Should I start a company or LLC for apartment complexes? -

My father owns three individual apartment complexes and he ll be retiring in the future and I ll probably taking ownership of them. He has always been just the owner of these properties, he has never established a company or LLC for them. In answer to Judy s comment above, yes, Judy they did at one time.Why don t they now? It s more cost effective for the bank to stock only one denomination. You can fill more money into a machine if it is all $20 then if you were to put in 5s or 10s. This means filling the machine less. It also avoids the wrong money being loaded in the wrong slot and hence dispensed incorrectly.

I have an employee who was salaried every 2 weeks, he worked one full day, did not call or show up the next, then came in for 2 hours to get his paycheck and then quit, can I legally pro-rate his pay based on the actual hours he did work for his last paycheck? There are 3 sizes of boxes you can get for free at the post office. That s the way I normally ship. Other than that I use parcel post. Get yourself a scale. If you can t afford one, weigh yourself on your own scale and then step off, pick up the package and step back on. The difference is the weight of your package. Gives you a rough idea. Then go to the postal rates on the computer and see what it will cost. Add a little for handling and you have it. If you can t do this, package the item up and take it to the post office, tell them to check the rate to the farthest zip code from your home. This also gives you a rough estimate. You can also look up the item your selling to see if someone else is selling the same thing and check what they are charging for shipping.By the way they have a shipping calculator with ebay also. But my items are usually heavy so I flat rate them. It s a lot easier.You can also call ebay, they will give you all the help you need. They also have a live chat line right on the site.

Find a guitar manufacturer that does PRIVATE LABEL. Thats the lingo. Someone that will produce a guitar, add your logo, and either send it to you or do something called DROP SHIPPING. Where they will send it DIRECTLY to your clients. One thing, they will have your clients information and can market to them. On the other hand you have no inventory.Build a website, have them make one of each tyoe, and your website sends them invoices and you pay weekly or monthly on the website orders.Ask the turnaround time from order to you getting it in the USA. Taxes, etc etc and you know what your overhead is. They may charge you 5 at a time, 10 at a time. Or 1 at a time. Since you will be getting the money upfront on your website your payments will always be on time. I can help you contact me. Hi, your website seems very nice. It has a nice clean look to it, is well organized and user-friendly. Outside of that, I did a search on a couple of the items that you offer. Your website does not appear anywhere in the listings (at least not in the top 200) for the keywords, which I entered into the search engine. I also used the same keywords listed from your source code. For an online store/business to have any success, it is suggested by experts that, your website appear on page 1 or page 2 of the search engine results for keywords. So my suggestion is to have your website optimized or SEO d (Search Engine Optimization). That may help to get more customers to your site if done properly.

I am in Britain and don t know the US economy as well as ours, though I expect them to be similar. If so, the problem a lot of high-end stores are facing is that a lot of otherwise potential customers have either lost their jobs or have taken a pay cut and are looking to reduce their expenditure.I say to every business that you can t sell anything unless and until you have customers in your shop. Why not buy in some cheaper, less attractive stuff and advertise your Bargain Basement - break your categories even further down to Under $25 and Under $50 .Of course, you don t want to become a downmarket store. You re just trying to get new customers in to look round at your stock. So with each of your bargain basement items build a hyperlink to see similar products , which will take the customer to the more attractive goods and perhaps persuade them that the high price is really worthwhile paying.

Your friend should be able to file a lawsuit in small claims court as long as the amount in dispute is under 10,000 dollars. Small claims court is designed for people and situations where using a lawyer would be to expensive or not possible. Where I am from it is actually discourage by the court for either party to hire a lawyer. Your friend should go to the local court and ask for paperwork to file the claim. She will need to know the name and address (at a minimum) in order to get the paperwork served to the contractor. They will set a court date and the contractor has to show up or he loses and if he shows up and loses then the court should be able to give collection options to your friend. I believe she can even file the claim for more than the down payment for the cost of the hassle and paperwork, etc. So check that out. If the value is higher than 10 grand then your friend might want to talk to a lawyer about representing her and payment to be made out of recovered money. If your friend really does have a case and the lawyer sees that they will likely get paid from that I m sure it would work out.
