as a sole proprietor and are doing business under a business name instead of your real name, you need to register that business. You want to go to your county clerk s office and file a fictitious name statement.

Does any body know the best fee free work at home jobs that are no scams..thanks? -

If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a certified graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects using Microsoft Word. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.Good luck!

What are the legit article writing jobs website where you really earn money? -

StoryMash is legit and my favorite for writing fiction.

Are there any legit quot;work at homequot; jobs out there, such as data entry? -

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

You could start a completely free home based online business.

Any good DVDs on how to run a farm? -

Im a new retailer and Im selling computers and other electronic online. Is Ebay or Craiglist for me? -

I m a licensed retailer and I sells new stuff from my wholesale warehouse supplier. Would it be better for me to do that business on Ebay, Craiglist or would it be better to do my own business website?

No. Definitely not. Its not wise to buy from resellers. You can order directly in bulk from manufacturers or suppliers. B2B websites are a better options for you. You will find the manufacturers and suppliers with product and contact details from these B2B websites for free. Try http://www.hellotrade.com/business/compu and http://www.digitivity.com/

Rather than asking us, do a few clicks and find out for yourself. Go to eBay, log in, then do a search for exactly the types of products you ll be selling. Next look on the left sidebar and click to see the Completed listings. You will then see a list of all of the items that ended in the last 2 weeks. At the top, set it to show Highest first . The sales prices you see with prices in green will tell you about the maximum you can expect to get for the product there. You have no way of checking Craigslist s existing sales prices, so the best way would be to test. As a retail business, you should get used to doing comparative market testing. You might sell a set number of units on Craigslist and eBay, then compare how well price/post time works for you. Some products do very well on Craigslist. You can survey existing listings to get a rough idea of what existing sellers think they can get for them. But you don t know what sold, so you ll have to find out for yourself.Since the web is a digital medium, there s a huge market for computers and electronics, but it s extremely competitive. I find it difficult to sell many items without pricing pretty low.I would absolutely suggest setting up your own website, even if you primarily sell through eBay, etc. At the minimum, you can set up a small site with an embed of your eBay listings. You might want to look into SEO (search engine optimization) for ways to drive traffic to your site. Also, you want to start an email newsletter and build an email list. These are absolutely gold for an online business. Ii usually takes at least many months to build traffic to a side, though, so eBay and Craigslist are probably your best bets to start. The trick with websites is to find a niche that your business can serve. Eventually, your site might do most of your sales and just use offsite listings for advertising.

There are Community Forums on eBay where you can ask this question of other retailers in a similar business as yours that can give you excellent answers. There are a lot of people on eBay who have been there, done that, and have a ton of experience. Remember that eBay and PayPal both charge a fairly hefty percentage of your ending sale price so keep that in mind. I m not sure how Craigslist feels about retailers using the site but I do see a lot of retailers selling on there. You should check out their rules but I think they re pretty lax and leave it up to the community to settle things between themselves.

Have you looked into ebid.net yet?Free listing, very low final value fees. Loads more flexible than ebay, and clamps down on scammers quicklyhttp://www.helium.com/items/1662609-ebay

Whats a quick way to get $460 in three weeks!!? -

So my parents finally decided to cave in!! My mom will be paying 400 dollars and my dad will be pay 640 dollars for a Macbook pro 13inch. They said it was up to me to get the rest of the money. Which is 460 dollars. The deadline is at the end of December (three weeks) because were buying it from Best Buy. At best buy we have points which give us money so it works out...sorry if i m not explaining it correctly...

Options:1) Get a job. Take a stroll in your neighborhood tomorrow and just ask about temp labor2) Call your grandparents or other relatives and explain the situation. A good friend may be able to help, but try to understand how important it is to repay your friends soon!3) Ask your parents for a loan and make a promise for the future (I will get a job; I will forgo half of my pocket money for X months). Try not to look like a jerk when you make the request.

take a loan from your parents. They donate 400 and 640 as you said, and they each kick in $230 more ; $460, WHICH YOU AGREE TO REPAY TO THEM BY THE 1ST OF MARCH? (or lose the use of the Macbook pro13inch until you pay off both loans.Personally I prefer to deal with Sam s Club. They have better prices, and you get the discounts or rebates at the time of purchase. (Not rebates that you have to mail in, like at Best Buy). Upgrade your membership at Sam s Club to Advantage Plus, and get a free (2nd) year of extended warranty.Interesting that you do not say how old you are, and whether or not you have a job.

