Ebay and listing fees? -

Is it still possible to list something for free on ebay if you start it at 99p? What are the total fees like for selling something at say less than 5 (through ebay and paypal)? I m looking into selling a lot of books and need to know how much is going to come off with end fees and so on. I doubt any will reach 5 or more. Ta

Yes if you list something for 99p or less the listing is free but this doesn t include the cost of adding pictures (the 1st is free but the rest are 12p each) adding a buy it now price etc. It s free with the basic one picture, auction only style listing. At the end of the auction you will pay 10% final valuation fee on each item and a 2.5% cut from paypal, for these two together on a book costing 5 you d pay about 62p in charges. Do remember though that postage has to be free on books, so you will need to consider how much each book will cost to post before deciding to list an item at 99p. It may not be worth your while lisitng them at all if the books only go for 99p, by the time you ve paid the fees about 10p and paid postage anywhere up to about a 1.00 your out of pocket.

Books now have to have free postage on ebay so you are unlikely to make much money. Have you tried www.greenmetropolis.com?
