Can i get my schooling for a realtor license online ? -

As I know, this site has top listing of such college courses online - colleges.mywebcommunity.org

u can; your state will have a list on line for authorized schools.i suggest you use those ONLY for RENEWAL hours requiredevery year after you are licensed.for pre-license ed, attend a private RE school--1,000% better!and make sure you absolutely understand whatfiduciary is--cause that is 85% of what Real estate salesis all about.

You have to check with your state s Department of Real Estate to learn the requirements and to find out which correspondence schools/courses are eligible for credit with the Department.

Why Does Purina support illegal business? -

One of their Dealers in St. James City Florida is an illegal business. The property owner enclosed a pole barn without permits, poured a driveway on county property and called it a store without legal zoning, permitting or even a license to do business! Why is Purina supporting this illegal entity? With the economy as tight as it is, how dare they support illegal business that will take from the legal licensed dealerships in the area! Don t believe it, check out Lee County Florida zoning and code enforcement public records showing the violations for the property owner. You can find the dealership under the purina mills web site under zip code 33956.

Purina is a manufacturer and probably has 10,000 resellers. There s no way they can completely police their resellers. Report them to the Police and to Purina if you think they are doing something illegal. The fact that they are starting a business right now is something to be commended.

I want to start a small business opening my own hairdressing got the skills i need but dont have the money? -

Since I did my gcse i went to college doing an intro course in hairdressing and an just finished an advanced and worked part time as a trainee hairdresser and luckily moved up each year as a professional hairdresser. I am now 19 and really wish to open up my own. iv researched the Market and have the right skills to manage and train two girls aged 16 but I want to move outfrom the current hairdresser I am in. Iv analysed swot analysis on competitors etc. But I m only 19 how the hell am I gonna get the money for capital, rent, council tax etc. I could get grants but I can t just set up the hairdresser with just a grant. I could save up but my salary cant cover the cost for even a year for capital. It could take up years to save. I v not got plans to go uni. Shall I wait until I have money? My uncle is an accountant and my aunt runs her own pottery cafe got good tips from them but they can t give me money. Plus my Aunt is in the brink of bankrupt

As a small business owner, you ll struggle to get a bank loan unless you can put some of your own money up frontYou certainly sound as if you have done your homeworkWhy not speak to Business Gateway, number in the phone book, as sometimes they ll support young people towards their first own business orWhy not become a mobile hairdresser meantime, as that will keep your costs down but you ll still have your own small business.

you could be working in a curent hairdressers for now, and start saving up in your bank, and start thinking of properties while doing your current job, then take it further step by step, dont give up.

Can anyone give me some small business advice? -

I am 27 and I have a passion for baking. My sister is quite a cook as well. I have been thinking a lot (meaning for the past couple of years)about how much I would enjoy owning a bakery. There aren t that many bakeries in the town I live in (Norman,OK). Which is why I would really like to run one. A bakery that can have an edge as well as cater to the sweets lovers, and the vegans, and organic folks. I don t have professional experience and I have heard sometimes banks do look at that when considering a small business loan. Can anyone out there maybe help me with some tools and references so I can really take a serious look at this possibility? I would appreciate it.

I would stay clear of an SBA loan. The rates are very high, you would be better off self funding. I would suggest trying it out of your home before incurring the overhead of a bakery. I knew someone who baked custom cakes out of their home for birthday parties and other special events. I would start by doing something like that. Then once you have a loyal following and some revenues to show for it, you will be in a stronger position to get a bank loan (at reasonable rates). Good luck...

I recommend that you review this flowchart for small business loans - it gives information about what you need at each step.

If you can startup with your own money, it is the best way to go. However, if you need to ask for a loan, then you need to write an excellent and thorough business plan to present to a bank. Since you will be a new business, you will need to include a lot of research in yoru business plan. A business plan of 10 pages will NOT cut it. Expect it to be 30 pages + if it is done right. Since it will take you a while to write it, I highly suggest going to a library and checking out some of the books they have there on business plans. Experience is not necessary, but a plus, however if you do your homework right, it will pay off.

Is chris butler@fortebuilder.com a scam work at home business? -

they keep sending me emails for a home based work need more info about them

I ve had 2 people pitch this to me in the past couple of months. Is it a scam? No, I don t thing so. But it appears to me to be a model designed to feed off of its own sales reps. You buy product from the company. You buy marketing from the company. You buy advertising from the company. You buy leads from the company.Pretty much anything that you want to do involves giving more money to the company and that s a red flag to me.Additional red flags went up when, (in the presentation), very little time was spent talking about the products and a great deal of time was spent talking about recruiting.I didn t take them on because they did not appear to offer anything unique and I ve seen too many businesses like this go down in a very short time.Hope this helps....

I don t know but these people are anti scam and have good references, articles, and good ideas on home business. Be careful http://workathometruth.com/top-10-home-b

Are there any home based business were i can make money at least 200 to 300 weekly without any start up cost? -

I have hundreds of friends and associates. None of the guys/girls have ever made any money on these on line ventures. If they would have they would be talking about it and I would be in on it..SCAM

There are legitimate ways to make money online. But there are also scams...Don t fall for the get-rich-quick opportunities.I have found that many people label online opportunities as scams, because they do not know how to market their product(s).Affiliate Marketing requires no start up costs, and you can Advertise for free. Traffic, which is created through Advertising, is a Must, in anything you do online. If you are interested in finding companies listed with the BBB or you d like to learn how to market online, check out EMG s website!Good luck!

data entry is bullshit. surveys are bullshit. Affiliate Marketing is legit. Start a blog, and write some good content, and soon enough you will have visitors to it. Then you can put up some adsense ads or affiliate offers to make some money. Its not as quick and easy as most people say, they just want you to buy their ****. So everyone that put their website in their answer is hoping that you will buy what they are selling. But then again, Yahoo answers can bring a lot of traffic if you know what you are doing. my website is www.moneymakingusa.com, along with a few others. I just put that there to show you what affiliate marketing basically is. All of those links on those reviews are affiliate links, so I would get some profit if someone signed up. The one resource i really do honestly recommend is www.wealthyaffiliate.com. Thats not even an affiliate link, so I will make no profit what so ever if you sign up. Check out www.warriorforum.com ...its free. and there is a lot of good information on it.

I have found a good guide that helps me make 600-800 a month on ebayits at www.auctionmillionaire.net I was making 30-50 a month until i got this. Its not a business its a guide with a lot of tips and secrets of the ebay powersellers. It depends if ebay is of interest to you if it is this is really worth a look

I need 1000 dolllars in 4 days, what can i do to earn that? -

You could go to the bank and see if you can get a loan, or maybe if you have high valuables in your home, you can pawn them.

1. Sell anything you own that s of value (jewellery etc.) - but make sure you shop around to compare from people will give you for it2. If you are currently employed, ask your employer if you can work extra hours3. Take on a second job in the evening in a bar/restaurant4. Pick up a cloth and bucket, and head out to clean cars, windows, anything that anyone will may you for5. Avoid taking on more debt at all costs - it s an extremely inefficient way of running your life as you always have to pay someone else back FAR MORE than you ever borrowed

Try some free classifieds sites to see if anyone wants to buy some things that you have. You can also try www.kangarichloans.com. Good luck - I hope you can do it!