oh good question:well, anyway theres this site called ********, i absolutely loooooove it :D its a survey/offer site thing, where you fill out surveys and such. blah blah. and you can make a LOT of money a month.i have made over 10 bucks already and ive been using this for like... idk, a week :) im a teen and this is the way that i earn money. lol. :Phttp://www.*************/1550973thats the link :)i also have this other site that lets you earn money, except you can only join by email.. so if you want to, msg me :) its called lockerz.good luck!gosh, i wrote a lot. i should be doing my essay. lol.EDIT: ahhh, wtf. it blocked out the website name...? omg.. ugh. apparently im spamming? uh no.. well if you want the site, msg me. sorry :(

you could possibly sell some of your belongings that you don t need. Sell them on eBay.Get a job if you can.

You ll need to have a PREMIER or BUSINESS account (and not a PERSONAL account) otherwise you won t be able to receive credit card payments from other people.STEP 2Law of AttractionIt is an undeniable law of the universe that we must first give in order to receive. So the first thing to do when you have your Premier/Business PayPal account is to IMMEDIATELY send a $5 payment from your PayPal account to the email address in the position (1 or 2 - depending on your birthday in the timeline), along with a note saying: HERE IS A $5 GIFT FOR YOU. Be certain to add this note, as this is what KEEPS THIS PROGRAM LEGAL. Instructions on how to send a payment are under SEND MONEY at the Paypal Site. It s so Easy!!When you send your $5 payment to either address in the list, do it with a great big smile on your face because as you sow, so shall you reap! After you have transferred a $5 payment to the email address, something very eerie happens. It gives you an indescribable, overwhelming sense of certainty, belief and conviction in the system. You ve just proved to yourself that, because you have done it, there must be a great number of other people ready to do exactly the same. Thus you have now seen for yourself, first hand, that this business actually works!REMOVE the email address you are replacing (the one you sent $5 to), and REPLACE it with your own email address. REMEMBER: Use the same EMAIL ADDRESS that is used with YOUR Paypal account ! !Paste your newly typed email address over the old one and then send it to your friends....remember..only a few have to respond in order for you to make thousands! Don t hesitate ..., JUST 30 MIN OF YOUR TIME, THAT S IT THERE IS NO MORE TO DO!! ACT FAST AND GET THE GIFT. We are all apart of this Great Big Family and it helps to foster the HONESTY AND INTEGRITY that MAKES THIS PLAN WORK!! Then share with your other friends and family... how can you lose ????YOUR NAME COULD CYCLE FOR A LONG TIME! THIS MAKES IT THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING. This is excellent seed money to start or expand a business, buy you dream home, car, and pay off whatever bills you may have. Good luck and God Bless. If you play fairly, Good fortune will follow. WHY THIS PROGRAM WORKS: Straight to the point, the reason this program is SO SUCCESSFUL is because when you post this in 50 different message boards, there are only TWO outcomes. (1) A person s birthday will fall on the same half as yours, therefore, YOU GET THE $5 . . OR, (2) a persons birthday will fall on the other half of the timeline, therefore, YOU STAY IN YOUR POSITION and get posted in 50 other MESSAGE BOARDS, etc . .BOTTOMLINE: Either you get the $5 or your name gets passed on for other people to give YOU $5 or pass YOUR name on to other people that will. It makes you think though, the more you post YOUR OWN POSTS, the BETTER the results! 4 FACTORS THAT MAKE THIS PROGRAM SO SUCCESSFUL. . .* EXTREMELY FAST RESPONSE* EXTREMELY HIGH RESPONSE RATE* UNLIMITED PROFIT POTENTIAL* QUICK, SIMPLE AND CHEAP TO GET STARTEDSo there it is. You now have the knowledge that will enable you to make over $10,000 within the next few weeks. The only thing that can hold you back now is a lack of faith or a lack of self-belief. However, any doubts you may currently have will disappear within a few days of putting this plan into practice. Trust me on this! You certainly won t regret it.Best Regards, please feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Feel free to email me at imabeliever2010@hotmail.com The law of attraction works and using the law of attraction and cash gifting only magnifies your benefits. Oh and paypal premier account is free so dont worry. Be A Blessing..And Be Blessed!!!

