Not quite sure I understand the question, as it is rather obvious. When a model represented by an agency is booked for a photo shoot or other kind of work, a percentage of the fees paid goes to the agency. The model does not get 100% of the fees!

Generally through booking fees and commissions when they book their models on jobs. Most agencies take a 15-20% commission from the model s earnings, then get a 20% booking fee from the client. For example, if you book a model on job for $100, the agency would make $15-20 through commission (taken out of the model s pay - the model would receive $80-85) and a $20 booking fee from the client. An agency is only successful if they can book their models on as many high paying jobs as possible.It all depends on which clients your agents/bookers have relationships with.

I found a retail space where I want to open a children s clothing/toy shop. It is the perfect square footage and rent price, but it is next to a nail salon. When I went to look at the place it smelled like harsh chemicals. The landlord of the property owns both and she is avoiding any questions I ask her about it. She basically said well the store space has fans and you can always open the doors, not really a good solution especially in the dead of winter in the Northeast.

News flash:Nail salons use harsh chemicals, like acetone and many others. It s normal. Just because you don t like the smell is not a reason to suspect they re using lllegal chemicals . What IS an illegal chemical? I am 99.9999% sure they re doing nothing wrong. Take the MO s to your bank, see if they are legitimate. I am guessing you are distributing forged checks, which is a felony. I would recommend the areas around Denver and Colorado Springs CO. There are some wonderful mountain towns very near Colorado Springs. Gorgeous scenery and Colorado Springs is a nice city with job opportunities. Of course, Denver is larger so probably more jobs. It s about an hour north of Colorado Springs. There are a few mountain towns near there, too. I also love Estes Park, CO. This mountain town is basically the gateway into Rocky Mountain National Park, but is a bit farther from the city.

look up dog walkers in your area and base your charge on what others are charging for similar services.

since you said getting into dog walking I m assuming you d be doing it for pin money and only within your neighborhood. If you know the neighbors I d say in general conversation ask them if they need someone to walk their dogs, and if they smile and say ok (and ask what experience you ve had doing that, i.e. if you ve ever had dogs before, how long, etc.) and they say they d like to hire you then ask them how much it would worth for you to walk them daily 7 days a week...and go from there. If you don t have a real business (have a license, an accounting system set up and a plan) then you can t tell them what you want to charge, you need to ask them what it s worth to them. Remember that walking dogs could get dangerous if you run up against an unleashed dog in the neighborhood who wants to play or charge the animals you have on a leash so you would need to know ahead of time what you can and can t do and what you should do to protect them and yourself. Here where I live we need to watch out for aligators, but in normal places you d need to watch out for cars, check for good leashes and be sure that the dog or dogs can t overpower you in strength (by them running from you). I would suggest too that you have insurance for yourself in case you get bit. Some people these days require contracts so you might want to look at a few and determine if it suits your business or not.