I want to make organic make-up and sell it..? -

Do I need a Business license to do this? I want to make it myself and sell it..

you need all SORTS of things to do this aside from just a license ... first of all we don t know what country you re in, so we don t know which laws apply to you, but.. if you re in the states, you will need to have all sorts of permits, safety measures in your laboratory , pay fees to the government, have it approved as safe for human consumption and all sorts of stuff.. If you re going to put something on a person s body, you need to pay a lot of money to have the products verified as safe to use. you can t just start mixing stuff up in your bathroom sink, throw it in bottles and put it on the shelf at the grocery store. I know that is a fact, but... i don t know where to begin. i think realistically you could probably get away with doing it for a little while, but you ll need to make enough money quickly to be able to afford to pay the stuff when they catch you. that s not the best way to do business. it s better to do the research first and take care of the things before they come to YOU. let s say you have all of that in place.... the next thing you need to do is set up a limited liability company, then learn the specific differences between that and a sole proprietorship. then you need to put those things into action so you have true limited liability -which helps you in case your business fails or if you get sued. honestly a corporation is probably the BEST way to go but it costs more than you ll be making at first so not worth it immediately. once you have the LLC, you need to set up a bank account.. you need an accountant to help you handle your money. you may say i m good with money but... unless you know what a form K does then you need an accountant. one that will help with your business taxes, figure out gains and losses, business expenses vs personal, etc etc etc etc.. as far as the product yourself, you ll need to figure out how to get the supplies as cheaply as possible and how to turn a profit on them. you will need an advertising campaign (several) in order to get the word out there for your products. you will need to pay people to make the products and put them in containers and get ready for sale.. all said and done, you re looking at spending i m going to guess 15k per month between hiring 2 minimum wage employees, paying yourself, having an office, paying taxes, and all of the other crap that you have to do.... there are about a hundred things i m not listing here that you will need to pay monthly. long story short, it may COST you $7 to make 1 piece of product..... it may cost you 10... how much can you sell it for at WHOLESALE? if you sell to a retailer, they may SELL that product for $10 which means you re taking a loss by selling it to them for 5.... you re losing 50% at that rate... what i m saying i guess is... if you want to do this the right way and actually make a viable business out of it, you re going to need a LOT of start up capital, and a LOT of knowledge... you can start small, like maybe with a few thousand dollars and work from home for a while, but eventually you ll need to spend money to make money... i m mostly worried about all the crap you ll have to go through to legally sell makeup to the public though. and like i said, i don t know where to start. there are a lot of other aspects to this that i haven t gotten into, but this is a lot of info to start with.. good luck

yes, you need to start a full company with all business licensing and more, and there are strict regulations with cosmetics. visit www.cpsc.gov on all the government regulations that are required for cosmetics, including ingredient limits, testing, certification and more. it is not easy, but it is possible.

How does one inexpensively get trademark a company name and get a patent on a product? -

Hello. I am beginning a small business. I would like to trademark the name. And I have an idea that I would like to patent, as well. How do you get a patent on an idea/design and trademark a name without paying $100 s of dollars? I am a college student and any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!

The short answer to your question is: You don t. That said, you can file your business name with the state government agency in your area that records business names. That keeps others from copying it. And, you can file a provisional patent application that protects your idea for one year with the U.S. Patent Office. A regular patent application and it s LONG process takes 3 years and costs around $4000. Sorry, no short-cuts.For free and confidential business advice go to: www.score.org. A SCORE counselor in your area can help you with your planning process and it s all FREE!Good Luck!

How to start a video game store? -

Its always been my dream to start my own store selling everything from computer games, xbox games, ps2 and 3 games, the works. Also, I wanted to also have the option to purchase games from customers, (kind of like the modern day Gamestop). However, theres a few things I needed help on. First off, I have plenty of games to start selling, but yet I dont know how to get started. I would love a detailed list explaining how to get started and stay going, *the longer the better* but theres a few conditions I need.1. In the state of North Carolina, do you need a permit/license to start a business?2. Could I start somewhere free and close to home/in home without renting out an entire shop?If there are ANY other variables that I didnt mention, feel free to add them to your answer. If you could, I would love to be able to take one of the answers I get, follow the guidelines, and be able to get at least a little business! And like always, thanks to those who answer.

a) You ALWAYS need a permit/license to start a business, if only to pay taxesb) You will need to get a reseller / retail permit as well, to pay sales tax and suchc) You have plenty ? A couple dozen is NOT plenty. Even a couple hundred. Got any friends in Gamestop and such? Have them just let you take a peek in their backroom used for storage. d) Did you do any research into LAWS that may affect you yet? If you buy used games, do you fall under the pawn shop law ? (In CA, pawn shops have to hold the object for at least 2 weeks to ascertain the material isn t stolen. At least one EB/Gamestop ran afoul of this rule when someone unloaded a used console and a dozen games on them. Later, detectives traced the goods to EB, informed them they were stolen, but they have already resold most of the stuff, and did NOT hold the stuff for 2 weeks as law required.)http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/04/30/e) You can do mail order from your home, but you probably cannot do retail as your home is in residential zone. You ll need to figure out where is a suitable retail locationf) Write a business plan. There are software specifically for this, or you can download free templates online. You will need one to get a loan from the bank. g) if you have any employees, then labor laws are involved. Any research into that? or do you plan to work there 24/7? Research, research, and more research. Nothing wrong with dreaming, but you can t make it a reality with dream alone. It s all in the execution.

Is the a legitimate work from home job opportunity that is not a scam? -

Nope they are all scams. If they really work all the millions of people that are out of work and losing their homes would be doing them. They just rip you off.HELP STOP SPAMClick on the report abuse button on all spam messages. If two or more people report them it get deleted. A thumbs down does nothing

To answer your question- Yes.To answer your question with more depth I have to tell you about my experienceThe company I am working with is work from home based, there are quite a few people making a good legal living doing it.You have to do lots of research to find a good one, took me about three years of searching (not constant, just every once in a while I would search). We have free training and free support for the life time of your business- which most business will not do, and believe me its important when you start to have someone to help you get started. What sold me was the twenty four years in business, the BBB awards, no required stock to buy and sell, and the near billion dollars they made in 2008 in sales.Remember to research the companies from top to bottom before you jump in. Also this is not easy, you have to push yourself because no one else will.Good luck,Guard5a

There are very few home jobs that are not a scam.Child care and tutoring are the only two that come to mind.Other (conventional) jobs may allow you to work from home a few days a week).

Looking to start my own label. Help ? -

I have a bit of cash stashed up and i m trying to start my own label. Pretty much, my thought is to sign local bands up, help them distribute their albums by paying for the studio time and/or making cd s to sell online or at shows. How can i do that by just working mainly at home ? (since i m still a uni student) (act scouting would be done at shows, of course)

First, you need to hire a law firm to create a contract form for you. When you sign the deal with the band, this will be the contract you want to have ready to be signed. You will also need to learn how to copyright the music, lyrics, and songs. Then you need to find a studio to record in and figure the best way to produce the CDs in mass quantities. Develop a website to advertise the CDs and figure out a method of payment (credit card or Paypal?). Do not be afraid to to market local stores to see if they want to sell the CDs (figure a wholesale price so the store can make money). Then you need to get the website noticed. If you can do that effectively, you might want to quit the record industry and sell your methods to all the other punters out there.

How do you make an online store? -

please help!

That s not an easy one to answer.Do you have an existing website and want to add a store or are you starting from scratch? if so would recommend storebuilder. You need a way of securely taking payments etc.It makes a big difference.Starting from scratch I would recommend Paypal at the other URL below.