How to start a florist shop without any experience? -

How to set up, where, how much ... ??

In setting any business at all, firstly it boils down to your obejctives.what is the perpose of setting it up.Obviously its to earn $ and get the bestest return on your investment ( ROI)...and having answered that, how many % would you want returned on your equity..?:)) and more importantly,How long you want it to be returned.Document all this into your business plan.now with all the figures in your head, start with a comfortable budget. With that budget you might perhaps want to plan out the logistics.Flowers are perishable and therefore, getting equipment to store them,ie Freezers, etc. Then you have to go out and source for both suppliers n clients lor... ok so much for now

If you have no experience, training and expertise in the field, you are a sure loser opening a shop in that area of specialization. You need to know all of your flowers, how long they last, how much demand there is for each type of flower at different times of the year, how to make flower arrangements, where to source wholesale, how much they go for, what equipment you require, and so much more. If you have not worked in a flower shop for several years and taken some management courses as well, you have absolutely no chance of competing with the professionals and you will lose all of your investment.

By gathering up a LOT of money and being prepared to see it all spent and you going broke. Why? Because NO ONE should be starting a business without knowing SOMETHING about RUNNING a business. It is a sure formula for failure.Best bet is to get into the busines by taking a job in a florist shop. LEARN how the owner runs the business. Learn where the florist gets his/her supplies and the wholesale outlets for flowers. Learn how to prepare for each season. It s not just about Valentine s Day, or Mother s Day or Xmas. It s about which flowers are in season and which ones aren t. It s about knowing WHERE to get a plant that just isn t IN season and how much YOU D expect to pay for it. It s about tracking the money being spent and the money coming in. It s about knowing accounting practices, tax law, labor laws, collections, dunning, contracts, and the price of gas in November and how it compares to the price in June.It s about marketing, product preparation, presentation and, guess what? It s about EXPERIENCE. Get it, first.

I would suggest you check out The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running. Do you have prior experience with flowers and the industry? I would love opening a florist shop, my Mother and I love gardening and planting, so this would be right up my alley! :)I know the thought of opening up a florist shop may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you, I wish you all the success!

As a retail shop owner, can I do payroll by myself? -

Hello! As a retail shop owner, can I do payroll to my employees myself, without any contract with payroll companies? What is the rules and what should I track for tax wise? Thanks for your kind information!

Yes you can, and simple way with quickbooks (Saving some time..)In my experience and Opinion the easy way is to use QuickbooksIf you have it already (and 90% of case you do).. here is the how ..You can do your payroll in QuickBooks without subscribing to the fee-based Intuit Payroll Services, but it means you have to calculate the deductions manually. This can be onerous unless you have only a few employees, and all or most of them are on salary or are hourly workers whose hours don t change every week. Here s how to set up and configure QuickBooks for do-it-yourself payroll services without paying for the tax tables that provide automated paycheck calculations: Choose Edit - Preferences and go to the Payroll Employees section. Select Full Payroll and click OK to close the Preferences dialog. Choose Employees. If this is the first time you ve accessed the Employees menu, the Set Up Payroll window opens automatically. If you ve already begun setting up payroll, choose Employees - Payroll Services - Set Up Payroll. Select Choose a Payroll Option. In the Payroll Setup Options window that opens, select Do-It-Yourself Payroll. At the bottom of the window, look for the sentence that begins If you don t want to use an Intuit Payroll service.... Click the link labeled Learn More. In the window that opens, click the link labeled To Calculate Payroll Taxes Manually. Read (and print) the instructions, and then click the button labeled I Choose To Manually Calculate Payroll Taxes. You re returned to the Payroll Setup Window, where the option to sign up is no longer required. Go through the remaining options to set up your payroll items and taxes. To issue paychecks, select each employee and enter the gross wages. Enter the deductions, using a minus sign for each amount. For federal withholding, use the Tax Rate Schedule or Tax Table from Circular E, which the IRS sends to every employer each year. Hope this help ..Good luck and have a great day..

