Advice on starting a business for my son? -

My son has had a business idea his friend used to run a business delivering milk to Commercial premises ie (Shops, Pubs, Hotels, Cafes, ect) His friend has since give up the business and moved abroad. You have to have a good location, a place where internet cafes are not saturated. Some business owners place it near schools, but as you might expect this may already be a saturated market. I would suggest a place where there is a junction of 2 or more brangays if possible. Of course, after buying the book, you realise that you ve been scamed.There are ones (pyramid schemes) that take money from you (in form of buy-ins, upgrades etc) and don t give anything back, or give you a cent/day (the ones that give out $1000 per click or email are BS, of course).These are only a few examples, altough the list could go on. My advice, after 4 years of trying to become rich over night, is this: don t listen to the never heard before secrets , they will only end up in a negative ballance for you. Trust me...

Oh hell yeah! All the time. I only post sale items on there if its the last resort. Depending on if what I m selling is worth the headache ill get from the responses. Its way to frustrating most of the time a big waist of time. Once in a blue moon you might get a decent person responding to you. But don t ever hold your breath. Id say stick to just Ebay or post an ad in your local news paper. Unless you can stand the headaches. Most people responding from CL are either extremely rude, really mean or just flat out retarded as hell. I don t know what the world is coming to.

Hate to break it to you but no one s gonna pay anything remotely close to $10k for your earrings. I think it really depends on what the neighborhood is like you are delivering to. If there are long driveways and lots of space between houses it would be longer. Just to give you an idea, I did 200 door hangers in about 2 hours in a neighborhood with short driveways. I think if I ever do that again I ll just hire a neighborhood kid to do it. Bank of America charges $6 to cash a business check. In my opinion, they have my money. It s mine and I have every right to have it. I m not asking them to transfer funds to my account, nor am I asking them to go out of their way to get the money to me. I am taking the check to them, all they have to do is punch a couple buttons on the computer, see that there is money in the account and hand me some cash that they have in the drawer right next to the teller.

As far as suggesting items I m afraid I can t be much help. Us guys usually aren t into stuff like that. That could be a viable way to create income. They key is how well you market it though. That is the key. You could have the best products in the world, but if people don t know about them and where to buy them nothing else matters. Focus more on how you ll market the products and you can figure the rest out as you go along. Start out small though, don t have too many designs. Keep it simple and you can add more as you grow.

A prospect would be any person or company who is potentially interested in your services, like restaurants and catering companies. Hotels need chefs too. I suppose that there are some very wealthy individuals out there (Bill Gates for example), who have their own personal chef. So, technically speaking, those individuals are job prospects as well. Look at all the cooking shows on TV - all of those shows need a back-up/support kitchen staff - yet another category of job prospects for a culinary arts person.

There are ton s of books on how to start your own photography business.

SBDC which is the Small Business Development Center. They will probably be connected with an college and or Chamber of Commerce in your area. They are run through US Small Business Administration (SBA)Another group is SCORE also through SBA, are retired business executives that can assist as well.

Can you expand on this? What you are taking pictures of would determine the route you take. Wedding photos and National Geographic photographers would not start out the same way.

(High traffic location is a must for clothing business).. what will be your specialty ?? adult / females/ males/ or everything ??.. it will cost you alot much if you get everything at once as a start.. and you would not have the nice variety for each devision you want .. If you are looking to sell Adult and young people, clothes and Shoes.... you are looking for $70,000.00 at least to make a decent start, and decent startup push profit.. or customers base.. How can you become a Courier with your own normal car? -

I have a small sedan and am wondering how I could become a courier with my own car.I often see normal looking cars around with COURIER written on the sides in white text and wonder how they become one with little cars.Does this mean that you work the same hours as the Van drivers or go longer distances etc?Can anyone help me out with this?

Sounds like you want to become an independent contractor to a courier company. Not knowing the area you are from I would start by looking at the Yellow Pages under ��Couriers�� and ��Delivery Services�� and call some to see what it would take to get started working for them. I would recommend calling the most well known courier companies in your area first; smaller companies may not have the customer base to give you steady work. Most courier companies prefer the vehicles to be trucks or vans but do keep available smaller cars to handle the smaller packages and runs, especially in congested downtown areas of cities. There is a company in my town that only has small cars. Remember as an independent contractor you are responsible for all expenses of your vehicle; gas, oil, maintenance, insurance etc��. You will also be responsible for your own taxes; the company won��t withhold any taxes. You may also incur uniform rental or purchase cost, cell phone or two-way radio rental or purchase. You will definitely need to have business insurance on your vehicle and cover all your bases on having your vehicle marked with some companies name you aren��t directly employed by. Other words don��t put ��XYZ Courier�� on your vehicle if you insurance doesn��t allow it. Marking your vehicle with a company name opens up some liability issues if you are ever in an accident. There is always that person out there looking to get in to an accident with a company vehicle just for that juicy lawsuit. Will you get any special runs because you have a car, maybe. It��s unlikely that the dispatcher will send a 30 foot box truck to pick up an envelope to be delivered 50 miles away. Hope this helps a little.