Not sure what kind of store you re looking for, but I ve found Zazzle and it s great for merchandise. You have to use their stuff, but you can upload your own designs.

My sister and I want to sell our old clothing on a free website online. (We ll take care of the marketing around our college campuses.) Are there legal issues we should be aware of? Do we need a business license or some kind of selling certificate? Do we have to pay/charge tax? We have no plans to have our business name trademarked yet.Personal experience would be awesome.

As long as you are doing for yourself, like selling your own stufff, then its legal but if you want to do it as a source of income, then you need to register it as a business.Great place for people to sell and market their clothing business is myclozet, the service is provided for free. The idea is draw out a league were everybody fights 3 times against somebody and eventually it will come down to one person being the winner and he gets a cash prize from like fourth or a half of the entry fees. I think it will have mass appeal and I already have rules about what is classified a kill shot and such what. but how do I get it started cuz I don t have a clue??By safe I mean padded weapons like a padded sword or a padded axe etc, but don t get me wrong there will still most likely be bruising and blood. What do I have to do to get this started?

Sorry. The first rule of Fight Club is, you do not talk about Fight Club.

How would you market yourself? -

I have been a personal trainer for years but have only been doing it occasionally on the side for the past 3 or 4 years. Now I am at the point where I am ready to start making a living at it again. I have access to a small personal training studio that I will be training in, but I am 100% responsible for building my own clientele. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to market myself so as to generate business? By the way, I think I am really good at what I do if it makes a difference.

When marketing yourself, think of yourself as the product and what you can do as the service. The process of marketing yourself includes:Define your mission and the benefits you offer : * Start with self knowledge: natural talents (aptitudes), interests, personality and values * Consider what role fits you best. * Ask yourself, What do I have to offer? * Set your objective: What exactly do you want to achieve? * Design performance measures * Gather analyze, and interpret information about your situation

I would choose from 1 to 3 specialized market segments, for instance pregnant women, or busy executives, or woman executives. Gear your promotion specifically to those few groups.

I want to open my own Performing Arts School, is it a good time to do this in the current market? -

How hard is to start a small business today? and is a performing arts school profitable?

Before you dance your way into your community s heart, there are two significant cross-currents in this economy that are worth paying attention to:First, of course, is that consumers are worried about their careers and aren t in the mood to commit to major new spending. We ll know a lot more in the coming months as the holiday spending season shapes up, but it looks like a slow-growth Christmas and 2010. That means you would be competing for a share of a non-growing pie. If you chose to do this, you would need to build a serious business plan that would include losing money for at least 18 months to 2 years. The flip-side is equally fascinating, though. Recessions are times when people fold back to those who matter most to them, meaning their family and friends. And they look for ways to improve the quality of life for those people (as well as themselves). So, if you could tap into the market for self-improvement and family growth, you might have something. One other point: Retail space hasn t been this cheap in years. If you were to negotiate hard for a space, you could likely get a great location. As you build your business plan, you will need to take a cold, hard look at whether the school would be perceived as a must-have or a nice-to-have. If it s the latter, you d better make sure you have plenty of pre-paid clients before you open your doors.

Running a Vet Office/Hospital..Becoming A Vet? -

It has always been my dream to Run a Vet Office or Hospital, But of course i want it to be successful. I am not a Vet but I am a vet/technician/assistant. I have considered going to school to be a vet, But was wondering if That would make my business more profitable, considering I want to be very involved in running my business. Also, any tips from people who have done this... Suggestions, things they had to learn the hard way, even simple money saving tips would be great, thanks and no negativity!

In many states you cannot own a veterinary practice unless you are a licensed veterinarian, so if you are intending to own a practice you need to check the laws in your state. You may be able to get around this by owning and providing the facilities and staff while a veterinarian actually owns the practice. But you would need to have the capital to purchase an appropriate building, diagnostic equipment, hospital cages, surgical equipment, exam room equipment, etc etc etc. If you simply want to get into a management position, you can go a couple of different routes--Certified Veterinary Practice Manager or a degree in veterinary technology that focuses on management. You say you are a veterinary technician/assistant, so I m assuming that you are not a credentialed veterinary technician. (There is a difference is those two titles) Therefore if you went the degree route (which I would say is actually the best option as a bachelors degree is going to look much better on your resume and give you other options for what to do while you look for that management position) you would need to enroll in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology degree program and earn you Associates degree and then work towards your bachelor s degree focusing on practice management. St. Petersburg College offers this bachelor s degree program and there is even a special scholarship for people who are following the management track. You can find information on it at their website: http://www.spcollege.edu/hec/vt/index.ht There are more than 20 colleges that offer a bachelor s degree program in veterinary technology, so you do have choices as to what college to attend. However, if you really aren t into the veterinary technology stuff this option really might not fit you.St. Petersburg veterinary technology website: http://www.spcollege.edu/hec/vt/index.htwww.avma.org/AVMA website with a list of all bachelors degree programs: http://www.avma.org/education/cvea/vetteThe Certified Veterinary Practice Manager s program is offered through the Veterinary Hospital Manager s Association. It requires that you currently be employed in a management position in a veterinary hospital and that you have 18 hours of college credits in management related topics and 48 hours of continuing education in hospital management related topics in order to apply. http://www.vhma.org/displaycommon.cfm?an

What type of entity should I choose for my small business in MA? -

I am helping my father get a service business going. I am having trouble deciding on what type of business to start. I have likely ruled out proprietorship and partnership, due to the unlimited liability associated. I now seem to be looking at an S Corp, LLC, etc. I am told an S Corp will have more difficult filing requirements, and different requirements on how we can distribute income. Some flexibility in that department would be nice. I will probably have the business in my name, but would like a majority of the income to go to my father. Can anyone help me decide what my options may be, the pros and cons, and tax implications involved? THANKS!

The variables are too great to be able to make any recommendation other than the logical one. Contact an accountant and sit down with them to analyze your fathers risk tolerance, current financial situation and future financial needs.

Can I make a living building and selling yurts? -

its possible - but most likely not.yurts are very complex and you have to skin animals in order to get the animal fur unless you buy it . but still..i would use that as a living.

Probably not - there isn t a lot of demand

What is the best bank/checking account for a small business? -

I am starting a book publishing company. It s small, no employees, just myself. I have 2 clients and plan to sell the books online. What s the best bank to do business with, and the best biz checking account they offer, considering the small scale of business? Want one that does not have a high monthly fee or require a large daily balance, and preferably with a bank with locations nationwide. I am located in Washington, DC. Thanks.

The interesting thing about banks is they all have special promotions at different times. What you really want to have is one that will allow you to pay bills on-line without extra charges. One that allows you to have multiple deposits into your account and low charges for any bounced customer checks. You will also want to set up a separate savings account so you can transfer funds into it to pay your taxes and use for overdraft protection. This will keep you bank happy. I would look for one close to you business or home so you don t have to go out of your way other than that most of them are pretty much the same. I use Wells Fargo. Hope this helps Good luck with your business.

Is there a way to find out what offices/companies use Open Office? -

I was wondering if you know any offices or companies that opt for Open Office instead of MS Office. And have your offices/companies been thinking about eschewing MS Office for Open Office due to the economy? I know maybe small offices are more able to do this.

Don t know anyone who uses it, businesses usually prefer to use tested software rather than experiment with software that is new and not so common.