Creative Ideas On How to Make Some Money? -

I m a college student and I have found it nearly impossible to get any sort of employment. My bank account is nearly empty because I can t find any ways to make any money. I thought i d post this and see if we could find some creative ideas on how to make some spending money and such. Go for it.

1. Step 1 Write effectively for eHow.com. This one may seem obvious, but take a closer look at the previous sentence - there s an emphasis on effectively. If you make the effort to learn from the eHow experiences of experts you ll save yourself a tremendous amount of time and dramatically increase your earnings. 2. Step 2 Design t-shirts. CafePress is a company that will allow you to submit t-shirt designs (funny phrases, pictures, etc.) at no cost to you and if a t-shirt design of yours sells you ll receive a portion of that sale. A perfect no overhead business for creative people. (A link to this website is provided in the Resources Section.) 3. Step 3 Blog about something that interests you. This is completely free and can be both a work at home revenue stream and a fun creative outlet or way to keep in touch with friends. Setting up a blog is extremely easy today. If you can manage an email account (or an eHow.com account) then you can manage a Blogger (Google s blog service) account. Once your blog is up and running apply for Google AdSense to monetize your blog without having to sell a product. 4. Step 4 Sell tickets. Reselling tickets for sporting events and concerts can be a fun and profitable business that you can run out of your house. Thanks to websites like Stubhub.com and eBay you can now sell tickets for events all over the country. Visit PresaleToday.com to find out in advance when popular events are taking place and also find valuable presale passwords for free. 5. Step 5 Sell books. Amazon.com is a great place to sell used books that you already have at your house, find at a yard sale, or find any number of other ways. When I was a college student I found that professors had tremendous amounts of unused textbooks that were free for the taking. Redistributing books online is a great way to share knowledge in a way that s most affordable for the purchaser and profitable for the seller. 6. Step 6 Sell your photos. Visit Big Stock Photo where you submit photos (or artwork) for other people to buy/download. When your pictures are purchased you split a portion of the sale with Big Stock Photo. You can make between 50 cents and $3.00 per download.

Grand Opening Giveaway Contest Question? -

In a few weeks I will open a new business and thinking about doing a special Grand Opening promotion like giveaway a few door prizes. My question is will I break any laws (North Carolina) if I make customers do a minimum purchase in order to enter this contest. Due to the nature of my business, it s does make make a huge different to one customer who spend says $50 and get the same chance as a non-purchased customer. So I was wondering may be if I advertised that a minimum purchase had to be $5 and the customer who purchased $50 worth of good would get 10 entries and have more chances.

Not legal. That woudl be a lottery, not a giveaway/contest. Lotteries are considered gambling. Look at other contests/giveaways - all say no purchase necessary Check the NC website for specific information on information on gaming (gambling) laws.

New business registrations are public record, right? -

Can they be found online, or do I need to go in person to my city hall? Which department? I m in New York City if that matters. My boss wants a whole list of them for business, but I don t think it works like that (I think you re suppose to provide names?). I just wanted to ask. :\

I am pretty sure it would be public info if a person has a business license or not. It s not something that is found online. Anyone can set up a website and even operate a business but it doesn t mean they have a business license. As far as going to the city hall you could do that to see if someone has a business license but I am not sure if they would tell you unless you have a reason for needing to know. I don t think they would provide you with a list of everyone who holds a business license and addresses or anything like that so your boss could solicit them for business. Why else would he need to know who all holds a business license? This is not something you can just go and look at their books or records and find for yourself.

Yes. recorded at county.

I want to start a club at school. Any good ideas? -

I want to start a club at school but i want it to be unique. What type of clubs would you join? Any good ideas?