What do businesses do with the loans they receive from banks? -

That depends on why they were loaned the money. For small business owners, the money is normally used to get the business started- buying inventory, equipment, paying rent and utilities, buying advertising. For established companies, the money is normally used to pay for improvements (better equipment or possibly new properties (corporate headquarters building or new manufacturing plants).Occasionally, a business will have to borrow money to stay in business. Then the money goes to pay creditors, buy required inventory and employee wages.

Hello Dear,I saw your question and I decided to inform you on how i got my loan credit from Ultimate Lenders. I am Mrs. Rose Smart, six months ago my only son took ill, he wasdiagnosed of a heart disease, i was told by the insurance company, thatmy insurance won t cover my sons medical care.As a mother, i was devastated, owing to the fact that i just lost my husband a few years ago, so i started looking for money, because myjob was not paying enough to cover my son s bill, i looked for help fromfamily and friends but there was non coming, i went to the bank and was told that, they could not grant me a loan, because i had nocollateral. Finally, just as i gave up hope on lenders on the Net because ofscams, i met a lady chaitu from China who told me of Mr. Frank Smith, i tried him and he gave a loan for $80,000usd, today my baby boy is doingwell, i am not telling you this for you to feel sorry for me, rather iam telling you so that you can help me thank him and if you are ever in need of a loan you can contact him via e-mail:ultimate.lenders@yahoo.comThanks for reading my testimony, and God bless all the good people.Best regards,Mrs. Rose

depends on WHY they asked for the loans in the first place - 50 different possible reasons

How can I buy stuffs at the bookfair without letting my mom knows I took my money? -

My mom doesn t let me buy anymore stuff at the bookfair. But I have lots of things I also wanted to buy!!!!!

i believe that bookfairs are a scam cause you can just check out a book from library and when ur done with it you return itP.S. i dont like to say your public library because for me its feels kind of gay saying public and library together :(

Buying stuff at a book fair funds terrorism and slave trades and drug activity and pornography and circuses.Your mom is right to not let you buy stuff from a book fair. She would be completely morally bankrupt to allow such a preposterous thing. Why not just watch TV instead?

If You Own A P.O. Box and Someone Mails You A Letter, But By Accident They Put They Wrong Name,? -

But The Right P.O. Box Address, Would The Post Office Still Put The Envelope In Your P.O. Box?

the postal policy is if you know where it goes then you deliver it. good chance it will go into the box listed on the envelope but with a question mark by the name. that way you can let the postmaster know if someone new or different is in the box. every attempt is made to deliver every piece of mail.

What should I do for this? -

I have been debating about this for awhile. I own a newly established business that does business cards for new up and coming small businesses. I want to tell my customers that I outsource some of my work to an online printing company (vistaprint.com). I want to tell my customers, but I don t want to make my customers feel like I m cheating them.

What you re doing is subcontracting. You are attempting to operate in a more efficient manner. If this type of decision is made properly, you re serving your clientle better. Making responsible business decisions isn t cheating.

I used to be a printing consultant. I would source out new customers and then send the artwork to a printer that I felt would do the best job. I had a guy who worked at home, in his garage that would do basic flyer s and business cards (laser print). I had a printer who did full colour business cards with laminated fronts and I had another printer who did cards that were different paper textures ad gold print. I prepared most of the artwork and it is not anyone s business but yours as to how the work is done. As long as the customer is invoiced by you, you do not need to reveal your sources. If you do tell your clients, they might go direct to your source and bypass you and your commission. You are not cheating ayone unless you categorically state that all work done is done in-house and by you. Most businesses expect that some work may be out-sourced. I don t think they really care where the work is done as long as you provide a good service and a good price for them.I always put in a free card holder or wallet, just as a freebie. Oh, that was back in the mid-nineties, by the way.

just try saying: here we use vistaprint.com to help advance the quality of our products if you have any questions ask the manager, or what ever position you are.

What do i major in if i wanted to start up my own hvac business? -

what would be the best major for me if i wanted to start up my own hvac business? Some people say Business Administration or Business management and some say entrepreneurship and accounting. Which major do you think would help me the most? thank you for your answers.

If you do not have a background in the trades, I suggest mechanical engineering with a minor in business. If you do, then the most general business degree would be the best. You are going to want to pick up classes in accounting, human resources, marketing, financial management.

How to open my store on EBAY? -

I m trying to open a store but it s not seem to be working.I have accumulated 8 positive feedbacks. What are the conditions, I seem to be missing something.I have my business number and Tax paper in my hand if ebay needs em.Any wise ebayer out there can help me out?

I would recommend establishing yourself a bit more. You don t need to have any tax papers to open an ebay store. But you need to have 20 feedback or be ID verified(i think its $5)http://ebaysellerreview.blogspot.com/

Do you really need an eBay store? The pros:Lower insertion feesThe store sign might give some buyers a sense that you are a good sellerThe cons:Monthly feesHigher Final Value FeesLess visibility (store listings don t show up on search unless less 10 regular items are displayed, so don t expect nearly as many views)So, unless you have an inventory with 100 s of items that don t sell quickly (and even then I am not sure it would be a good idea), I strongly recommend against it. Ebay Stores was an idea that never really worked all that well. Then, they decided to lower insertion fees to $.35 for most regular items and now Ebay Stores is now superflous.

What do i do when i cant recover my for renting a business place? -

i rented a business place in march 2008 and left it in october 2008 and now i can t get back my deposit money what should i do?

If you had a lease, you will probably not get your deposit back. It has been applied to unpaid rent, and they may be coming after you for the rest unless they got another tenant or you had an early termination agreement with the landlord. If you were on a month-to-month lease, the deposit would have been used to repair any damages that were other than normal wear and tear. If they are not returning your deposit, you need to ask them for an accounting of what they spent and had fixed. If anything was due to normal wear and tear, they should not be allowed to deduct for that.If after all this you feel you are still owed money and they are refusing to pay, you can take them to small claims court.

tell me which bank you are ati had the same problem like ursmy account has in hsbc and they where not helpfulu need to be really tough on em

What is best company to use for a business loan? -

What is best company to use for a business loan?I have no credit and am building it. Me and 2 other partners have just started a business and are very successful at the business. I don t have any credit and they have poor credit. We are trying to get a loan to increase our inventory and stay alive in this business. We have tried multiple companies and have been rejected by each one. Does anyone know a good company we can use? If you need more details just ask.

Usually bankers are the same and you can t get a loan if you have a bad or no credit score. however, if you provide the banker with a complete business plan and projected Income then they may look into it. The other option is to get a government loan which is more preferable as it has low interest rate.try www.business.govThe last option is to seek private loans which is easy but usually the lender asks high interest rate or even wants to be a partner in the business.I hope this helps and wish you a good luck.

Moving an S Corporation from Florida to New York. Should I register as a foreign corporation or dissolve it? -

I am moving from Florida to New York and have an S corporation with 1 employee (myself). The company was incorporated in Florida a few years back. The company has yet to make any profit, but that will change as of Jan 1, 2010. Should I register to do business as a foreign corporation in NY or dissolve the corporation altogether? I believe there is a tax free reorganization option as well. Just trying to see what makes the most sense financially (and tax wise), as Florida has traditionally been business friendly.

First, find out what the consequences are of registering a Florida corporation as a foreign corporation in NY. Knowing New York, there is sure to be some tax implication.

What is missing from our high streets? -

High streets in city centres are full of novelty shops, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, takeaways etc. What type of shop do we really need/want to see on the street?

Ironmongers!! Small Greengrocers and fruitiers. Independent Butchers Bakers and Chemists. Toolshops, Bicycle shops, Hatters, proper clothes shops......... all the kinds of shops which have disappeared over the last 25+ years.

Coffee shops with legal marijuana and brothels full of prostitutes.

I wish there were more proper good old haberdashery/craft shops around these days, it s so hard to find a good one any more.

Savvy smal shopkeepers who fight for trade rather than moaning about the tesco up the road.

dee aint really anything that we dont already have

What it is is that I would email you a link that you would email to all your contacts with a special code that they must use at checkout. At the end of the e-Party you would get 10% of the sales or you can use that toward Avon purchases. It s up to you. It s a good way to make extra money for yourself and requires little work. Just thought I would throw that out there as an idea. Contact me for more info if you d like.

Alot of legitimate ways to make money online can be found on the internet. Sadly, most of them are fake and illegitimate.if you want to earn money online, do it as hobby,if you do it just for the money, then you probably won t earn a cent, that s a fact.Nowadays, many people even consider all internet money making online oppourtunities from home as nothing but scams because of the rampant cases of fraud that are reported in this area.It is however worth noting that it is still possible to find legitimate work from home opportunities. If you really want to find one, then you should just be careful.

Just follow each and every step...http://www.kjwealthplan.comYou may feel like skipping something so you can get moving faster. Don t do this! Be patient, follow our guides (they exist for a reason) and recognize that anything worthwhile is not built in a day, a week, or even a few months! If you want to be here a year from now, with a business that is growing exponentially, you have to pay close attention to the foundation of that buisness, and make sure you do it right. You will have moments when you feel there is just way to much to learn and that you don t have the time to learn it because you need money NOW! Don t fall into that trap. We have over the years and it will lead to nothing but you having to continuously start over. The first thing you need to recognize is that we did not learn how to be great marketers over night. We didn t and you WON T. Great marketers and entrepreneurs are CREATED...MADE...they are forged in the field.Get the idea of instant success out of your head now. We worked our butts off and you will have to as well.Just don t let your current lack of knowedge in this industry keep you from starting. Every step forward is a positive step. You do not need to know how to do everything to get started.Entrepreneurs know that they are going to learn most of their business while they are building it.Just about every aspect of your business and this industry will be learned as you are doing it. This is just how it all works. No matter how prepared you are, no matter how much you study and learn, nothing can take the place of the raw power of DOING IT.

What is the best POS system for a small resale shop? -

If it s small, do you really NEED a POS system? Perhaps all you need is a good inventory book and a cash register.EDIT: Have you LOOKED at how much a QuickBooks POS system costs? Basic with hardware is about $1250!! (search through Yahoo or Froogle and see for yourself). That doesn t even include the setup fee if you hire someone to do it, or the time you must spend to train yourself. Frankly, unless you can actually JUSTIFY such an expenditure, I d say forget it. You can computerize SOME of the operation, like accounting (in which case, just QuickBooks is enough), but I don t see why you d need a POS system for a one-person shop (or even a three-person shop).

Get Quickbooks POS by Dell or am HP see link below. Quickbooks POS is a must if you what access to report data and monthly, yearly reports and makes financial statement simpler. You can also barcode your inventory and have access to credit card, Debit cards and gift cards. Good luck

none.use a used cash register and keep little in it.

How would i get my money back from rewardsnow.co.uk scam artists ? -

i signed up for a free credit score with quickcreditscore.co.uk and they needed my card details to verify who i was, then charged me 40 pounds in total 20 for a credit score that didnt even work and 20 for a subscription to rewardsnow.co.uk i dont have a clue what that is !!!

This is rewardsnows contact info: Adaptive Affinity Ltd Cavendish House 369 Burnt Oak Broadway Edgware, Middlesex HA8 5AW United KingdomAs they are a UK Ltd company, they could be legit - I suggest you write to them (recorded delivery) and explain your problem (or get local Trading Standards to do it for you)

Talk to quickcreditscore, and alert your card company to the fact that you didn t authorise the charges. I assume you cancelled your account within the 10 days allowed so that you wouldn t be charged. If not, you will probably not get your 20 back but you may get the rewardsnow money back.

call your credit card company and ask to cancle the charges, most will say you have to pay the fee s already inured but that they will stop the future charges.

you usually don t get your money back from scam artists - it just winds up being an expensive learning process

call your bbb about company. then your credit card co. have them delete all charges.

Is bestworksite@rapidmile.com a real work from home company? -

Website for selling on line? -

ready to start selling on line

ebay.com

It really depends on the type of products (or services) you want to sell. You didn t mention that here. For auction sites, I recommend Amazon, eBay or Overstock. For handcrafted items, try Etsy or ArtFire. If you want to create your own site with a custom domain name, there are literally hundreds of web hosting providers that also offer packages with attractive templates and shopping carts. You ll need a shopping cart to categorize your products and allow your customers to search by keyword, then pay online.

NEW CARD DEALER wants to get financing for customers to buy cars? -

brand new car dealer and am having difficult time finding a way to get my customers financed so they can buy my vehicles

Last time I checked, a card dealer works in a casino. If you didn t have any help from the financing side, like association with local lenders, how did you start as a dealer? Not everyone deals in cash, you know...---Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II daysHard work pays off later. Laziness pays off now.

I need some serious advice on my family small business? -

my Dad owns it and I run it with his help. He is very ill right now and not sure the prognosis yet or time he will be able, IF EVER, to come back and do his part. Been at it over 25 years and I am beside myself with fear and not knowing what to do? He did all the taxes and major decision making. Business is slow too and we are struggling on top of his illness.Any advice or calming words would sure help me at this time....Thanks.

Best wishes and luck to you and your family. While at times the world can seem to be a place where one s faith in oneself and family can be severely challenged, and faith in God, whatever his name may be, is tested, just keep in mind, it is only a test. You are still you, and you must keep the faith that things will work out, and you are meant to learn more about yourself and others from each test. May you persevere and triumph. You must have learned a LOT during these years you worked at it. You have to pick up the reins and keep it going. When in doubt, just think, What would he have done? If you are not too sure, ask around. Ask for mentor organizations like business incubators or org like SCORE in your area for help as well. Ask your dad where the stuff are and get up to speed. Good luck, and Godspeed.

Hi good morning and sorry to here this about your dad.Taxes are easy to handle through a software or a low cost monthly accountant so this is not an issue just do not let taxes lapse it is hard and large penalties can compound making this a tax nightmare. What is the business you are in? Small or not you are more then likely a focused business on a particular specialty and with 25 years of doing this you should be fearless about making major decisions but you should seek advice from the SBA Small Business Administration if you live in the USA?There is a mentor program where you can also get advice before making large decisions about the business that might cause more harm then good. The best thing about making large business discussions os to never make them without planning and a thought about the long term effects (long term meaning 1 year to 5 years).

First you need to ask Dad what he wants done with the business in the event he can not return. Be brave and have the conversation. This is the proper Business thing to do.Second, find some assistance in the area your Dad handled. There is a group of retired businesspeople who can help. The name of the organization is SCORE. Do some research and find the chapter closest to you.Third, ask yourself if you want to keep the business once Dad is out of the picture or would you rather close that chapter of your life? Knowing this answer will determine the steps you take in the not too distant future.Be strong.