The guy above me was WAY wrong to ask you what school and what city you belong to. Please do not answer him. That was very inappropriate. I m sure you know but I wanted to warn you just in case. How about:Art ClubGuitar ClubRunning ClubPing-Pong ClubTennis Club Creative Writing ClubKey Club (community service club)Glee Club (singing club)Movie Club (watch and study movies)Peer Aid Club (you have things like bake sales and car washes to help student who join the club with tuition and personal finances; a lot of people would join this one)Theater Club (you could raise money and have frequent opera or theatre field trips: afterschool or on the weekends to build knowledge aabout theatre and their techniques and stuff) Just some ideas to help with your thinking =D

Hi Han, I believe you have a great idea and a great opportunity!!! I had been trying to find a serious, mature, and responsible business oriented club to join myself. I was the President of the International Club of my High School back in NY. To be unique, the first thing to do is to brainstorm about different ways to make it innovative, for example if you are going to begin a business club, within the club, select team and have them research, develop, design and compete among each other to prove the qualities and talents of its members. That is just one idea. Sorry but what is your club idea about, what city and what school? Hope to hear back from you soon!

How much does it cost to insure a jewelry store? -

I am doing a fairly in depth project for school and I need to find out how much it costs to insure a small retail jewelry store. Obviously it depends on allot of things but for the purpose of this project I just need a rough number. Thanks!

Where is it locatedHow many square feetValue of inventoryAmount of risk on inventory you are willing to acceptHow much liability coverageHow much liability exposure are you willing to acceptTalk to a good insurance agent about this

The answer depends largely on the value of the inventory. There are fairly standard valuations used for property such as the building (which may be independently insured by the lessor) and other standard equipment such as display cases, stocking equipment, POS terminals, etc. These would be similar from store to store. The largest insurable value would be the jewelry itself, which would vary widely from store to store.Because the value of the inventory would probably dwarf that of the other items, I d just estimate that value then figure on a monthly premium equal to 3% of that. A quick call to a local insurance company would probably get you a more accurate estimate based on current actuarial conditions.

How will the eresource ERP Finance Module help improve auditing? -

In our Finance Resource Management module, transactions require document attachments before posting. This would ensure that there are no backlogs for documentation. For the auditor, the documents wil be displayed on click of a button to review a transaction. In addition, eresource ERP s financial accounting provides company-wide integration that is essential to strategic decision making. The financial accounting module in eresource ERP gives you the ability to centrally track financial accounting data within a single framework, of multiple companies, multiple branches and chart of accounts.well that s it the answer to the question is simple and it s eresourceerp . kindly visit the URL:www.eresourceerp.com for more information about this company.

HI there! My Name is Natalie and I have my OWN home business. I totally love it! I am able to stay with my beautiful baby boy! (as you can see on my avatar..lol)Anyways, Im not allowed to actually post any websites here because I will totally be flagged (I have before) so now Im just letting people know to directly email me for more info!I do work from home, BUT its not a job, its my business does that makse sense? I dont sell I ADVERTISE to people who are need of medical or dental benefits at low costs (this is really great since alot of ppl are of course in need and our prices are affordable!)Anywhoo, if you interested or want more details email me at : nataliejazmin07@yahoo.comHope to hear from you soon! this is a really great opportunity!:)

The cheapest small business is MLM or network marketing.MLM DOES require that you call on friends and family as your first customers until you REALLY learn how to market. Regardless of the crap you may hear online about attracting clients. You can also build websites. If you want to start a brick and mortar business you need to go to the SBA and join SCORE.All SBA loans require that you put up a minimum of 20% and that you are at the job site or business 90% of the time. Basically, you buy a job for yourself.

Hi jk, My name is Barry and I am a independent business owner. I m part of a MLM. No matter what others might say about MLM s. It comes down to what drives you to reach and achieve your dreams and goals. If you like to have conversations with people and help people then MLM is the way to go. It is a business were every day people like you and I can become very successful if that it what you want in life. If you are serious jk contact me. I would like to talk to you to see if we can become partners in this great business. You can reach me at bahoffman24@yahoo.com

It depends upon what kind of business you are keen to open.

Without naming any goofy survey websites or anything like that, Tell me how I can make some money, like avon? -

Hello, please name some things I could do like aovn with low start up costs like avon that has room for improvement, where I can get signed up here in Windsor Ontario, thats doesnt involve health and beauty because I sell that with avon, but something that I could sell right beside Avon, anyone know of anything?

Unfortunately, you re very likely to get a lot of goofy survey websites or scams. Gotta weed through them. :)Scentsy just opened up to Canada on October 1st. It s truly an amazing opportunity for Canadians to get their foot in the door of a ground breaking company that has been very successful in the US. Scentsy is a company that provides wickless candles. Safe around pets and children. I love it!Good luck! I hope you find something great.Lisa

What is asset based lending and factoring? -

Im unable to qualify for a bank loan for my small business. Ive heard of asset based lending and factoring, but am not sure how it would work for me and how I go about finding someone who does this and help me make sure that asset based lending is the right thing to do. My banker didnt know who to recommend me to.

Factoring is the selling of a company s invoices to a factoring company or factor in order to increase cash flow and provide working capital. As work or services are provided to a creditworthy customer, the factor advances funds (usually around 80% of the invoice) when the invoice is issued. When the invoice is paid 30, 45, 60, etc. days later, the remaining funds are paid less a small transaction fee. With asset based financing, working capital and term loans are secured by accounts receivable, inventory, machinery, equipment, and/or real estate. A company s financial statements are usually analyzed as in traditional lending, but it is less costly than factoring. Both factoring and asset based financing are more costly than traditional bank financing but are available to companies with creditworthy clients that may not qualify for bank loans. Hope this helps!

Factoring is as follows:Imagine this: say you have sold $10000 of widgets to retailer X, but you have them on net 30 so you won t see the money for 30 days. However, you need money NOW. You can call up a factor company who will offer to buy that $10000 receivables for a discount. Say, $8500. You lose $1500, but you get the money NOW. They make the $1500 by investing the $8500 now and make it in 30 days. (That s just an example, actual numbers will be different)As for asset based lending, that s basically lending on what the business OWNS vs. the business OWNER. Unless your business has significant assets, doubt asset based lending would help. See if there are special government loans that you qualify for.

Asset based lending is where a finance company will lend you money based upon your accounts receivable balance (take a lien on A/R). Generally a company will look at your receivables (as well as some other financial information) and develop an availability (what they would be willing to lend you). This is more expensive than a traditional bank loan but less expensive than actually factoring. A factor actually purchases your receivables (rather than taking a lien on them like they would in ABL). Factoring is generally pretty expensive. Depending on the type business you re in and what geograpic area you re in there are tons of companies that do these types of transactions. A place to start looking would be ABF Journal or look up asset based lending companies on line. Good luck.

Qualification for small business loan for new business? -

Will securing a small business loan for a new business be based on my personal credit? What is the minimum a first time borrower will receive? If I am planning to purchase a house in the next three years and I secure a business loan this year will it affect applying for a home loan in the next three years?

Yes, Depends on your current income and personal credit, Yes.Right now it s extremely difficult to get any sort of business loan. I wouldn t want to put a hard number on it, but I would venture that if your credit score is less than about 750, there s little to no chance for a business loan. Additionally, you re going to need something to secure the loan with, probably a house. Loans are very risky for startups, and banks aren t lending much right now.

I think there are more options than you think- have you seen prosper.com or businessloanrates.org? Report Abuse

Being a small business owner, you need to pay extra attention to management of financial resources. Since growth of your business somehow depends on its financial position, you should always be cautious about cash flaw within or outside your business. It is quite true that lack of finance can become a big problem in the way of the success of your small business. http://www.worldbestloans.com/businessloans.htmSince market is crowded with various business loan schemes, every small business owner can manage to get the desired amount without any problem. Therefore if you own a new and small business organization and financial shortfall is bothering you, then these loans can prove to be the best help for you.

I am in the process of opening a new small business in East Tennessee.? -

I had originally planned to operate it as sole proprietorship, because it was the easiest way to go. Now I am wondering if I should run it as an LLC or some other type of entity.

I would almost always recommend operating as an LLC. As a sole propreitorship, you are opening yourself up to unlimited liability. I work with entrepreneurs and investors exclusively on entity formation and asset protection strategies. If you need assistance, let me know.

Question about selling things on ebay (shipping)? -

say someone wins the auction and i get the email with there adress. i have a flat rate box from the post office. how to i print a shipping label? if i bring it to the post office will they do it for me?

You can print it on your own home printer, or you can just write the address on the box with a pen or a marker. There s no specific label that you *must* use.