How much should total take home pay be for a salesman generating $500K in new business each year? -

I started with a new company in January that set an extremely aggressive sales goal of $1 million for me in my first year. I should note that this is a totally new industry for me, as I have a real estate and marketing background. By the end of my first year (January) I should be well past the $500K mark in total sales. I am just curious as to what other professionals would expect to earn (or pay) for this type of performance during a recession, selling a premium product that is often 2-3x more expensive than the competition. Any feedback would be welcomed.

What sort of profit margin does the industry have? If the company is taking home a 5% margin, then $500K isn t much. If they are taking 90%, then it s an outstanding accomplishment.

Depends on a lot of things. Commission %, federal, state and local tax rate, benefits

Is It hard to get into the music business? -

It s easy to be in the music business really. Find an artist and manage them. Pick up a guitar and amplifier and join the first band you meet. Getting in isn t the issue - it s a question of can you make money?Making money in the music business is very very hard these days on both the artist side and the executive side. Record labels have laid off hundred of talented people who have flocked to other music related jobs like publishing companies, music supervision, music management etc. There are also more musicians out there than ever before both by the number of instruments being sold (according to NAMM) and by the fact that the tools of the internet have allowed everyone to get digital distribution without much difficulty. So easy to get in - damn hard to make a living at it.Best of luck,Rick

entertainment in itself is a very difficult industry no matter what kind of background you come from, what kind of school you attend, and even how good you are.you need a lot of luck, and your talent needs to be recognized by the right people. whether you re a performer or a representative.music is by far the most difficult of all in entertainment, there is less money in music than any other in the business, and finally, music is a failing industry. with illegal downloading, the margins in the music business are dropping by the minute.bottom line..people are constantly losing jobs in the music industry, with no new jobs opening up.

No, but it s hard to make a living and STAY in the music business. 99.9999999% of musicians have a day job. Only 1 in 10,000 can make a living at it.

Only if you do not go on American Idol or similar show.

In order to take something back to Walmart and get your money back do you NEED the recipet? -

We lost all the bags everything was in.. So i was just wondering if you Absoluetly need the recipet to return everything and get your money back.

I m pretty sure that you need to prove that you bought it...so that would kind of require a receipt. I m not sure though, I usually don t bother returning stuff so I d ask if you need it, you might not. They might just be happy to take it for store credit, maybe.

In my experience with Walmart, you would need a receipt to get your money back along with your driver s license. If you don t have a receipt they will give you store credit but you also need your driver s license. They won t even talk to you with out that driver s license. They made me go out to the car to get it.

Each store has their own policy on returns and they re usually posted in customer service areas. When I worked at a certain store, we could only do cash refunds if you provided the receipt, otherwise we would give you that cash amount back on a gift card so you could only use that money in our store.

My cost on an item is $10.00 and I put it up for auction on Ebay. What should my selling cost be? -

What should I charge to turn a profit and cover Ebay and PayPal fees? Thanks!

I could suggest $50 but it may not be worth less or more. You might list for 99 cents with a reserve of $50 if you want, then you can accept the highest offer or none of them. What is this item???

in my humble opinion, you should consider the time, transportation, and the snacks you eat it will cost fair enough for about $30.00.lol

You should check out the press release at http://www.bvdepot.com they are giving away free listing fees for auctions so your profit margin will be much better

Figure out how you much you want to make minus the fees and that should be your answer.

to confusing for me i always use craigs list.. you get to keep all your money

How to start selling baked goods from home? -

I decided to start selling some of my grandmother s Hungarian cookies and pastries. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could start?

If you baked at home and gave away the goodies, all is well.Sell the goodies and someone , local or state, will start asking questions.Lots of questions, like is the kitchen licensed? Are you licensed to sell (anything) ? Got a zoning variance to have a home based business in a residential neighborhood? Do you have insurance etc and etc.If you could rent time at a local, licensed kitchen, you can bypass some of the questions.

You might be interested in a book called Learn How To Make Suds Of Money Working From Home. This book teaches the reader how to create sell party soap favors for baby showers, weddings, birthdays and more.

How do I know your cat didn t jump up on the counter and lick the batter? This could be a question that sways people from choosing to do business with you. A home base for your business could prove problematic.

Im looking to purchase new laptops at wholesale prices I tried tradekey.com and had problems.? -

I want to purchase new laptops at wholesale prices to resell. I have clients already lined up. Does anyone have an idea where Best Buy, or Walmart purchase their laptops or know of a wholesaler I can go too. I tried tradekey.com and was very disappointed with the products and the service. I don t want to go into detail but it was a total lost of money invested.

Did i try http://www.hellotrade.com it s very easy to find suppliers and call them for free. I use it for my business

Those stores do not go threw small third hand wholesalers they buy DIRECT from the manufacture of those products. So do not trust those little wholesalers that are in china they are a rip off! See you just can not compete with those types of stores, plus without a tax id, enough money you would not be able to meet the purchase amount the company may have. Like Apple their minimum order per year you must have over $20,000 spent in your account threw them. Sooo you may be out of luck unless you want to fix computers you can make a TON of money that way........ Sorry and hope you still follow your dream! these people might be able to help with another idea www.integrafirst.web.officelive.com thanks

Try:http://www.esources.co.uk/search-supplieOrhttp://www.esources.co.uk/wholesale-suppYou will find all the verified laptops wholesalers you need there.

I know Wally-World and BB buy theirs direct from the manufacturers,If you have a large enough order, I m sure you can work a deal with HP or Dell,

Tryhttp://www.ebsilk.com/browse/product_lisI am sure you will satisfy with the price and service.Hope it helped.

They buy their stuff directly from the manufacturers. You ll never be able to compete.

Can i register a business in a different state from where i live? i live in one state but the next state is...? -

i live in kind of on the border.. in one state but the next state is closer to me than downtown of the state i live in...

It may depend on the state. I believe you have to have a mailing address in the state you plan to register in. But a mailing address could be a box at one of those post office box locations. I doubt you have to be a state resident to get one of those. I would contact the Secretary of State in the state you want to register in and ask this question. They should know the regulations or be able to get the information for you.Good Luck!!

So can anyone tell me any legit sites to use as a part-time work at home income.? -

I have tried many of these work at home adds only to find out that all of them are scams. They have hidden fees that are charged to your account every month. I am looking to do some online work on the side to bring in a little extra money but what is legit out there.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online

Most programs are not scams. There are tons of opportunities out there on the Net, some require start up costs an some claim that it is free to join. Do not get frustrated when trying to find an opportunity that best matches your talents. I personally have tried many different things before finding something suitable that worked. Even though I did find a good opportunity, there were some issues that I had to work out like transitioning from an employee who was getting paid for my time at a job to an Entrepreneur who is paid for his efforts. Before resuming your search, here are a few things to think about:1- How much time do you have to spend each day working from home?2- How much money do you want to make (realistically) each month?3- How serious are you about making income? What I mean is how long will you persist before choosing to quit if your results do not come as fast as you expect them to?There are many legit opportunities out there but you must use your commons sense and review everything even the fine print. Many offers will have check marks that are already clicked that will make you spend unnecessary money on things you do not need. Make sure to use read everything. Most importantly, use your gut. Some people do make a lot of money (5 or even 6 figures) online BUT they most likely have paid a lot of time and energy to learn their skills by experience.

It is unfortunate that you have been victimized by scams. The problem is that, like you, there are many people who are very much in financial distress trying very hard to make money, and their degree of desperation makes them a perfect victim for the scammers. The hard truth, and one that is quite difficult for most people to accept, is that there are simply no legitimate online jobs; they are all scams or time wasters.Still, the sheer number of people looking for easy money online make for a steady stream of victims for these scammers, that s why they continue to exist.

How Can I Begin to Work From Home !? -

I have a 6 week old daughter .. And I prefer not puting her in daycare because i want to spend time with her .. But i know i need a job .. so iw ant to work from home so i was sondering if anyone could tell me how and where do i start is there any sites that can help .. and is there anyone out there that is working from home , how did u get started ..

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

It is sad to see the many scams that have appeared in response to your question.I honestly believe that you are trying to get a job at home so you can look after your child and yet earn some income for the family; but asking this question here gets you nothing but scams. The only way to get such a job is to possess skills that are relatively uncommon, and that a company will want to pay you for. You can look for advertisements that require your type of skill, and apply for the job with the condition that you need to work from home, but am willing to go to the office occasionally. That will be a better way that trying to get something from here.

I am working from home, but I own home based businesses, not a job working for someone else. www.alpineaccess.com has work at home jobs, but it s phone based work and won t be able to do it with the baby there. I ve got a baby too. It s very difficult to work from home with a baby. You can also try www.kgb.com or chacha.com, but they don t pay very well.If you want suggestions on home based businesses just email me.

Hi Kanece,Many moms take on the challenge that you want to take of raising their child, but staying at home to work. Can i place media mail postage on a small flat rate box? -

Can I purchase and print media mail postage and use it on a Small Flat Rate USPS Box?And if so, would I have to cover up the Priority Mail that s on it?

I mail a lot of stuff, and my guess is that the USPS will not allow you to send that box anything other than Priority Mail. If you have some good tape, slit one corner and basically turn it inside out, then tape the corner back together. Then you can do whatever you want to with the box.

The small Flat Rate USPS box MUST be paid at the flat rate. You are not allowed to use it for other than Priority Mail. If you need to send something media mail, get a different kind of packaging.

Planning to open my new online business. Need your tips on below? -

- I am planning to sell an online resume writing service and would like to accept payments online, how should I open a merchant account to accept online payments including paypal. - how can I make the service most convenient?- what s the best web hosting service and why? any rating? I like mocahost.com but I am still not sure. Thanks!

I can tell you have done some research into the needs of your new venture. Congratulations!I can highly recommend an online course, http://elearning.sitesell.com/bz.html, that takes you through the steps of starting a successful online business by the hand. Each week, a new section is covered by a real live Instructor that has a proven track record for online success. You will cover topics such as getting organic traffic to your new website, how to assure your website is SEO friendly, and best of all how to determine if there is demand for your site theme.Included in the course is a full year of hosting, a domain name of your choice, and all the tools required for online success. You have many choice ahead of you when starting an online business, and it s comforting to know that you can have a whole community of like-thinkers (over 75,000 world wide) backing you up.

-To open a merchant account you just go to http://www.paypal.com and follow their instructions. You will need a checking account to do this and (recommended) a credit card. This could be any credit card or even a good prepaid, such as:http://www.esuperfind.com/prepaidvisa.ph-To make the service most convenient you create an easy to navigate site that explains clearly what you do, how you do it, what your references are, including samples of your work etc.The best way is to took at competitors and see how they do it.-For a great web host I fully stand by http://www.3freedomainnames.computereweb because they are reliable, very cheap, they don t oversell and currently are the only one on the market to offer: multiple IP addresses, as well as unlimited everything.I have been using them for a long time for various businesses that just *cannot* go offline.

I like yahoo because it s cheap and super easy to set-up a simple site.I also like godaddy.com they are easy once you get used to them.

Can any actual accountants or CPAs tell me a little about your career lifestyle? -

I am an aspiring accountant and would like to know more about your hours, when your the busiest and if you truly like what you are doing? Do you work for a private firm or are you a public accountant? The more detail the better. I know my question is a bit broad but any help would be great for some more insight on the field. Thanks.

It varies a great deal. I can tell you that as the primary accountant for a small company I was responsible for all financial reporting. To do this, I made journal entries (many end of month), reconciled all GL accounts, prepared spreadsheets, worked with many softwares (GL, Investment, regulatory reporting, etc). There isn t a typical day, because it depends on time of month. As soon as the month starts, you get to work on the GL. This takes a week or so. Then in the middle of the month get the internal financials printed. Then prepare reports for bosses. If its quarter or year end, then the next step is to prepare regulatory reports. This is a tough challenge, but also somewhat enjoyable since you get a feeling of accomplishment. The hard parts are dealing with uncooperative coworkers. Also, trying to understand some complex regulations is a pain. You may also spend time dealing with banks, brokers, regulators, and auditors. There is required overtime when you projects due, especially the year end. Often vacations will have to be skipped.

Do you think the hookah bar industry will still be around in a few years? -

a friend of mine wants to open a hookah bar soon and wants to know if its a good investment at the moment. what does everyone think?

It depends on how ridiculous smoking bans become in the coming years. Just make sure your friend has a good CPA and a small business attorney. There is a lot of money and red tape involved in opening any type of establishment that sells alcohol and/or tobacco.

How long is one Business day? -

how long is one Business day from today?

It depends on what you mean by business day. Often you will hear you have so many business days to get something like a payment in to a business. Business days in this context are Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday are not normally considered business days. If you are referring to a normal work day or business day in the context of hours worked the following is correct.A business typical day is 8 hours. A week is 40 hours. A month is 173.34 hours and a year is 2000 hours (in the US). The rule of thumb is 8am to 5pm including a 1 hour lunch. There are many variations but the most common is working four 10 hour days rather than five 8 hour days.Hope that helps!

Where can you get capital without any assets banks are a no go and the sba offers little help? -

I have a Business idea that will require about 500,000 to one million and at the moment have no assets no credit and no money? Of course it s impossible but even if i did have lets say good credit and 10,000 dollars it would still be impossible so what to do I want my Business to work so I can be free.Ive heard of angel investors but they want like 40 70% control and only invest in larger companies that have a track record this is insane the world we live in

Unfortunately that is the way it is. Because of all the unsecured loans that have been given out in the past, it has made it very difficult to fine money for businesses today. I own a company that invests into smaller businesses but the main thing I am looking for is, WHEN DO IT GET MONEY BACK. This is what anyone that is willing to invest is looking for. Unfortunately you may have a great idea but if someone has the money, they have the power. It is rear we invest in company do not take at min of 51%, this is protection against my money. On thing your may think of doing, if you are friendly with you bank - ask the bank manager if he knows of any angle investors, not all want an arm and leg - these are people that are willing to invest into things the bank may not be comfortable investing in. (They are usually friends with the bank and tell the bank to send people their way) This is how I started, and how I repay the people that helped me get to where I am today. The money you are asking for - is going towards buying equipment of inventory? Be very careful sending anyone your information or ideas - a confidentiality and nondisclosure should be signed first, even for free advise. Good Luck

We all have great ideas but unlike you, we don t expect someone else to take all the risk if it fails but none of the reward if it works. If your idea is so great, get your parents and friends to loan you the money and pay them a pittance if you are successful but lose all their money if you fail.

No, it s perfectly sane. You just feel entitled. Get over it.

home knitted clothes! people love knitted things if you can knit why not do some to order for a fee not to strenuous and you might enjoy!(you can down load free patterns)if you don t want to spendmoney get the customer to provide wool.