Im starting an ebay shop what do i do to advertise? -

basically im waiting for some orders to come through.. then i will be starting an ebay shop selling tongue bars for 1.50 each! They are all brand new btw! So how can i spread the word around? because i have looked around on the internet and the cheapest one i can find is 1.99 - 2.99 ish, so i think i will have a good business, how can i advertise this little business when i start it up, thanks!!

Advertise in tattoo and peircing magazines/websites....posters/flyers the usual stuff really.

Don t open an ebay store.Just advertise a few using regular auctions. When I go into eBay right now and type tongue bar, I get 572 listings. *None* of these are from eBay stores as those *only* show up on a search if there are less than 30 hits from reguarly auctions. So if you had a store, you d pay $16 a month, place the auctions and get zero sales. If would be cheaper to pay for a listing that might actually get seen.

Write a blog about your ebay store and bookmark it in several locations like facebook, myspace, blogspot, Digg and other sites.

Which is the best site for earning? -

All the sites i tried were scams. if any one knows plz help me, am in the wrong direction of searching..

www.athomeopps.com is the site I used when I was trying to make some cash online. They list a bunch of different companies that pay people to work from home.

Can anyone suggest me some genuine web sites for online data entry? -

Firstly, I am looking for websites which provide free data entry job. In addition, I would like the sites who allows to do job from any part of the world. It would be nice if someone with practical experience with certain suchlike websites can guide me.

There are no sites that can make you money in any significant way.You really should go and review the many hundreds of questions asked in this forum - usually about 20 times a day - that ask for web sites to make money from. The scam answers have usually been reported by that time, so that only the wise answers remain to be read. Do this - it will be so much more clear for you.

I want to start making money with Clickbank, and other company and they recommend I get a tax id.? -

1.How does a solo tax id cost?2. Do I have to pay taxes if I make $5000 in one year?I m a full time student in college and my mother pay taxes.

For most people, your tax ID is your social security number. Use that. If you don t have one, go to the IRS website irs.gov and fill out the paperwork to get an ID.You probably do not need to pay tax if your total income is $5,000. But it is often smart to file a Form 1040 anyway. Then the IRS knows everything about you. And if there are any future rebates from the government, they know where to mail yours. When you receive income from some companies they want an IRS Form W-9. YOu can get them online. Easy to fill out.You won t have to pay tax on $1,000.

You get a tax ID by applying for one with the IRS. It is free. You do have to pay Federal income tax unfortunately, however it is only 10% if you make $5000 in a year. You pay it when you file your tax return by April 15.

Where do ebay/paypal refunds come from? -

When you go through paypal to make a claim to get your money back for an item not received and the seller does respond, paypal will wait until a certain point and then review the case. If the seller doesn t respond, you get a refund. Where does the money come from? Does paypal take it by force from the seller or does it come from the paypal company?

yes - paypal takes it by force.

What do record labels do and what do distribution deals do? -

Record labels do a range of different things now - traditionally they would be in charge of paying for the production of an artists songs, and then they distribute the music and take a percentage of sales.Try reading The Musician s Guide To World Domination, that has a whole section on record labels and explains it really well.www.themusiciansguide.co.ukHope this helps

It s very satisfying and rewarding, AND a great investment because you are making RESIDUAL income! I KNOW with all my heart that I will be a lifetime team member! Partnering with this company does NOT involve selling products, purchasing inventory/samples, or going door-to-door---nothing like that! When you get started, you get a free web site, free training, and amazing ongoing support! It doesn t cost much to get started (a very reasonable amount to start your own business). It is not a get rich quick scheme...you have to take some time to build your business but you can make a pretty significant income over time! I love the fact that this is legit business, with very ethical and moral business practices, that thrives on helping people reach their goals! If you d like to learn more, jot me a quick email and/or send your phone #, and I ll get back to you ASAP! :-)

You most definitely can start a hoe business, as long as you are diligent and serious. A home business can be a great way to earn money without a boss, set hours, or long commute. There are many business models (types of businesses) that you can start online, so you will have to settle on one of them and then see where it takes you. Along the way, the most popular distraction will be the many offers of people who will try to sell you their latest and greatest new product or launch. These are the big name gurus who will be selling you one thing or another. Look out for them, and keep your focus.I have a few ideas in my resource link, which will be useful for you. This will help you to start your home business without too much risk, so you can learn as you go.I wish you all the best in your home business.