Outside of a small home-based business, there are no decent make-money-from-home methods. Find something to sell, repair, service etc. Medical billing, envelope stuffing, internet surfing...it s all garbage.

Tutoring and childcare (zoning willing) are the two that come to mind.

Is it better to buy items in bulk and sell them on eBay or is it better to dropship them? -

Ive been reading into this whole dropshipping thing and im debating on whether or not to just buy in bulk and sell items for more. Can anyone help me out?

I am a power seller on Ebay and I highly recommend finding yourself a reliable drop-shipping company and I ll tell you why. If you buy in bulk you may get a good price on the items, but unless they are local you will end up having shipping costs to get them to you which in turn just raises the actual cost of each product making it difficult to resale for a profit. Finding a good drop-shipping company is difficult and sometimes requires some trial and error which can lead to negative feedback so go with one of the big boys. You will find that pushing a little paperwork and spending a little time is a lot better than warehousing inventory, trying to find the right size box, packing correctly, and running to ups just isn t worth the time or money you will make. Drop-Ship!!!!

I prefer to buy bulk and sell items off individually. Drop-shipping, to me, causes too much of a headache, if you don t pick a reliable, honest company. Finding one can be hard, as was stated in another response. With drop shipping, you have NO control over what THEY do. Companies have been known to send wrong items, switch delivery methods, send faulty items, etc. YOU as the seller, will have to handle all of these problems and YOUR feedback is put at risk. For some PowerSellers, feedback has little importance because a couple bad experiences will NOT affect their score, however, if you are just starting out or do not have a lot of business, you may run into some problems. Of course, problems arise when buying in bulk as well. YOU must do ALL the labor AND once in awhile you WILL get severly flawed items. I like to be in control of my inventory and know what I am selling and that it IS getting to the correct person in a timely fashion, therefore, buying in bulk makes more sense for me. It s a matter of what you WANT and are willing to do. Good Luck!

Buy BULK! Find some liquidations and break them up and sell them. Do not use dropshipping! The profit margins are just too low.You can buy from a site like liquidation.com and resell on eBay. You can even buy from local clearance and closeout sales. To find out more on why not to use dropshipping see my sources.Good luck but, yes, steer away from dropshipping. It is not a winning proposition on eBay.

buy bulk split them sell them it depends on what goods u sellingsome goods need to be sold split who would want a pallet full of light bulbs? if you only go through like 10 in one year

Can i register/file a sole proprietorship online? -

want to make my business name official. I am in home inprovements, only small jobs ($100 to $2000) usually.. what do you guys recommend?

Yes you can, but only by using a third party service that will prepare and mail all the paperwork for you. It will cost more than if you registered yourself but it will be extremely convenient and you will know the paperwork was filled out correctly.I have personally used LegalZoom and found their services to be excellent. What you should do is start with your Secretary of State s website. There you will find all the information you need on filing a DBA, forming a corporation, LLC, LLP or whatever legal entity you choose. I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.

No, you have to file in your home town, with a recognized business journal type publication. You start the process with a DBA (doing business as) then you move to business cards, commercial bank account to pay for advertising and supplies. Then you can file for a S corporation, with your State.

Avon Vs. Mary Kay. Which is better to sell? -

I m thinking about selling Avon or Mary Kay, but not sure which one to do. I ve used both products and like them both. If you sell any of them let me know your opinion, The pros and cons, start up cost stuff like that.

Please think before you join either. Both Avon and Mary Kay are Multi-level marketing companies (MLMs). Statistics show that 99% of women lose money in all MLMs. I used to sell Mary Kay myself and I have a mother in law who tries to sell Avon. I guess the worst of the two evils is Mary Kay. I say that because for the following reasons:1. A Mary Kay Lady will tell you that you only need $100 for a starter kit. This is true, however in the days following signing your agreement you will be strongly encouraged, manipulated, guilt tripped in any way possible to buy a large inventory package. This is where women get themselves in trouble, and wind up putting thousands on a credit card. You don t have to buy the inventory but the shipping cost for lots of small shipment will severely cut into your profit. Beware--recruiters will do whatever it takes to get you to buy that package. They make a commission! 2. It takes a lot of time to make any money. Don t expect to get rich. It sounds great because you make 50% of whatever you sell right? Say you sold a $100 order to a customer at a home party. You would get $50. That means in order to make $20,000 a year you would have to find 400 people to buy $100 of product. From personal experience this is very difficult. Most people aren t willing to buy $100, and you begin to run out of people to sell to. The way Mary Kay would recommend getting over this is talking to strangers in grocery stores, malls, and anywhere you go. The market is saturated with people desperately trying to sell these products. Besides...20,000 is hardly enough to quit your job over.3. Since Mary Kay does its business through parties. You would have to go to hundreds of woman s home in a year! Mary Kay promises you will get to spend more time with your family and spend time at home. This does not happen because you will be at people s homes, Mary Kay meetings every week, or prowling the mall looking for people to sell to/recruit.4. You only can make a good amount of money by convincing others to sell Mary Kay too. Actually you can only make money if they buy inventory so you can make commission. This means you have to convince all your friends, family and coworkers to sign up and put thousands on their credit cards for inventory they probably won t sell very much of. I m sure a lot of people will disagree with what I ve just said. Some pf them will claim their life is fantastic because of the Mary Kay way. But if you need more proof go to http://www.pinktruth.com/ There you will find lots of women burned by the Mary Kay industry. These women include professionals, and people who worked hard at selling but still got the short end of the stick. As for Avon, I can t say from personal experience what it is like. They don t make you buy inventory, or guilt trip like Mary Kay does. I know that you probably wont make a ton of money.Best of luck!!!Edit:: People may offer you more information in their answers. It may be a way to get you to sign up under them in order to make a commission. Just be careful! =)

I wouldn t do either one because both have way too many reps to compete against for business. I would look around for a company that is newer, has fewer reps and is more up to date with the current trends. I would look for products that are made from natural ingredients, green (made from renewable resources like plant based oils instead of petroleum-based) doesn t do animal testing of products, etc.I d also take a look at all of the fine print and look at the costs, compensation plan (profit margin) and sales or purchase quotas to keep active status or to be able to earn the maximum profit margin.Good luck!

Hello, I sell Avon and my neighbor sells Mary Kay. Avon costs $10 to start which includes everythig you need to get your business started.Mary Kay is way more expensive to start. Avon products are also more affordable for customers. If this has helped you at all and you are interested in starting Avon. Contact me at sherine4avon@gmail.com and I can get you signed up with a rep in your area who will be your mentor throughout your avon career. Good luck in whatever you chose.

I think Avon is better because of the economy Avon s prices seem to most reasonable at this time.It s also only $20 to join online and Avon mails the kit directly to your house.Customers aren t spending as much as they used to but they also seem to have the money to purchase Avon products which aren t expensive at all.Personally for me it definitely has been worth while. I was laid off a month ago and this is my only source of income. I have been able to bring home about $300 every 2 weeks is just a start since I am now full time looking to increase that income. If you are interested in signing yourself up online just visit http://www.start.youravon.com and use reference code lynettebledsoeIf you have any more questions please feel free to email me directly

I have not been with either company, but am in direct sales. As far as companies go I like Mary Kay better. Mainly just because I like the founder and her story.Avon has a wider variety of products.
